So, long story short, I posted on Nextdoor seeking help, and Cesar responded. He came over the next day, and got right to work. He brought all his own tools, tables for organizing parts, and his own ladder and wheelbarrow! I was very impressed. Cesar showed up every morning, worked hard all day, and then his lovely wife came over at night to help him clean up the site and pack up his truck. They left the job site absolutely spotless. He is a dedicated professional who works carefully and takes pride in his work. The greenhouse turned out to be much more complicated than either of us expected. What was supposed to be a one-day job took three days. He did request an adjustment to the previously-agreed upon price, and that was fair. He put in a lot of work, staying until 7 pm at night. Cesar did an AMAZING job with the assembly. There were eight boxes of cedar wood, polycarbonate panels, a power port, a hose hookup, windows that open, a vent fan...and all the parts were in different boxes. Cesar opened all the boxes and organized all the pieces before getting started. I will absolutely hire Versatil/Cesar for any and all carpentry. It's rare to find someone who takes pride in doing the best possible job. Cesar is that rare someone. I also cannot overstate my appreciation that they cleaned up EVERY night. Too many contractors, especially plumbers, seem to think that I should clean up after them. I'm not their mommy. I recommend Cesar unreservedly. A true professional, and a very nice, personable young man, as well. He has a very pleasant personality. His wife is charming, and it was really a pleasure to meet both of them

So I had a similar experience as another customer who posted a review. I put in a pool and needed…read more2 gates to pass the town codes. The pedestrian gate, no problem. The other gate is a utility gate, opens to 10 feet with no center pole, so it cannot self latch. John told me it wouldn't be a problem to just put a lock on it and tell the inspector it is only used for accessing equipment, boats, etc. The inspector did not pass the gate, said it needs to swing only one way and self close. I spoke to both Stacy and John, I was told he knew what it needed and would be out by the end of the week. That is the last I heard from him. I can't get them to answer the phone. I've been ghosted. I know he was annoyed by having to come back, and I have no issue paying him for additional work, but I'm not the one who makes the Town rules. I've been told by other trades people that a lock on the gate hasn't passed since the 80s. It's unfortunate, I have no issue with the work that he did, he just didn't want to help out I guess. So I am back to square one, my pool is still not up to code and I have to find someone else. I would not recommend them.

This company installed a 6' vinyl fence at my home 2 years ago and all was fine...last winter…read moreduring a wind storm, 2 of the vertical posts started to lean back...and were about to fall. I contacted the company and they responded and sent a repair man out...all he did was shove concrete and stones down the hole while pushing the post back into a vertical position and I was charged $200 for the response and supposed repair...this year once again, because the repair was not done properly, during a windstorm 2 sections of the fence fell and the post that had the concrete/stones pushed down to support it fell and broke...now they want $750 to repair the fence...all it needs is one vertical post all other sections are still good and not broken...I asked if they would reduce the cost to $500 and they refused, saying the $750 was a firm price. I'm sorry, but if they would have repaired the fence properly in the first place by resetting the concrete and post, this wouldn't have happened. I would not recommend them again for any type of repair. I'm still open to hearing from them to work out a repair but not for $750. And I'm willing to update my review if this happens. VP Patchogue
