The morning I pick up the car the repairs weren't done, noticed a large 12" long stain on the hood. How the service department didn't see this, is inexcusable. Salesman said they would arrange to pick up my car fix scratches and buff out the entire hood. Over 2 wks later no response... Called their tech support regarding remote services, left 3 msgs over 9 days, no response received. Left vmsgs with salesman, he would only respond via text. Had them send me the touch up paint, ended up fixing scratches and stain on the hood on my own. Extremely disappointed with level of detail and lack of follow up with Hoffman BMW.

I signed, and returned the purchase order which included $500 for registration. On Feb 11th, she emails and says "Our Registration Team got back to me" and she has increased the price by $1,782. This is after I had signed the purchase contract. Another sleeze move...You know how the dealers want a finance person to "Meet with You" so they can pressure you into accepting high margin add-ons? In the old days, it was rust-proofing that actually voided the manufacture's warranty...Hoffman Auto Group would not send me the Closing Paperwork ahead of time! Why give the customer a chance to prepare when sleezy dealers can ambush them? BMW National was notified and they should be ashamed of this dealer.

Later, I personally flew from North Carolina to Connecticut to view the vehicle, only to be met with arrogance and dismissive behavior. Respect and professionalism should be standard in any transaction -- especially when a customer is clearly serious enough to travel for the purchase. That there is no place better, period. I took my 2008 Lincoln MKZ to them in the summer of 2020 for the first time and I was blown away with the way they eased my concerns about my car. I was just in that…read moreposition, and if you're anything like me you'll know half of looking for a shop is finding one that you can trust to do work on your sports car to the same level of trust you would have doing it yourself. Jannetty Racing Enterprises (JRE) recently did work on my modified C7 Z06 corvette. While it was just an alignment and tires, they did more than a great job. Even though tires and alignment seems routine, you may know that it's actually not for sports cars with wide low profile tires and in fact is how I found Jannetty Racing. I called Hunter Engineering (maker of top-of-the-line automotive shop equipment). Jannetty is one of the very few shops in the area that have both Hunter revolution (for "touchless" mounting") and Hunter roadforce (for high-speed balancing along different force/load conditions). They can handle Z06 and Viper-width tires with ease. After putting my new wheels/tires through the paces I can say this is probably the best tire job I've ever had. Even the wheel/tire package I got from tire rack online w/ the same mount and roadforce is not as smooth. The alignment proved a similar experience. Tony is the type of gentleman you hope to have straightening out your car. He's been doing it as many years as I've been alive, so talking with him was like talking with a old-school master craftsmen. He found a somewhat hard to diagnose reason for my rear cross camber being out of wack, with one side having basically a track-like camber degree while the other side more in spec. Taking care of that, he got the camber, toe, and caster all dialed in perfectly. The car tracks straight, doesn't tramline anymore, and doesn't kick under wheel spin. Outside of what was worked on, they have a large team that is clearly passionate about cars. From the moment you talked to their team on the phone, you know you are talking with folks that know the in's and out's. Ted took time to talk cars and share his thoughts on my car and related cars - only found out later he was the owner of JRE. Give Jannetty Racing some consideration since their Yelp rating is artificially low on here (their Google rating is higher, but I wanted to post my review here for that reason). Many dealers will need to have a specialized person (in my case a Chevy Vette tech) to do much of what it seems pretty much anyone at Jannetty can do. Their prices are about what dealers may charge, but if you're reading this, you're probably not bringing in your run-of-the-mill high-volume econobox cars that dealers are best setup for.
