It was an emotionally and physically demanding process. Choosing the right movers was critical. I interviewed several movers, and many were uninterested in handling fine art, a grand piano, in having a thoughtful conversation about the complexity of my move or lacked proper insurance that would cover a meaningful loss should one occur. From my first interaction with Joseph, one of the co-owners of Strong Bros., however, I felt heard and respected. He readily acknowledged that my grand piano required specialty movers, but--importantly--he also showed genuine interest and care for the art my husband and I had collected over the years. Before making a final decision, I requested some names of other clients the company had moved and received glowing reviews. I am very glad I followed their recommendations. Joseph promised a stress-free, damage-free experience, and delivered on that promise. Joseph came to my home, thoughtfully walked through each room with me, and meticulously documented what would be moved and what would remain. After I spent several weeks doing a substantial amount of the packing and moving myself, Joseph returned for a second visit, reassessed the scope of the move, and offered a discount at my request in recognition of the work I had already done. I deeply appreciated hat level of fairness and integrity. Joseph and Andrew arrived on time every day during the move, were consistently polite, professional, and fully engaged, and spent four days to complete the move. While Strong Bros. was the most expensive of the companies I interviewed, their value was unmistakable. Their care in handling my belongings, their attention to detail, and their commitment to proper insurance coverage--far beyond the bare minimum--gave me peace of mind during an otherwise stressful time. What ultimately sets Strong Bros. apart, however, is not just the quality of their work, but the quality of their character. He wrapped things I told him not to and not just wrapped them but blankets, bands and plastic wrap. When I asked him about it when he walked by me with 5 things that I had told him didn't need to be wrapped, (because it was taking WAY longer than it should) he told me he needed to protect his shins!!! He also claimed that the move was 100 feet from door to truck (not 50 ft as I had told them). Images show how close it was. When I spoke to the office manager after the move and told her how unhappy I was with how this move was handled, she informed me that the person who did the move was the owner and her husband and that he FORBID her to give me any kind of discount. I'd recommend looking at other movers who are in the area, because you have zero recourse with this company and they don't stand behind their work or follow your instructions.

The guitar was missing its case, and was placed in a "speed pack". There were damages (cracks and scratching). We spoke and both of us agreed to resolve this by taking it to his resources for repair. A few hours later he claimed to have gone to 2 repair shops and feedback was it was not his fault. He heavily relied on this information and turned around and dismissed all responsibility, claiming it was already damaged. He offered a small amount of monetary damages, but when he returned the guitar to my home his tone changed and was very rude. And went back on his word about paying for damages. He got in a shouting match outside of my home with me. My neighbors and family witnessed it. Zeev didnt handle this very well. Zeev comes across as a happy and professional in the beginning, claiming his company has no drama. But its not true. He doesnt handle conflict very well and that must be the way he handles no drama. I told him he'd be getting a bad review, and he had his chance to turn this all around to resolve where the customer would be happy to do business with again. But unfortunately due to those events I will never go back to his services. I paid over $3900 for this service (2 days), tipped his crew both days and I provided lunch and dinner.

I would love to give Home Run Movers 5 stars because they are very nice but I can only give them 1…read morestar. The first star I deduct is due to their low ball estimate of the time and expense of the move. It ended up taking twice as long and costing twice as much as was estimated. That is $1,000 more than estimated. I did move from a 3rd floor apartment to a 2nd floor condo with several glass tables and mirrors but they knew that when they estimated it could be done in 4-5 hours with 3 movers. It took 9 hours. The second star deduction is that they worked as if they were being paid by the day and not by the hour. They were not slow but they were not fast. I have seen movers who really moved with urgency. Fast movers move quickly on the stairs when they are not carrying boxes. These folks were not fast movers. If they were paying $210 per hour I think they would move faster. They lost another star because I paid for 3 movers and got 2 experienced movers and an 18 year old cousin who had never moved anything. He stood around in the beginning waiting to be told what to do. He also showed no initiative regarding doing what he could be doing. There were times he was checking his phone and taking significant rest breaks. I argued I should pay less because I only had 2 and a half movers but my argument was ignored. They finally lost the fourth star because when I went back to the apartment I found that they had forgotten a 2.5 x 4 foot framed print in the bathroom and also left some of their garbage from wrapping items. There are positive things to say. They were very careful. They called in advance and arrived early. They worked to reassemble tricky furniture. They were also very friendly.

I would like to give my highest compliments to A Calvary Movers. I have had my share of moving companies, but they certainly top the list. Nacho and his crew were absolutely amazing. They were punctual, efficient, professional and always went the extra mile to make sure my things were packed and moved perfectly. They are highly skilled in what they do. They were able to pack my entire 2 bedroom condo in a matter of minutes! I had to move to another state for work and they even made it there earlier than what they had anticipated! They even transported my car in their covered trailer. My car came back in pristine condition! They also were so quick in unpacking and re-assembling my bed and furniture. They always were cognizant in keeping things clean and safe. Nacho places covers on our new carpet to keep things clean. Nacho is the most honest, kind and professional mover I have ever met. I can't say enough about how great A Calvary Moving is!! My parents were relocating from Sahuarita, Arizona, to New Hampshire and I was making the arrangements from out of state. When I spoke with Nacho on the phone I took an immediate liking to him. I told him what we needed (loading an ABF trailer that was going to haul of of my parent's belongings across the country). He was pleasant, informative, and professional. Nacho drove out to my parent's house to give them an estimate. (My parents had previously met with 2 other companies and just didn't click with them like they did with Nacho.) A Calvary was an easy choice for the job. My parents had so much stuff and Nacho, Josiah, and Eric hustled from the time they got there until the time they left. They loaded the trailer with all of the boxes, they wrapped the furniture with care, and helped pack some items that were weirdly shaped. The guys were super nice, efficient, and helpful. ***Please read*** You can stop looking further for your moving needs! Nacho and family add the extra touch I truly appreciated them! I am a disabled woman with a #SleepNumberBed and other belongings that needed special care due to their values like #Antiquesmoved across town. Nacho and Erik V. did not give up when faced with a very tight turn, actually several turns inside the house! I honestly don't think another company would have gone the extra mile for me ESPECIALLY WHEN IT WAS LAST MINUTE! All three gentleman actually felt so familiar that I wanted to have them back for tacos on Sunday but didn't know how to ask! Now his beautiful sister Marie Is more like my sister! I have moved over thirty times over my adult life. As such I'm somewhat of an expert when it comes to hiring movers. I originally selected A Calvary Moving & Storage in the blind as my previous mover was booked. I saw that they had excellent reviews, so I gave a call. The first interaction was stellar. The receptionist was friendly and very knowledgeable. My move date was available, so I booked. My team of three guys showed up on the dot at 7:00 am. They were courteous, friendly, and energetic. I have allot of stuff, so this was allot of work. They worked quickly and efficiently. They had me loaded in about two and a half hours. I can't say enough about these guys. They showed great care with my furnishings and were extremely accommodating. I highly reccomend this company. You don't allows get what you're promised. I did this time and more. read more

A Calvary Moving did a wonderful job moving us into our new house. My husband and I have had to move a lot over the last 20 years, and our recent move with A Calvary was by far the best experience. Nacho and Randy were extremely courteous and ensured the right boxes went into the right rooms. They were more than happy to adjust furniture positions and went above and beyond by helping us move heavy boxes of leftover tiles left in the garage so we wouldn't have to move them ourselves. They made sure we were happy with the location of furniture and boxes before they left, and nothing was broken! They also helped us pack up our kitchen and they did a tremendous job. Highly recommend Calvary! Nacho and his team show hard work and integrity with what they do. I really appreciated how upfront Nacho was with his pricing and what they would do for the process. He answered all my questions and was patient with us. I also appreciate that the pricing was exactly as stated with no hidden fees. These guys came in and moved quickly but treated our stuff with care. Didn't even have to worry throughout this move! Not to mention the guys are very friendly. After receiving an offer for a great job, we need to move from Arizona to Georgia very quickly. I requested a quote on Yelp and received a call back the same day. Nacho came a gave me a quote a couple days later that was cheaper than anyone else. I was only able to give them a weeks notice before we had to go, but that didn't stop them. They came and loaded our entire house on a Saturday and Sunday and was ready to go. Nacho and his grandsons were absolutely amazing! Very polite and meticulous and very hardworking. All of our belongings ended up getting where they needed to go ahead of schedule. We can't say enough about how amazing this company is, but I highly recommend them to anyone needing a moving company. read more

GREAT Experience with Nacho and Eric who did the moving and also very pleasant experience with Maria in the office. Received a call from the company the night before to confirm everything. They showed up as expected and right on time. They put down runners on the floors, and moving blankets on entry doors to avian any dings. They treated our new home very well. The PODS they unloaded in 2.5 hours would have taken my wife and I 2.5 days and we would have spent another 2.5 days recovering from the lifting. Moving? These are the guys to use. Quick, efficient, professional, and arrived early. They wrapped my soft suede sofa, no dirt no fuss, they actually pad or wrap everything. They come fully equipped to handle any moving needs. My antique furniture was handled with care. My husband's garage full of who knows what, was quickly packed and on it's way, which I would never have believed. Nacho and his crew did two walk-throughs to make sure everything was taken care of. great movers, moved locally, they had the house loaded and furniture as well had us moved and unloaded and furniture set up in a little over 3 hours with 3 guys (travel time was only about 20 minutes). Everything made it without a scratch or problem. they had a side load truck so they didn need to block the road, nice feature. The movers were pleasant, helpful and did a great job. would recommend them for any of your moves. Previous movers took 3.5 hours to load and 3 hours to unload with 3 guys. They did both on the same amount of household items as the previous movers in half the time. Give them a call, definitely worth it. read more

A Calvary Moving did an excellent job moving our belongings to our new home. Nacho and his colleague were professional and great to work with throughout the moving process. They arrived punctually, evaluated the job, and with care and efficiency completed a difficult move from second story condo. This was a very professional transaction. from the moment of our first contact w/maria in the office, they were very very friendly and efficient. they promptly returned our call and came over to give us the estimate to move us. Nacho and his crew were great. He was easy to work with and provided a reasonable and straight forward quote up front. I got quotes from 5 different companies and his was the lowest. They showed up on time and were careful with our furniture. He quoted me 8 hours, but the crew got the job done in less than 6. Instead of slowing down to get extra money, they worked hard and charged me $250 less than quoted. I was very impressed and happy with the results. Nacho and his team did a fantastic job with my move. Due to an odd positioning of the door to my apartment, it is not possible to bring my sofa in through that door. So I went into this move stressed over the need to bring it through the patio/balcony door. This was complicated by the fact that my new apartment is on the 3rd floor.
