He laughed and said it was impossible for the units to smell because that only happens after years of misuse. He ran both the units on each setting and at different speeds. Agreed that the units had a bad smell and said this was normal. He sprayed cleaner on the coils and would not check the lines to see why they were not working. Explained a slug probably crawled inside and he didn't need to check. The same evening, the smell came back. The next day both units smelled like rotten fish and filled with water again.
