Disappointing initial experience. My girlfriend and I got flowers from this place based on prior reviews. Although a little pricey, we were willing to pay more for extra flowers and had good communication with the florist. Inspite of frequently communicating with them, when the arrangement arrived, it was very mediocre and totally not worth the price of 140$ and felt that that we could've gotten that at any regular store for much lesser. Called Flowers by Webster to send an arrangement to a member of my family for their birthday. Juli answered the phone and I explained that I needed them delivered that same day because they weren't open the next day which was Sunday. I was expecting to hear that it couldn't happen but nope, Juli took down the information and told me it was going to be no problem! Needless to say I was thrilled. Now it's the weekend after Christmas and who has the extra money to send a nice big arrangement? After listening to what I would get on a few different price ranges, she heard the disappointment in my voice that I really couldn't afford what I truly wanted to get. She told me to not worry about anything. That whatever I paid, she would boost it up for me with a few more flowers to make it look nice and full. I wanted to cry! It's so nice when someone who doesn't know you can make you feel like your needs are important to them. I called Webster to order some flowers for a friend who recently suffered a loss of a loved one. I spoke to a nice woman whose name, I think, was Joyce. I explained to Joyce what I wanted: A dozen white roses in a cobalt blue vase, no greens, no baby's breath. I explained it should be simple, classy, and elegant. Joyce listened and convinced me that maybe some baby's breath would be ok. She then told me that there were no white roses in stock, and asked if I could wait til tomorrow to send it. I agreed. I think the total bill was just under $100, including delivery. After sleeping on it, I called back the next day to check on the order, and to change my mind on the baby's breath. I spoke to the owner, Gail. Gail listened, and I reiterated the order. White roses, blue vase, no greens, no baby's breath. Simple, classy, elegant. Gail asked if I wanted a "round mound" of flowers, and I said no, they should be standing in a vase. The flowers were delivered, and my friend sent me a picture of the flowers. She said I was thoughtful, but didn't say she liked the flowers. I was concerned because people don't usually send me pictures of the flowers I send. When I saw the picture, I understood. She didn't have the heart to tell me that the flowers were not simple, classy, or elegant. One of my friends actually called them "ghetto roses." The roses don't even fit in the vase, and I was later told "that's the only blue vase we have." I called and spoke to the owner explaining the situation, and she told me I got what I asked for. Because I did not request a "round mound" I got what I got and that's that. Gail did offer to go get the flowers and "rearrange them," but as my friend is grieving, I wasn't going to do that. Gail even agreed that was not a great idea. Gail also mentioned to me that she did not make the profit on these flowers that she was expecting because she had to special order the white roses for me. In essence, she implied she did me a favor by stocking her inventory, which is surprising, being that this is a flower shop. I asked for a refund, and that was out of the question. The quality of the flowers was good. That's not the issue. I'm disappointed in the arrangement and how it is not what I requested. I am also disappointed with the customer service I received, or rather, didn't receive. I would not recommend Flowers By Webster, nor would I use their services again. read more

These flowers were purchased through telaflora. I received 9 sorry roses - not even a dozen - and a bunch of baby's breath in an oversized vase. The arrangement looked beyond stingy and clinically depressed. 18 roses were purchased with other plants, NO baby's breath. I did not get what was purchased for me; not even remotely close. Looks like years later this shop is maintaining its legacy of sad florals based on other reviews. Stay away from this shop and consider yourself warned. A complaint was made with telaflora for a refund as well, as he was drastically overcharged for this totally underwhelming delivery. This place is a total rip off. I ordered flowers for my daughter's birthday. It was the first birthday that she wouldn't be with her family. I ordered the flowers online and asked that they be delivered to Westfield State University. Unbeknownst to me, apparently they cannot deliver to the college on the wk end. They called my daughter and told her she could pick them up on Monday or meet them at the entrance. My daughter agreed to meet them. The cell phone service is intermittent at the college so when they called to tell her they were there, she missed the call. Exactly 3 minutes later she saw the message and called them. She was treated very rudely and disrespectfully and they said they waited too long and they couldn't wait all day. So they left. I called to try to get them to redeliver and I was also treated badly. The woman on the phone was not nice at all. I don't think their customer service (well at least the woman on the phone) is up to par. I find it awful that my daughter was treated so poorly- especially on her birthday. I will not be ordering from them again. With that being said, the flowers were pretty and the delivery man was very sweet. read more

When needing a last minute funeral floral arrangement, I called Flowers by Webster based on proximity to the Funeral Home. Lisa answered the phone and after checking assured me that they could put together an arrangement and get the flower to the visitation asap. Lisa was very nice and professional on the phone and even helped me figure out what to write on the card. I asked if I could get a receipt and had one with in 15 mins of placing the order along with a picture of the hand written card. The price was very reasonable, especially with the rush order. What a gross misrepresentation of the flowers I received to what was shown on line. 4 tiny white roses and the rest lilies and carnations. I requested a Beach floral arrangement for a funeral that I was attending. The bouquet was filled with seagulls, starfish shell, a boat with blue hydrangeas and white roses, truly reflecting a nautical theme. The family members were really astounded by the beauty and how touching it was to embrace one of their Dad's favorite places, Cape Cod. I went into Websters at 8am as I forgot to order flowers for a wake that same day. I was in a panic but the sales person, I wish I remembered her name, was so helpful. She grabbed a book and we found an arrangement that I liked and she promised it would be there that day prior to the start of the wake. When I arrived the arangement was there and it was beautful.
