After years of dealing with weak, chipping teeth, I finally made the decision to replace my upper front six teeth with zirconia crowns. He took the time to explain everything to me so clearly and made sure I was happy with how things were progressing every step of the way, which really helped put my mind at ease. He made me feel completely comfortable, was extremely gentle, and has a true eye for detail--he knew exactly how to shape and color my new crowns so they look entirely natural and amazing. I am absolutely thrilled with the results and can't say enough about how impressed I was from start to finish. The office staff were also so nice and helpful. The receptionists are extremely rude. I called in as a potential new patient and had a terrible experience. The receptionist was rude and unnecessarily short. She hung up while I was mid- sentence. I called back and another receptionist answered, aggressively stated "it wasn't her", and hung up. I wouldn't recommend anyone to this office. Service is disgraceful. read more

I'm so glad I came here. I also have to agree with another review here that some of the negative reviews seem personable. It has been a great experience for the five times I've been here. Yes, five. And yes, things happen. Schedule changes. Only one of my appts had to be rescheduled bc a hygienist was sick. Appts may not take you on time, probably bc a patient was late and pushed schedules back or THINGS happen. Yeah not ideal but come with patience and understanding. Staff are cool and friendly and instruments were opened in front of me. I'm a happy llama. I was referred here by my bf who has been referred by his friend. He's been here for a crown and said Dr. Alan did a great job. I had just gotten my lingual braces off and needed a deep cleaning and two fillings (I'm bad, I know...). I tried to book an appt asap bc I can feel discomfort from a spot that was potentially what the filling would be. Because I have brand new teeth (thanks to lingual), I needed to get new X-rays done. On the day I was available they could only fit me for a consultation and X-rays. No problem. So I went in for it and the tech was so sweet and patient to hear me ramble my mouth (I talk a lot). God bless her heart. Then Dr. Alan came in and explained what he sees in my X-rays and examined my mouth (bless public servants, this must not be easy). He explained things thoroughly and was personable and professional. For my deep cleaning, Maria was my hygienist. She is super sweet and did an amazing job. I had to come two separate days for it bc they had to (optional but I recommend it unless you're a masochist for gum pain) put numbing stuff on me and didn't want to risk me biting my tongue and whatnot. I was super stoked to have Maria again for the other side. She was cool to talk to. If I could marry her, I would. Do you hear bells ringing..? The BIG day: my fillings. Dr. Alan went above and beyond. It wasn't as scary as I thought (gimme a brave sticker). He explained the steps he was doing. It's good to know and I feel more comfortable that he did. I had to come in another day to get the other side done which isn't a problem. Your whole mouth can't be numb. If you're not a foodie then what are you..?? All in all, I am happy I came here. I visited the office more times in under three weeks, more than I visit my mother. Sadly, I have to wait a while before visiting my new dental family again. read more

The doctor and hygenists are friendly and I actually genuinely liked them but going here is not worth the hassle for us. For one, it's nearly impossible to get an appointment after 2:30pm. The office states it's hours are a lot later than that but the receptionist just keeps saying they don't have anything available ... even if the appt is for your cleaning in 6 months. Any time I asked, because my husband needed later appointments, it was always, "We really don't have anything later than 2:30pm." Secondly, we haven't even been patients for 9 months and yet they've canceled three different appointments on us. Twice because they were worried about the weather and once because the doctor had an emergency and had to pick up his kid. On two of those I got the cancellation calls on the day of the appointments. I had already taken off from work specifically because of the awkward time of the appointments. It was fine though. I didn't complain. Emergencies happen after all and winter weather is difficult to predict so they wanted to play it safe. The reason we won't be returning however was that my husband had a cleaning appointment scheduled. He ran late at work so he couldn't make it in time and was unable to call earlier to advise them. He called 15 minutes after the appt was scheduled and was told he was being billed $64.00 for missing the appt. I fully understand policies in place for missed appts but after all the times that the office canceled on the both of us in such a short time span, you would think they would be reasonable and offer the same understanding that we offered them. At least once. Maybe that's asking a lot. Either way this wasn't a good fit for us. read more

I called to make an appointment, receptionist was talking to other people and putting me on hold multiple times. I give her all my information and after a 16 minute call says that i'm not on her Roster. I had called my insurance company in the beginning of February and they are listed as my primary dentist. The receptionist stated I can't make an appointment until I appear in the roster. I was trying to make an appointment in April and she stated she can't call the insurance company. DO NOT go here! The staff is rude, and that's just the start. I made the mistake of selecting this office as my primary dentist with my insurance. I needed a crown after a root canal. Not only did this office make me wait 6 weeks just to get an appointment, they then tried multiple times to charge me significantly more than my insurance had quoted, going so far as to try to get me to sign an agreement before the work was done. Mind you my insurance had called them as well several weeks before to clarify my copay price and they had claimed to agree. I get in for my appointment and upon hearing they were trying to twist my arm again called my insurance. Only to be told by the office that my appointment was cancelled again and they were removing me from their roster. If you have ANY choice and don't want to get scammed out of your money, don't go here. read more

Happened to search for these guys on my insurance provider list (board certified providers was a major plus for me); had my initial appointment today for x rays and a cleaning. Phenomenal service, staff and dentist. Front desk, Jessie, incredibly knowledgeable and kind, even did a follow up call on the same day because I filled out a form wrong and she was looking out for me to make sure my costs were low. The Dental Hygienist, Tori, hands down pro. Competent, kind, fast and thorough all at the same time. Dr. Allen Jacob; following in his fathers footsteps, is concerned about all his patients, not be cause he has to, but because he's a great dentist who wants the best for his patients. I would never return to this establishment, they reuse there x-ray utensils and advise you that they're sanitized. The woman washed it off with dish washer detergent! Please choose a cleaner dentist that values the health of the patient rather than saving money for there business! read more

I went to this office 6 months ago, looking for a doctor I could stay with for years to come. The woman who did my clean was not gentle at all, I was so angered by the whole cleaning process I didn't even talk back to her when she left the room. When it came time to see the doctor I thought that would go better but I was mistaken. He came in to tell me I had a cavity but it did not need to be filled in yet if I didn't want to do it, patted me on the shoulder, and walked out. Completely awkward. read more

What can I say about A Family Dental Group that would do justice to the office as a whole? I have had a fear of the dentist since I was young, and there is no one I have found in all of my years, that alleviates that more than Dr. Alan Jacob. His bedside manner alone will leave you comfortable, not to mention, his painless work. He is a rare breed in a profession that has been stigmatized for many years. The office staff is friendly and attentive, they always greet me with a smile. They make life easier with my insurance questions, and or appointment changes, and work to meet my needs. This place is run so efficiently, I never have an issue. Diane, the hygienist, is wonderful at her job, and my teeth shine when she is finished. I cannot stress this enough, if you are hesitant about the dentist, worried, stressed, or just plain out lazy and avoid your teeth, you must go to see Dr. Alan or Dr. Jerrold. i think the doctors and staff are great. I never wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. They answer all my question. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth out. i healed very well, with minimal pain. Not to mention the doctors called a couple time to make sure everything was going ok. read more

COMPLETELY UNBELIEVABLE. Let me first start off by saying my whole family USE to come to this dentist office for a couple of years now. Called in to schedule an appointment for myself and for my daughter (who would have been a new patient) They told me they couldn't schedule my appointment because of a balance that was due. GREAT. Told her I'd call her back next week with a card but for now let's schedule my daughter. She told me NO because I am her mother and I have a balance. Let me just inform you my daughter has different insurance than myself and also has a different last name. I told her I didn't understand because she'd have an account under her dads name because it's his insurance. The office manager who is Rosemary continued to cut me off with attitude and repeated her self NO NO NO, I will not schedule the appointment until I pay off my balance. Which my insurance is with MY parents. I tried to tell her that she is not under my account she is under her fathers. Explained to her that my balance has nothing to do with her account. I work at a dentist office myself and I know the protocols for situations like this. I told her I'd have her dad call her back and schedule. She said NO I WILL NOT SCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT. THE DAD CAN CALL BUT I WILL NOT SCHEDULE IT. Very VERY RUDE. I called back and was very upset and explained everything about her dad having a different insurance and her name being different and told her I am very upset and I will take this to upper management & that's when she spoke nicely and told me she'd schedule the appointment for my daughter.
