The owner is nice and they do good work but the staff is very rude and unfriendly. Simple, polite questions are met with unnecessary hostility and scowls. The woman with the blue eyes who works at the front desk, in particular, is always rude, and as a result, they have lost my business. I rarely go for alterations. However, I was in town and needed my yoga pants hemmed. They were incredibly nice, did a good job, and assured me they would be done the day before I fly out back out of town. Found this dry cleaner via yelp and was pleased with the service and the prices. Dropped off 3 jackets to be cleaned and paid under $10 a jacket. I was told 3-4 days which was fine as I wasn't in a rush. I on the 4th day I didn't get a call so I dropped by on the 5th day. They had been ready so not sure why they didn't call. I dropped of a dress to be steamed and when I went to pick it up, the lady who waited on me was very rude and unprofessional. I asked her why was my dress 27.00 just to steam. She said something about the beading around the waist and your dress is the size of two people. I said what and she just kept ringing it up and and I about the discount from my job and she said it was deducted. So ,,if you are plus size don't take your clothes there because you will be charged extra because of your size. read more

The alterations department at QAAW is amazing, so I hate for this review to reflect poorly on them; however, I am bummed by both the speed of dry cleaning and customer services. I have my husband's shirts dry cleaned and starched there, and despite most dry cleaners' quick turnaround (usually having items ready the next business day by 5), this business hasn't ever been able to get items back to me sooner than 3 business days later, and if then, it was because of my specific request. They usually offer to have them back 5 business days later, which always seemed like a long time for a basic cleaning and starching of men's dress shirts - pretty standard service. That in itself isn't really that big an issue, but the customer service I received today was very disappointing. The woman with whom I interacted today was curt and rude throughout our transaction, and when I asked the her if it would be possible to hang my husband's shirts on the passenger side of my car (instead of the driver's side backseat since my 9 month old was in a car seat behind me), she very dramatically rolled her eyes at me before doing so. While for lots of people this might not seem like anything worth commenting on, I was very put off my this woman's attitude. I was willing to hang in there with the slow service, but slow service combined with the rudeness I experienced today means I'll be taking my business across town in the future, despite the fact that Quick as a Wink is less than a mile from my home. read more

I have used many of the cleaners around town over the more than 25 years I have been in asheville, and these are the best in garment care and customer service. No matter how long in between my visits the staff always remembers me and immediately has my preferences and account pulled up and ready. My husband brought two pair of pants to hem. After just two months, both hems have unraveled. He brought them back to complain and they said this was "out of their time period" and wouldn't fix them. I will not recommend these people for alterations. Shame on them. read more

Grudgingly friendly, totally recalcitrant. Utterly the culture of no. The first time I used them I said that my clothes were Lululemon and just need to be partially dried and hung on a hanger. They want to charge me extra to hang them on a hanger OK but they don't want to dry them partially....um ok. They close at 6pm I got there at 12:30 so I had to have my clothes picked up the next day. I work six day weeks. No simpatico for that either. The second week I washed my clothes myself. Not too bad. This is my third week I brought my clothes in again. I made the same request please wash and partially dry my Lululemon clothes. And the girl says "oh here we go again "...really?!? Without too many words she says no no never And then gives me a look 'like take it or leave it'. After spending about $40 on about 3 pounds of clothes I will have to take them back to my hotel and partially dry them and hang them in my closet. It's a little confusing because it's a pretty big plant here, they just don't want to do anything that veers from ' wash and fold'. If there's ANY OTHER WAY for you to get your clothes clean don't come here. Friendly customer service is not what you're going to get unless you get in lockstep with these folks. I recently came here for some dry cleaning and a small alteration (needed some pants hemmed). Not the cheapest cleaners I've ever been to, but I got a work discount, and they're convenient to my job. This place is walking distance from my home, so I go here. They are friendly and nice and remember you, which i love. I use them mostly for hemming clothing. Drawbacks, take usually 5 days to get your stuff back. And prices, prices on the high side - to hem a blazer (sleeves no buttons and bottom hem of blazer) was almost $80. I should have asked, I was taken aback as I didn't realize it would be so much. Even the owner, saw my shock and was like "oh cause it's a blazer, harder to do". I guess. Usually it's between 12-18$ for a "basic" pants hemming. I expected to pay much more for the blazer, but not almost $80. Cried inside. read more

Great service. Very friendly. I brought a suit, shirt & two ties in to be cleaned. The staff was helpful, very courteous. The work was done ontime and ready for pickup. The price was fair. Suit pants properly pressed and the jacket button even had a plastic dongle added to save the cloth threads on the button. Ties were pressed also and hung separately. Dropped off a throw to be dry cleaned, was about $18. Had it back in a few days no rush. Looked great! Dropped off a coat to have it dry cleaned and have 2 pockets repaired that was $24. I went here to get a my wedding dress hemmed and dry cleaned. First, the pick up date they gave me was 12 days after I dropped it off. My wedding was 14 days later, so if something went wrong I would have been stuck. When I picked it up the total came out to over $110. When I asked why they said that dry cleaning a wedding dress was $85. I see a problem with this because they never gave me an estimate on the price, there is no signs telling how much prices would be. My wedding dress was more like a white evening gown, not a huge, poofy, toile laiden monstrosity. It just surprised me that they charged so much. I think a little warning would have been fair. They did a nice job on the cleaning. The hem was pretty okay. I would recommend asking their prices before hand so you don't get surprised like I did. read more
