I had a 30 foot tree bowing over into my neighbors yard and pushing against my fence, a second very over grown tree hanging over my fence, two large bushes approx 3 x 5 x 5 that had not been pruned or trimmed in about 5 years and a few small tree stumps in my front yard I wanted removed. Alejandro and his guys do pretty ok work. I had them remove about 12 tree and shrub stumps from my front and backyard. They ground down the stumps and dug up most of the roots, enough so that planting something else there will be minimal work. When the finished up they cleaned everything up and left it better than they found it. Very happy with them, will recommend to others. read more

Alejandro came out to our home in South OC (Laguna Niguel) and gave us an estimate for removal of a network of climbing vines that were growing out of control. He gave us a very reasonable estimate and was back at our place the very next morning to do the job. He was very friendly, professional and works quickly. A few hours later, the job was done. He does beautiful work and we were very pleased with the outcome. He is polite, punctual and did exactly what he had promised he was going to do when he gave us the original estimate. We contacted a couple companies to remove a small tree from out backyard. It was located in a side yard that was close to the house and bordered a neighbor's yard. Cabral Tree Service was not the least expensive but was available within a day or two so we decided to contract with them. They arrived on time and did a great job, removed all the debris and swept the area clean, nothing fell in the neighbor's yard. AND gave me a guaranty that if the tree grew back he would come back and cut it down for free...lol read more

After reading other Yelp reviews I called Alejandro & asked him for a quote on a tree removal with stump grind at a rental property that I have in Laguna Beach. I sent him a picture via text so he had an idea of the size of the tree. The price he gave me was extremely competitive. I asked him to be at the property on a specific day due to the fact that I do not live there. He turned up on time with an additional 2 guys but he did all of the tree work himself, they tidied up & loaded the truck. They did a great job & left the area clean & tidy. I needed ten tree stumps removed from my property so I searched yelp* for a tree service company and I found A. Cabral Tree Service. Based on the five-star ratings, I contacted the company for an estimate. Mr. Cabral came to my house the next night, assessed the work I wanted done, and quoted a cost that shocked me in a good way. After hearing tales of exorbitant estimates and costs from friends and co-workers for similar services, Mr. Cabral's quote was all I needed to know that he was the one for the job. Mr. Cabral was able to schedule the removal of the stumps for the next day and he did a great job; I could not be happier with the service he provided. And he is a really nice gentleman. When the time comes to prune my trees, I will be using A. Cabral Tree Service again; I'm not going to waste my time attempting to find another company who would compare. read more

We have a small backyard that hasn't been kept well with overgrown plants and a large melaleuca tree that has since grown to be taller than our house. I needed to get a tree service but had no idea who is good and what it would cost. Thank goodness for Yelp! I researched and talked to several tree services to get an idea of prices before I found Alejandro by chance. Not sure why he didn't show up in my original search term. He was very responsive, came in and gave an estimate that was better than everyone else. He was also very quick and accommodating when scheduling for his service. Just a side note if you are curious about Feng shui. Never let a tree grow taller than your house as it takes good energy away from you and when you decide to chop down a tree, talk to a feng shui expert to get the most auspicious timing to take it down so that it doesn't affect the energy of the house (and you!) in a negative way. We needed our trees cut by 9am on a certain day. Alejandro and his crew came before 8 and by 8:30, the tree was down. We were very impressed with his work and the level of professionalism he exhibited. After talking to him about our overall landscape design, he was able to find a contractor for us to install concrete planter boxes. We will soon have him back to plant new trees and plants for us. He just came to remove a large palm tree from my yard (including the stump) and lace out four decorative trees that we have never cut. I hate to sound a discordant note in the symphony of praise for A. Cabral Tree Service, but my experience was a little different and I thought I should let people know about it. Let me start by saying that I can't comment on their work, because I ended up hiring someone else -- my comments are restricted to their estimation process. I contacted Carbral for an estimate, and a very nice man showed up on time and gave a very reasonable estimate. I thanked him and asked to receive a written estimate before going forward. I gave him my email, and he said he would send it. A couple of days later I still hadn't heard anything, so I tried to contact them using the email address on their web page. The email bounced, so I tried again the next day and still it couldn't be delivered. So I called the company and left a message saying there was a problem with their email and that I was waiting for a written estimate. After waiting for a day or two, I called again, and this time got hold of the guy who had given me the oral estimate. He promised to send the written estimate, and this time it did arrive -- but was for $100 more than the original oral estimate!!! I replied to his email, reminding him of the original amount, and asking if I had misunderstood something (I'm pretty sure I hadn't). This time the email apparently went through , since I didn't get a non-delivery message back, but I never received a response to my inquiry. This was the first time I had experienced a tree service not using a written estimate, and the reluctance to provide one when asked, as well as the jump in price when they finally did, made me very suspicious. I can't reconcile these events with their generally excellent reputation as shown by other reviews, and I suppose this situation could have resulted from a series of misunderstandings, but I think it would be wise to insist on a written estimate up front when dealing with this company. read more

I have one pine tree needs to be trim back and a nasty liquid amber tree which is outside of my yard, but the leaves and balls always fall in my yard. I want it also trim back. Alejandro showed up on time for estimate and we went through the details. I specifically told him I want the pine tree branches far away my patio and also the branches of liquid amber should cut by the trunk so it won't grow leaves. The quote is the same as other place, but I decide to use them because of the great reviews on yelp. He and few guys showed up at 8am for tree trimming. I went home on my lunch break to check the progress. They already almost complete the job. I checked the pine tree. The branch still touches the patio. I told him they should cut back more. He said that's not what we agreed on and he want more money. I have no choice but agree to pay more. The clean up job is so so. They didn't even put back the furniture to their original place. After they left, I found out that few of my sprinklers are broken. It shoot up water like fountain. I am quite upset that they didn't bother to tell me. Oh they also broke the light in the public area. I have to keep calling and they came two days later to fix the broken sprinklers.They didn't even apologize for the mistake. This is such a unpleasant experience. I am not sure why other people rave about this service. I am definitely not a returned costumer. read more

He said he would drop by and then give me a quote. A week later no quote. I texted and left another message, but no word.
