A cleaner world is my local go to for dry cleaners and I want to tell you why. I got married outside, in the rain. My wedding dress was, what I thought ruined. I dropped it off, hoping for the best & when I picked it up it looked almost brand new. I was so pleased. Several months later (thanks to COVID) we had our reception (also outside) & I wore another dress that I was for sure ruined by the time the night was over. Spray tan, dirt, stains, cake, needless to say we had the best night but my poor dress looked like it too! I dropped it off after 6 months of hanging in the closet in the hopes of being able to salvage something from it & I picked it up yesterday and it looks just like the day I bought it. ALL OF THE STAINS were gone. I was left totally speechless, I knew the hem was a lost cause from all of the grass stains and dirt, but NOPE pefrect. Is it expensive to have this taken care of? YES. We spent 5 hours on my daughter's wedding day hand steaming her dress that I'd paid A Cleaner World $138 to do. They steamed it with the dress BUSTLED. Who on earth does that??? They steamed all the folds from the bustle into the dress. It looked terrible, and even after all that time, we couldn't get it all out. So disgusted. Disputing charge. read more

I have to give these guys 1 star just to warn you. I brought in 8 pair of pants last week to be altered to a 28" inseam. Today I pick up my order to find that they did a 26" inseam. Cost for alterations on 8 pair of pants and dry clean &171.88, lost money on pants over $275. I told them I wanted a refund for my charge, he said he did it and it has not shown. I took back the other 4 pair of pants and 2 jackets that I was going to have done. The worst part about it is the manager said he asked the guy who took the order are you sure it's 26" and he said yes. But if your not sure, why not call the customer to verify. Then he in so many words called me a liar about the inseam size and asked me if I've ever made a mistake. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! What a horrible experience... I just checked with my bank and they do not see any credits pending for my charge.... read more

Not only is the dry cleaning the best in the area (and I've tried many), but the service is second to none. Just yesterday I picked up my dry cleaning. Attached to a hanger with a perfectly ironed pair of pants was an envelope. Inside was cash that I had inadvertently left in the pocket of these pants. If that doesn't speak volumes for the quality of personnel there and the attitude there, then I don't know what does. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

I went into A Cleaner World this morning to take my cleaning. I witnessed a horrible exchange between staff members - a male staff member SCREAMED at the girl at the counter for no reason at all. I thought he was going to hit her, instead he slammed something down and made a terrible racket. I was really scared he was going to hit her. The girl looked at him and said "I'm done." and left. Good for her. I wouldn't work there either. If this is how staff is going to be allowed to act, imagine how our clothes are going to be handled. Three men's shirts and a lady's unlined linen suit jacket came back only partially ironed. The side seams of the shirts and the sleeves were unpressed and half of the front of the jacket was unpressed. A note accompanied the jacket that they couldn't get the stain out - it was cocoa powder and I have now used "Shout Out" and it is gone. Very sloppy work. I dropped off wet sheets and towels to be laundered due to a broken washer. The clothes smelled like bleach when I picked them up 24 hours later. I also found them expensive. I contacted the Manger after I wrote the above review. I found my towels that had been washed two to three times previously were faded and dried out to the point of being very coarse. The Manager asked me to bring the towels in. I brought the towels they washed and some of the same towels I bought at the same time to show the difference. The owner Chris refunded me for new towels. Everyone was professional and courteous throughout my dealings with A Cleaner World. I will definitely use them again. read more

I am so disappointed in this cleaners. My jacket came out just like it went in. It didn't even smell like it was cleaned at all, no spot removal done, and it had lint all over it. REALLY what a waste of 6.00. I will be looking for a new one. read more

Worst dry cleaners ever. Took a sweater in for cleaning 3 weeks ago for a trip in a colder climate coming this weekend. Went to pick up sweater last Saturday. After waiting in drive through for about 8 minutes the come out and tell me they could not locate the sweater but was sure it was there and manager is locating and will call me as soon as they find. Fast forward to Tuesday, 3 days later, after no one called me... I called them and spoke to manager. He apologized that no one had contacted me and said it was his fault and he would commit the rest of the day to finding the sweater and contact me ... He said all this after giving me a sob story about how many items they handle a day and how busy weekends are (as if as the customer I should care). Now fast forward to today, Thursday, another 2 days later and a total of 6 days since I originally picked up the sweater and leaving for trip on Saturday morning ... I have not heard from them. I guess I will be calling them tomorrow to get paid for my $150 Moschino sweater so I can try to find something else to take. The lack of customer service and professionalism here is appalling. I purchased a used dress which had some stains on it. Most were small and not really noticeable especially with the pattern and colors on the dress; however, I did take the time to pin each spot before taking it to the cleaners. The main spot was on the left breast area. I took the dress to A Cleaner World in Boone and showed the person at the desk each spot. He wrote up the ticket noting the stains and especially the one on the left breast area. When I picked the dress up I was told there was not a ticket on it indicating the stains could not be removed so, "They must have been able to get them out." Great!! When I got the dress home not ONE of the stains were gone. OK... maybe they couldn't be removed. But, the dress did not look or SMELL like it had been dry cleaned. As a matter of fact, it was wrinkled and smelled of dirty clothes! Then, I took a damp wash cloth with nothing but TAP WATER and slightly rubbed the stains... including the main one! ALL the stains came out with the tiniest bit of light rubbing!! For this, I paid over $13.00!! I don't think it was even cleaned at all. I think they just pinned a tag on it. Why else would I have been able to remove the stains with a damp cloth? Why was it so wrinkled and smelly? I plan to return the dress and speak to the manager. But, I really think something very dishonest happened. NEVER AGAIN! read more
