So I called Told Plumbing and told them I just wanted a new one installed, since I'm now a bit handicapped can't haul water heaters around any more. The guy that does the work called me and asked me about the brand/warranty and where I got it. When he got here, he said he'd take care of it. He ripped it out, hauled it down to Lowes, and got them to replace it for free with a newer model! He ended up only charging me for the installation which was less than the cost of the new water heater itself. Woot! THAT is what I call customer service! The guy's name is "JP"

Salt Lake Plumbing stated that they could see me today and left me a name and number. I called Chad and he got a tech to come to my house in only 30 minutes. He saw my problem and gave me options. He didn't try to guilt me into doing the more expensive work. He did the job I needed and was done in less than an hour. Clean and professional. I would use Salt Lake Plumbing again.

What ended up happening? He never showed up and no one called to tell us where he was. We called the office and apparently he was behind, which would have been great information for my wife. He finally did come and fixed the issue but he pointed out some other issues we needed done. We scheduled him a second time, and made sure to stress that we needed him to come first thing in the morning so my wife could switch around her schedule to be there. Once again he didn't show up, at least this time he communicated to my wife that he would be late that day, at a time neither of us would be there so we gave him the code to our door to let himself in. He never came!!!! Again!!! Both me and my wife have been texting him asking if he came and what was done and what still needs to be done and he never answered. Id recommended Assist it an LLC they do work for low income seniors instead of paying top dollar for poor service. My grandma loved this guy's dad I guess. However 2026 is not 1990 and legacies die. Before calling Tingey we had tried to work with half a dozen other companies who would either not call us back, or would come out and charge us for their opinions but not finish the work. Jared was always so prompt, professional, and informative when I worked with him to get our plumbing fixed. Not only did he call me back when he said he would, he would also follow up quickly if any of the times changed for the team to come out (which they only did once by 30 minutes). Jordan spent a whole day at our house fixing our septic issue and during these crazy times of COVID he made sure to wear a mask, gloves, and sanitize everything thoroughly. He went above and beyond by noticing issues with our water heater as well as helped to diagnose other issues he came upon that were not even connected to the original problem without charge. I can't thank Tingey enough for helping us out in a time when we really needed it and being so prompt. I'd absolutely recommend them for any job (large or small) and will absolutely call them again and ask for Jordan to help us out.

So far so good on the second time, but it was not Tingey that came the second time. Now they are wanting payment for the first time. I will probably pay but am not happy that it happened again in such a short time. I would like this to not go on a credit report as they took my payment information the first time but never used it.
