Do not use--dishonest alterations lady. Had 4 pants shortened. 2 were fine, the other 2 were not the correct length (too long), even though she pinned them. Brought them back to fix, and she refused and tried to charge me more for her mistake. I think she measured the 4 to the same length, even though 2 of them were a different brand and cut. Blamed me for the error. They tried to charge me again by saying, "This is the store policy"! I will never use them again, and you should not either unless you like paying for alterations repeatedly! I went to get a formal top altered. I said that I can't fit into it, but just need to let out 2 inches on both sides (there was extra material that would allow this). Lady: "Please try it on". Me: "I can't. Can you please just let out 2 inches on both sides?". Lady: "OK ... please try it on" Me: "I don't know what to tell you other than ... I can't" Lady: "OK -- lets see if you can try this on." Me: "I ... can't ... " Finally, she gave up and barely measured how much she can take out. I wasn't expecting anything to be exact which is why I was asking to just let out 2 inches on both sides. She went to the computer and started to take my info down and then tells me "$28". Now, I have had MANY things altered before and I know that the job was NOT $28 especially with little to no effort in working with me. I guess from my facial expression, she said "if you don't want to, i don't mind." I just left ... I took the top to get altered in the city near my job. Long story short, I told the lady it doesn't fit and I can't try it on for her. She asked what my bra size is, measured me, examined the top and fixed it on the spot. The service was very worst in this place. Shirts and pants were never cleaned and they simply press them without cleaning, most of the time didn't realize until wear them. The response was very rude when I reached out them and it happened multiple times. Also I have given my suit pant for an alteration, the tailor (Veronica) who seem does not have any knowledge of tailoring and ruin my pant totally. I have been using them for over a year now. Initially reasonable, the standards have dropped to something terrible. Shirts are returned with stains they never had, badly ironed and the service is not pleasant. When I was last there another gentleman complained his shirt had been dirtied. My review is for the alteration. I took my daughter's dress to be altered. The Korean lady who spoke limited English was quite good at measuring my daughter. We need the shoulder tightened up. I didn't know I need to pay first, but since its my first trip there, she was nice enough to say that I can pay when I pick up the dress. We went in on a Wednesday, and the receipt says it will be ready on Saturday. I went in on Saturday, and was told that the dress is not ready. She thought I didn't need the dress until the following Sunday, and so she didn't do the dress yet. THEN MAKE SURE THE RECEIPT DIDN'T SAY SATURDAY! I did not like the attitude at all. Terrible service recently (shirts are returned with black stains)and even more horrible customer service. Stay away from this place. We had been going to them for over last 2 years but in the last six months our shirts were being returned with black stains. I had read previous Yelp reviews about stains but never personally had a problem until last 6 months. The first few times, I noticed the stains on the shirts right away and they fixed it after I continued to stand my ground that those stains didn't exist before. But now just because I hastily removed their tags from my shirts after they were returned back with stains, the owners refuse to accept their mistake. A Cleaner City Dry cleaner on Livingston Ave by CVS absolutely RUINED my pants and discolored them, and when I asked them for reparations or at least even the fee for the cleaning back, they yelled at me and literally told me to "shoo." The owner threw my pants at me and told me that I should call J Crew because the pants must be defective. They were so rude and I would recommend any other company over this one. My godmother came to this dry cleaner to get a gown altered for a class reunion. She needed the top taken in because it was too large. She was fitted in the dress, and left it to be altered. She came back to try the dress on after the alterations were made, and realized after putting it on that it was too small. She couldn't even lift her arms up. She told the woman that worked there that it was not altered properly. The seamstress had cut so much material off that the dress could not even be taken somewhere else to be fixed. The seamstress proceeded to grab my godmother by the shoulders and SHAKE HER, while yelling "You take this dress off because it belongs to me! You can't leave without paying!" My godmother never said she wouldn't pay. She just wanted her to know the alterations were not done properly, and it didn't fit. My godmother called the police and waited until they came. The woman completely changed her tune, and was polite when the police showed up. She told the police my godmother tried to leave without paying for the services to which my godmother responded that she was the one that called the police because she was assaulted and did not try to leave. The police asked for the manager, and the seamstress said there was no manager, he was in Korea. The police officer instructed my godmother to take this case to court which she is doing. The blatant disrespect this woman showed for a customer blows my mind. Especially since she did not provide professional service. Please do not waste you time or money by coming here! read more

Got them back - pressed, but stains there. Pointed them out - they said no problem, will fix. Got them back - same spots, same condition. I have been coming since they opened and still enjoy picking up my clean, pressed clothes for a cheap/reasonable price. Can't speak to the alteration department, because I use a tailor for that! However, the only issue I had about a year ago was with a duvet cover that was still damp when I picked it up. I kindly spoke to the woman and she responded in kind by re-cleaning it by the end of the same day, at no charge. In Livingston, people tend to speak to customer service representatives as if they are entitled royalty, believe me, I see it every day. Been going here since they first opened a little over a year ago and have not had a problem. Their prices are the lowest in the area and their turn over rate is usually 1-2 days, depending on how fast i need them. There is no odor, and whenever I get a stain on my clothes I drop it off asap and thus far, haven't had a problem with them removing the stain. I get all my suits altered here and my wife has gotten a few dresses hemmed. They're efficient and cheap! What more can you ask for? Stay far away from this place!!! i wish i had read their reviews before i gave them shirts to alter. they were to bring the sleeves up by 2 inches and somehow they decided to do this from the shoulders and ended up placing the right sleeve on the left side and vice versa. regardless now all 7 shirts are ruined. even worse is that they are now forcing me to take this matter to small claims court which shows no accountability on their part. mistakes happen but declining phone calls and avoiding fixing this is clear negligence. read more

A true lesson in "you get what you pay for". This place is terrible. They completely ruined a dress of mine that was beige by dying it black. When I Complained the woman at the front desk claimed she could. Lean it again and it would come out, but that was impossible. I asked for a refund and she pretended to not know what that word meant. I wouldn't suggest even trying their services, they do average job cleaning and if you ask for spot removal, be ready for a damaged garment. They put an even bigger spot by removing small one on my $150 pants, agreed to clean again and returned in same condition claiming they can't remember what was the original request. Very unprofessional and simply rude. Alteration is even worst, don't go for $8, i did 4 times pants cut and 4 times wrong length was measured. The lady that is doing is rude and rolling her eyes. NEVER AGAIN. Busy professionals with corporate attire need reliable and cost effective garment care. I tried with a few front button blouses. While they can be laundered at home, I like the professional pressed look. When I arrived to pick my garments up, there was a line of complaining customers ahead of me. ALL complaining of a foul odor on their "cleaned" clothing. You could actually smell the odor as you walked into the store that day. When my garments were brought to me, I lifted the covering and inspected them. Yes, my garments also had this puke-like odor. It was string and oppressive and permeated all my blouses. The Owner said he would re-do them and "try" to get the smell out. I returned the next day and my garments still had the smell, while it was not as strong, there was no mistaking the odor. Luckily for me I was sable to launder these items at home which removed the stench. I suppose you get what you pay for. If you care about your clothes, DON'T bring them here. I would give these people a zero if it were possible. Took a blouse in to be cleaned. The goal was to remove a small grease spot on front of the blouse. When picked up not only was the spot still there I found new blue streaks on the front of the blouse as well as the cuffs & back of the blouse. The clerk said they will try again on the spot and that since the blue was an over abundance of cleaning fluid that will come out & the blouse will be as good as new. Wrong!!! The spot is gone but the blue stains remain. Needless to say, the blouse is ruined and not wearable. A man who I assume is the owner & pretends not to speak or understand English, after seeing the damage started actively motioning with his arms and repeating the word NO NO NO. He refused to take responsibility for the damage or to reimburse me for the cleaning/damage. My advice do yourself a big favor and stay as far away from them as possible.
