Chef Randi, Chef Tom and their team were a pleasure to work with when we were planning our annual "fancy" dinner at the beach. Chef Randi worked with us to customize a menu that worked for the 14 adults (some "picky eaters" and non-seafood fans) and the 6 children in our group. The kids were delighted with homemade chicken tenders (with homemade ranch and ketchup), mac-n-cheese, veggies and dessert including ice cream sundaes in rice crispy treat bowls. The adults enjoyed three appetizers: Fried Green Tomatoes, Popcorn and Bacon coated shrimp and Seared Scallops over homemade spatzel. All were delicious and we had leftovers for appetizers the next day. After appetizers, we enjoyed a beautiful salad with proscuitto-wrapped asparagus, served by Randi and Tom's delightful staff. Randi offered us a selection of roast tenderloin stuffed with tri-color peppers and gruyere cheese or grouper in a buerre blanc sauce. Both were delicious. For dessert, Tom and Randi prepared Chocolate Souffle with Creme Anglais. It was the best I have ever had. They also brought a peach bread pudding dessert for us to enjoy later in the week (our group couldn't decide which dessert we would prefer, so we ordered 2). It was also wonderful. All of our group enjoyed the meal and the experience. Tom, Randi and their staff were extremely professional handling all details of preparing the meal, serving the dinner and cleaning-up. If you have a large group like we do, you understand the challenges of dining out when you are on vacation. (Typical Restaurant Response: You have a group of 20? We can take you at either 4:30 or 8:30, which would you prefer?). Years of experience has taught us that it is much better to have dinner prepared in our vacation home by a professional chef. The cost is similar when you consider that you don't have to pay restaurant prices for the wine/drinks with dinner. A Difference in Dining's price was very fair considering both the quality of the meals and the quantity provided (and the fact that we were so excited by their menu that we ordered an extra dessert for the next night). Could not have been more satisfied with the food and service we received during a recent trip with 32 people. Many selections to choose from and all tasted excellent. It is not easy being consistent for 4 nights in a row but A Difference In Dining did not skip a beat as each meal was just as delicious as the next; fantastic desserts too! We had 32 guys on a golf trip staying in one house. The two women who prepared and served our meals (4 in total) were absolutely OUTSTANDING! The food and the service they provided was excellent.
