I needed to send flowers for a viewing the next day, for my daughter and I. The person who passed loved purple so I picked a purple bouquet from the website. I could have ordered online but with flowers, I'd rather talk to someone. The person who answered the phone said they didn't have that many purple flowers and then thought to call their other store. The answer was yes, purple flowers could be had. I ordered and paid. Very good service and very pleasant interaction, but also going the extra mile to get me what I wanted. I went to the viewing tonight and the bouquet in a ginger jar was gorgeous, fresh, and many shades of purple, including some unusual long lasting flowers and a beautiful variety of mum, plus pretty white accent flowers with purple throats. I was impressed (I come from a florist industry background). Much nicer than the other flowers that were there. Sometimes funeral flowers are not the best quality. These absolutely were; they understood what I wanted and really produced something exceptional. Definitely recommend! I'd provide photos but that would have been inappropriate. read more

I ordered flowers for my Aunt in MA., and wanted to use a local florist. Am I ever happy I chose A Cut Above Florist!! This was the first time I used A Cut Above Florist but it most certainly will not be my last! The bouquet was delivered on time and it was absolutely beautiful - my Aunt LOVED them! I purchased the "bouquet of the day" and it was a huge arrangement of all sorts of fresh, beautiful, spring flowers with lots of baby's breath and fern. I got married two months ago and am finally getting the time to write a review. Even though time has gone by and my wedding was amazing I still feel it necessary to take about me experience. Overall I was very disappointed with what was delivered to me the morning of my wedding. Problem #1: communication was so poor. I would call and email with no response. I had to track them down to pay them, and as a bride you have too much on your plate to do so. When I finally got in touch for my payment I was told pretty much hat it was cutting it close and they needed my money ASAP in order to order the stems. Problem #2: I got a call the day before my wedding to finalize drop off and such. I was told my bridesmaid bouquets were not exactly what I asked for but "better". Not being a professional florist I put my trust in them. Fast forward to the morning of, bridesmaid bouquets had PEACH roses in them and my mother of bride and groom bouquets had a single calla lily with FERNS ON FERNS ON FERNS. They were the ugliest things I've ever seen. During consultation I specifically requested bridesmaid bouquets just be simple white hydrangeas and that's it but absolutely NO roses and just wanted a single calla lily for the mothers to carry not with extra greenery. I sat there and say her highlight and star my "no requests". Problem #3: when they arrived the morning of my wedding my maid of honor called to complain and the florist was not there and never returned her call. My girls had to spend the morning trying to fix what I didn't like. They pretty much had to take apart the mothers bouquets. Overall it was a terrible experience and very very poor costumer service. I had a great experience at A Cut Above Florist in Chicopee!! The staff was very helpful and listened to what I wanted. They worked with me to decide what would work well in an floral arrangement for a church service for a person very dear to me. They stayed within my budget, used the flowers and colors I wanted, and the outcome was amazing!! This is the third time I have used this florist in the last few months and I will continue to shop here because of their great customer service and their beautiful, fresh arrangements. Stood up for a wedding and after the the original consultation the bride told them she did not want roses in the bouquets or extra greens. Guess what the bouquets were... roses mixed with ferns. At the finish of bouquets, the florist told our bride "it's not what you asked for but I think it's better" ... not sure what kind of customer service that is. When the flowers arrived, The bride in dismay called the florist and NEVER got a call back (it's now been two months) and nothing. The bridal party spent our "getting ready time" being amateur florists trying to make them acceptable for what the bride wanted. In the end there was really nothing to be done but it is just bad business not to return a call to a customer. read more

My son and daughter-in-law sent me a birthday floral arrangement from A Cut Above. When I took it out of the wrappings, I was disappointed to find that petals immediately began falling, and most of the flowers looked dry and/or drooping. I contacted the florist, and the response was quick and truly exceptional. I received a telephone call from the florist with a promise to send another bouquet. The next day, I received a brand new arrangement that was bigger and extremely beautiful, along with another apology and a thank you for allowing them to make things right. I would definitely buy from them again. Their customer service is stellar, and I realized that the problem with the original floral arrangement was a rare departure from their normally very high quality product. read more
