I can't stress enough how awesome of an idea this is. I ordered a product and it was exactly what I wanted. Would definitely recommend!

Planned on buying a Fujifilm camera and lens combo from this dealer. Advertised price for the last…read moreweek has been $1799.00, anywhere from $50-100 less than Local shops in Seattle and B&H as well as a camera store south of Portland. Called to check if it was in stock and was told the advertised price was wrong (they discovered it 2 hours prior to me calling) and it would be closer to $1999 or ""maybe" $1950..I wrote on their comment form about the experience and the answer I received was that they "discovered" the price had changed, blamed the tariffs, wouldn't honor the advertised price and even right now (9 hours after initial contact) it is still advertised on their website as $1799. Really does feel like I'm being played for a fool and they're hoping I'll pay anything for it. Too bad; I have bought Cameras, lens, and supplies from them over the years. Won't be doing business here ever again. Local Portland resident, not CA as it says under my name

I originally went in sniffing around for a used camera and boy do they have a selection. I came back with my camera and felt good about leaving it with them for an estimate. They were able to source parts quicker than I expected and suggested some other age related maintenance it needed and came back with an estimate which I found more than reasonable. As well as a surprising time frame to complete. 2-3 weeks later as promised I got notice it was done. Went in to pick it up and am feeling emotional because my camera which I purchased new in 1985 is once again beautiful!

Once upon a long time ago I did some work with Horace. Why now for the review? I don't really know…read more I appreciated our time getting to know one another before the shoot. It was about a half hour of casual conversation to get to know me and help me feel at ease. It worked but that's where it stopped. I was under the impression that he was going to pose me and do 10 or 20 or so shots and call it but no. That isn't what was done. Instead I went through this long tedious session where I was expected to pose myself like I was a professional model or something where he then moved around for angles. It was embarrassing at best and out of about 100 shots, one was usable. ONE. I'm sure his work is good for some things but this wasn't one of those. I cannot recommend this photographer for the type of work that I wanted but it might work for you. I just think he could do better at finding out what can work for you as an individual based on your needs, personality and abilities from the interview process. On that he completely misses the mark.

We had a photo shoot with him which went fine but we spent the first 30 minutes going over his background and ours which just prolonged the photo shoot for no reason. We ordered the very expensive photos from him, which took over a month to receive and when we received them one of the photos was bent (and it just happened to be the largest, most expensive one). When we emailed Horace he explained he had no control over the postal service; however, he did not send them insured or even sandwich the photos between 2 pieces of cardboard. He put them in a larger packing envelope with one piece of cardboard on the back of the photos so the damage seemed inevitable. He never offered to replace the photo, and also f'd up the order for our other photos. It took another month for him to send out the correct replacement ones. His photography skills are average and his customer service skills are dreadful at best. I feel like we could have received the same photos at JC Penney or Sears for 1/4 of the price and not had to deal with his attitude of no gratitude. Take your hard earned money elsewhere! ***In response to the reply from Horace his "sitting fee" was donated by himself to our company and I was the winning bidder and paid dearly for it. The outlandish fees we paid for individual photos were not included in the "sitting fee." As he advises the new prints were made but they were not the original 8x10's that we paid for, and were much smaller. The replacement prints were less expensive on his part, but we just wanted to get what we could since we knew he was not going to work with us. As far as "mistakes happen" that is not an acceptable excuse since he apparently has no clue that USPS does not care if it says "do not bend" (DUHHHH) on the envelope. Someone with any amount of business acumen would send pictures "insured" and would ship them encased in something sturdy, but not Horace. Also the pictures took forever (1 month plus) to be replaced because of some excuse of his, and the originals also took over a month to get to us. As I said before, take your money elsewhere since his reply is feeble at best in addressing the concerns of his customer.
