These guys used to be great, around 2016. Now I'm pretty sure this is a shell (empty) company, if you contact the company for service they will sub-contract it out to a bigger AC company and you will end up paying tons $$$. I loved Bryce and his team, they were great guys and hard working, and really when my AC went out right after my baby was born. But after Bryce divorced his wife... something bad happened to the company? Also -- the owner's wife signed me up for a credit card without my approval and without my social security number (Wells Fargo). I assume it was so she could get one of those sign-up bonuses ($50?). My AC was on it's last breath and from the initial call to the completion of replacing my AC unit, the entire experience was very customer based and never once did they try to "sell" me anything. They presented my options and gave their opinions, then helped me come to the most rationale decision. I ended up going with a brand new unit. These guys busted their a** to get it done so my kids and I would no longer suffer with no AC during this hot summer. I appreciated their honesty, how quickly they got back to me, and installed the AC. The owner was even in the trenches or should I say "attic" with his soldiers ensuring that it was done the right way. This experience was a good one. I would and will recommend them to anyone! Your service was terrible - the Service Tech - Robert was suppose to call my wife before he showed up but did not. He told my wife that we had to pay another $95 service trip fee to look at HVAC unit on the roof. I was misinformed by Candy that (Robert) would be able to trouble shoot that day and not have to pay additional service trip fee for him to inspect the unit on the roof. He just showed up for 5 minutes said leak was not from the AC unit and collected his fee and left - did not even provide receipt or invoice. I would not recommend this company at all for HVAC services. Save your money and look elsewhere. read more

I've used AC Expertek for years and thought Brice and his company were honest and fair. For some reason this year he gave up on honesty. I have several houses and really liked being able to call Brice because he would take care of business. I had a heating issue at my house and Brice said I needed a valve at $800 so he installed it. The problem remained which he now says is a computer board so he installed a new one but gave it to me at cost due to the issue of 250. The part is $50 online for me. The board now has a short which he says are loose connections not in the board. I inspected the issue and it is clearly a loose connection in the board. Needless to say, I will no longer use Brice or AC Expertek. Very sad. read more

This was a 5 star review that unfortunately has gone way south. The 5 star service actually refers to a service call made in 2012, when the control module (motherboard) on my a/c went. The service was fast and efficient and professional. So, when my blower fan started going recently, I immediately called them first. Thankfully, given the temps, the fan has not gone totally, but it's obviously on its way out given the way it's performing. I first called and left a voicemail for them to come out (before I knew what the problem was), but then cancelled soon after , because the a/c continued to work. When someone from the company called back to make sure I really didn't need the service, I asked about availability in case the a/c finally died and he let me know to call no-matter-what-time if there were a problem. When I asked about after hour charges, he let me know there would be an extra charge for working "golden time", but when pressed, wouldn't tell me what that charge would be over the usual $86 house-call fee. That was "warning No. 1". When I later determined that this most likely was a blower fan problem, I called him back asking what the approximate cost would be to replace the blower with labor. He chuckled and asked if I was shopping around. Obviously, it would've been stupid to deny it and there was no reason to. His response was, and I quote, "You won't find anyone cheaper than me and the service won't be any better (heh heh heh)" (And I'm not kidding about the sarcastic laugh at the end). When I once again tried to pin him down on an APPROXIMATE price --- not a guaranteed one --- the response was, "You call around and I guarantee, I'll beat anyone by 20%." So ... what? If I called back with a low price, would I then get an interrogation on who offered it or a speech on how their service and work was bad if he wasn't prepared to match or beat the price? Then again, why should I even have to play such games? Now, those kind of responses might be perfectly acceptable and attractive to some people who, I don't know, like bargaining at the local bazaar. As a business owner, I find it evasive and unprofessional (and, therefore, untrustworthy). There's a place for bargaining and I don't think this is that place. I could only imagine how another customer might feel if their fan actually HAD crashed and had to deal with this unprofessionalism while the thermometer rose above 100F outside and over 90F in their house and they were stuck in a situation putting them at this guy's mercy. To be completely fair, this company's work and abilities might still be as great as it was three years ago. But this "customer service" was more than enough to turn me completely off (as was his calling me back later in the day, thinking I was some woman he spoke to earlier. Really, if you can't keep your customers straight, is that supposed to give me confidence that your bartering over the phone was just a one-time aberration?). Too bad. read more

I called A C Expertek because they were local to me in Goodyear. I'm glad I did. They showed up at my house no matter what, even after being short handed due to an employee heart attack that day. They did a checkup on my air conditioning when I purchased my house and I ended up buying a service contract. Again glad I did that. I just had my second check up, didn't have to pay again because of the contract I purchased, and this time my air conditioner had water backing up. They flushed it with no additional charge but normally it would've cost without the contract. The guy that came was super nice. I will continue to use this company. read more

If you have an a/c problem, call Bryce. Bryce has been helping us since 2014 when our previous a/c company gave up on trying to get our RUUD unit that they installed in 2013 to run in accordance with our expectations. The humidity in our house (yes, in Peoria, AZ) was unbearable to us (but within "tolerance" by book numbers). Bryce went the extra mile, listening to our concerns, even getting the RUUD rep out to our home and when that was unsuccessful, suggested the APS energy assessment. APS sent the Marshall Insulation company (great evaluation!) who noted that to get humidity out of the air to a more tolerable level required using the higher compressor stage/speed. The effect on our utility bill was disconcerting considering we had a brand new unit. And who knows about any acceleration of age to the unit. Word to the wise--do your homework about units, especially the expensive "high efficiency two-stage" systems & note issues with certain a/c units & their evap coils. Better yet, just listen to Bryce's advice. The recent total evap coil failure & resulting cost for labor to replace was the final straw and we gave up on the unit & asked Bryce to install a new Trane. The cost for the Trane was $2,000 less than the other problem unit & what an immediate difference!!! Love, love, love, the strong, COLD air that blows in our house now. We were in a real bind when our AC went out on a Saturday. We called over a dozen AC repair vendors, and AC Expertek was able to come out with short notice. Derrick Kenyon was the assigned AC technician who came out to our property on Sunday, and after assessing the issue, he found that the fan motor blade and blower had to be replaced. Although the parts store was closed, he called the owner and asked them to open the store so he could get the necessary parts to complete the repair same day! There was an added fee for the store owner to come open store, which we found to be very reasonable! Derrick left our house to get the parts and returned shortly thereafter and completed the AC repair. He also assessed our AC and made some additional recommendations for preventative maintenance. The fact that Derrick went out of his way to get the parts necessary to get our AC repaired on a Sunday was amazing and over and above standard customer service. He was also very friendly and knowledgeable. We have a 15 year old, blind, diabetic and Addisonian dog at home and he NEEDS his AC (as we do we)! I hardly ever go on yelp or write reviews, but, found it necessary to share my positive feedback and gratitude for Derrek and AC Expertek! I called this company because I had been through 2 prior companies the first one fixed 1 issue left me two more. I called a second company they fixed the mess of the second guy,but not completely since I had to call A/C Expertek. I came to think since no one can fix it correctly I need to replace the unit. I called A/C Expertek they offered me services the next day. I requested a quote from Bryce for a new unit and he suggested see if he can save me money by fixing issues and that's what he did. I recently had my A/C compressor fail so I called A/C ExperTek. Bryce was able to not only diagnose the issue correctly over the phone, but had it replaced with a brand new unit the very next morning! We were without A/C to our upstairs portion of our house for only 9 hours! I've known Bryce for a while now and have always found him to be a man of honor and integrity. After going through several companies in the past that tried to upsell me to complete new units costing $9-10,000 EACH (I have two units in my home) instead of just performing the needed repair, I am happy to say I finally found a business I trust wholeheartedly!
