Derek at Paradise Window Coverings took care of my entire house during a recent remodel. Derek was awesome in how he took care of us, and even though they were various other issues with the renovation (none that were under his scope of work) he took the time to accommodate every hiccup and ensure we got exactly what we wanted. He went above an beyond to also get replacements that were damaged during the renovation and came back multiple times to install and uninstall the shades due to issues with the paint finish. We also selected a product called the Aura Shade which has never been brought to Hawaii before. He worked to seek out an Alaska peer to get them for us and have them installed and serviced. First class service from start to finish! We had just installed new wood flooring and decided that we should replace our window blinds. We contacted 3 different vendors, Derek Koki of Paradise Window Coverings was the most responsive and personable. He came to our home and showed us the different options and materials that he could provide. We decided to go with a motorized operated roller shade system with fabric valance. Because the top of our window header and sliding glass door header are at different heights we decided to align all the valances a little higher on the wall instead of having a jog in the valance where the windows meet the sliding door. That looks so much better, good decision. Derek showed up with another installer (Dave) and installed the roller shade system himself. You could tell that Derek and Dave like each other and like working together. They installed the roller shades, motors and valance and showed us how to use the remote control. The roller shades work great and with a press of a button all the shades open or close (very handy when you need to rush out of the house). I had an all-around amazing experience with Paradise Window Coverings. From the moment I inquired to the installation, Derek Koki has been communicative and timely. Derek came to my home, took measurements and gave me advice about styles and colors (the color selection and shade percentage came out better than I hoped for). I have a window in the stairwell that face west, to the setting sun. I knew that I wanted to hang a motorized window shade (not the typical blinds which will make it difficult to maintain) in the hard to reach stairwell window. That was a fantastic option since it really does cut out the heat and glare. He guided me through my decision-making process. I didn't mind paying the extra cost of motorized blinds; it's totally worth it. He emailed me photos of the installation area and the placement of the molding to be certain that we were both in agreement before moving to the next step.
