There are groomers who go through the motions. Sure your dog is kinda clean, but meh. Kind of like going through a gas station car wash and being left with water spots and swirls. From the moment Brandon saw my (part-time maniac) Vizsla puppy, he immediately engaged with her, went right to her, and started playing. He connected in such a genuine way, I'm thinking that it's quite possible that Brandon is part canine. It's that kind of intuition that puts pets in the right state of mind for what can otherwise be a stressful ordeal. When I picked up my pooch, not only was she impeccably and thoroughly groomed (not to mention fresh smelling), she was busy having a play date with Brandon's own dogs. Good thing I had beef jerky in my pocket or she might not have left with me. Brandon really cares about what he does. It's not easy to gain this over protective Vizsla owner's trust. Kirby (a soft-coated Wheaten Terrier) and Scout (a Yorkshire Terrier) look fantastic after spending the afternoon with Brandon at "A Doggie In The Window." Yes yes yes! He takes care of our dog and gives Winnie a great cut at a good price. We can tell he loves animals and takes his time to love on them and groom them. You can also leave your doggie there for hour past the grooming if needed with your work schedule. This is a great place for grooming. Walked in on Brandon while he was grooming my father-in-law's bichon...apparently he didn't hear me. He hit her hard on top of her head before he noticed I was there. I was shocked that he would do that, especially to Midget, who is small and old. I wouldn't trust him with any of my dogs after seeing that. read more

I'm very sad to have to dock A Doggie in the Window. I had such a great experience the first time, I was eager to bring my cat Charlotte back. I called for an appointment about 6 weeks ago. I left a clear and detailed message. No return call. About 2 weeks later, I call again. Same result. From Aleta L.'s review, it doesn't sound like they have stopped doing cats. My cat was so well behaved last time, I know that wasn't it. I left a generous tip, and wrote a 5-star Yelp review, so that can't be it. So, what gives? Answer your messages. read more

We won't take our dogs anywhere else besides "A Doggie in the Window," he does a great job. It should be noted the one minus about "A Doggie in the Window" is that Brandon can be a bit tough to get ahold of. If Yelp! allowed it, I'd probably give a 4.5 star review due to that. But since Brandon's prices are extremely reasonable and he does an amazing job, I rounded up to 5 stars. Our 2 Shih Tzus Sammy & Brindle love Brandon too. If you see them looking cute as can be in the Country Club Oval Park its because you know Brandon worked his magic again. read more

Once again, Brandon is the cat whisperer! This is the second year I've taken my grumpy cat in for a summer shave. When I drop her off she's hissing and threatening to pee on my pillow out of vengeance, and when I go pick her up she's purring and so happy she doesn't want to leave! He's amazing! The only reason why I marked him lower last time was because it's tricky to get an appointment set up... indeed he's bad about checking voicemail and calling you back, as other reviews note. And I trust him completely with my four-legged babies. That's half the battle of finding a good groomer. Brandon did a excellent job on our part chow-chow, Oreo, who is very scared and nervous around any strangers. Oreo has a lot of hair and it was matted in some spots. My mother has brought her 10-year old boxer, Magnus, all the way from Glendale to have him groomed for years, and I have brought my old roommate's 2-year old, pit-bull, Chloe, to Brandon for full on grooming or just a nail trim since she was a puppy. He's always so cheerful and funny. He really cares for the animals. He can take the most matted mess of an animal and make it look like a super star! Yes, he's a hard to get ahold of on the phone. He is friendly, very professional, and his setup is perfect for the dogs (that is, the dogs get to wait with other dogs while they are getting ready to be groomed...so for the dogs, its like a day care setup). We live all the way across town from Brandon but I would trust absolutely no one else for grooming or daycare of our precious Josie. She is my daughter's dog and my granddogger and I have never adored an animal like I do this little canine soul! She loves him and he loves her! Sometimes when grooming her, she decides she is over it and he puts her down to rest and then finishes later. I have walked in to find him holding her on his lap, petting and talking to her. Several others people I know use him all feel he is the best in town and I'd refer anyone to him. I have a friend that has taken rescued animals to him who look awful and when they leave they look amazing - his compassion for animals is second to none - and it shows! read more
