Dear Cameraq Solutions Team,…read more I am writing to express my disappointment with the way I was treated during a recent phone call with your store. I was attempting to place an order for a camera and was told it had to be completed through your website. I followed the instructions given by your employee, but the order would not go through. Instead of offering helpful guidance, the young man I spoke with became impatient, used inappropriate language, and spoke to me in a way that was both disrespectful and insulting--implying that I was incapable and suggesting I find someone else to help me. To make matters worse, I later discovered that the issue was not user error at all, but rather a limitation in your system--it appears you cannot bill an order to one state while shipping it to another. That is something your staff should be aware of and able to communicate clearly and professionally. Experiences like this are exactly why customers hesitate to support local, small businesses. Courtesy, patience, and basic respect go a long way, and unfortunately, none of those were demonstrated in this interaction. I hope you take this feedback seriously and ensure better training and customer service in the future. Sincerely,

I originally went in sniffing around for a used camera and boy do they have a selection. In…read moreconversation then about my 40 year old Nikon that had been damaged I discovered they do repair work as well. I came back with my camera and felt good about leaving it with them for an estimate. They were able to source parts quicker than I expected and suggested some other age related maintenance it needed and came back with an estimate which I found more than reasonable. As well as a surprising time frame to complete. 2-3 weeks later as promised I got notice it was done. Went in to pick it up and am feeling emotional because my camera which I purchased new in 1985 is once again beautiful!

Is it petty to hate on a place for what it doesn't sell?…read more But it promises so much. Its location is great for me: in the Clackamas Promenade, where I spend too many hours and too many dollars, between Target and Great Harvest and the Nordstrom Rack. Since I'm already in the neighborhood and flashing the cash, I might as well pop in and get a filter, too, right? Or a soft box. Or a bulb for my flash. Or a replacement remote for my Canon. And I don't have to schlep it all the way out of my way over the river to Pro Photo Supply, 'cause I'm not a pro, man, it's just my hobby. Except, yes I do. Because Kits never seems to have quite the right thing, or the right thing that fits my equipment, and they no longer sell Canon products at all, so they kindly refer me back to Pro Photo Supply. I can probably even get some of what I need right next door at Target. I just keep faking myself out with this place. Alanis M. was undoubtedly thinking about Kits when she wrote: It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife. But maybe more like: ten spoons.

I have been looking into really nice, high end point and shoot cameras for my daughter and then my…read morewife decided she needed one too so I have been looking into 2 of them! I found the new Samsung LT225 with a dual screen for my daughter and the new Lumix (Panasonic) Sz3 for my wife. I called Ritz as it showed they carried the Samsung....They were sooo rude, said no we don't carry them and only had a few Canon's...bla bla bla....OK fine....Fry's carries both so I went there and got both at a discount....all is great! Then, guy at Fry's says the Samsung takes SD card...I say"Are you sure?" he says absolutely so I reluctantly say alright and get SD cards for both. He was wrong....I was right so I goto Ritz to get a MiniSD card. Walk in and ask for one...gal says "No, we don't carry them...only have a few 512k ones" I am like what? You guys need to just go out of business! She was super rude along with the gal on the phone. Shop somewhere else! Heck, Costco gives better service than this place!

I had a wonderful time getting my professional headshot taken by Ben. He is a joy to work with, and…read morean excellent photographer. I am someone who generally does not like having my photo taken because I tend to pose awkwardly (or do strange things with my face and/or arms). Ben knows how to work with people who need help in this area, in a way that is empathetic, respectful, educational, and even fun! One of his greatest talents is that he knows how to recognize and capture your authentic expressions, even in a studio environment. This is evident when you look through his portfolio. When he gives guidance on posing/angles, he walks through the "why" of each step and how even subtle changes affect the final product. He takes the time to understand what you want to portray and what you don't, and the end result is MAGIC. Other details: The studio itself is spacious and well designed. It was easy for me to get to, and not in a super crowded, loud, or busy area. Prices are straightforward and fair - there are no surprises. Another thing that I appreciated, even before the photo session, is that his website is impressive and extremely easy to navigate. Most, if not all of your questions, are likely answered on the website. You can easily book your session directly. Bonus points - he made it himself! If you want a photo of yourself that you actually love, look no further.

He was able to capture pictures that no other photographer could get. Within no time at all I had 3 pictures that blew us away. He made the experience fun and easy.
