I received a beautiful floral arrangement in a basket for my birthday from my son & daughter in law who live in NJ. I never seen a more beautiful arrangement like the one I received from A Floral Affair. The beautiful pink roses in the arrangement were huge and smelled so nice. I placed an order through 1-800-Flowers for my grandmother, my grandfather just passed away. I wanted to send her something nice since I could not physically be there with her, as I am on the other side of the country. I was completely dissatisfied with the arrangement when she sent me a picture of the flowers, thanking me. I contacted customer service with 1-800-Flowers to let them know that the arrangement I ordered and the arrangement my grandmother received are not of the same quality or quantity. I order a "Large" arrangement and received something rather small. Only a few lilies were in the arrangement and the roses were browning. 1-800-Flowers contacted me back right away and let me know that there would be a scheduled re-delivery of another arrangement. The florist called a few moments later, A Floral Affair, saying that 1-800-Flowers scheduled a re-delivery due to the fact that the first one wasn't received. I told the lady on the phone that the arrangement was indeed received, it just was poorly constructed. She then blamed it on "Well nobody was home so the arrangement could have degraded by being left on the porch." OK, I understand that flowers could wither due to too much sun, but 1) my grandmother has a screened, shaded porch and 2) I don't think that being left out would cause the arrangement to shrink in size. The arrangement was maybe half the size of the one I paid for. Yes, they used maybe a half dozen roses, and roses are overpriced. But I don't think a half dozen roses should be $90. read more

My poor husband felt so bad when I showed him what I found in the roses be brought home for me for my birthday. He paid a good amount for these too and I don't know how this could have slipped by someone. I was so grossed out, as was he. He goes there often, and the last time he got me flowers, a lot of the stems weren't pushed down into the water and lots of the stems dried up quickly. Now this bug egg situation. I don't think we'll be purchasing flowers from them again!! read more

This is the second order from them and the 4th arrangement. They disappointed again. Why can't they deliver what you order and pay for? The first time, I complained. They called the recipient personally and threatened to come back and retrieve the 3 arrangements. Very unprofessional. This tome, they failed once again to deliver what I ordered. Never again! I received a vase of flowers ...vase of lilies. The lilies were nasty brown with a hole in one of the petals. They also sent the flowers without a name on the flowers. I called immediately after receiving them. They looked gross. Dying expensive flowers! The lady on the phone said she made them last night and knew they didn't look right and looked worse in the morning before sending them out but nothing she could do. She said the order came from online ordering. She had no idea who sent the flowers. These flowers were funeral flowers of sympathy. Someone sent them and I have no idea who sent them. She only offered to send someone out of get the flowers back without offering to make the arrangement again to send to me. She said she would have the flowers deleted from the person's credit card. How does she do that when she does not have any idea who sent the flowers? This company is there with our military to use. In other words, they could care less for our military and families. I do not live on base. They appear to think the people around them are stupid and never question these orders of something that should be beautiful, people pay for beauty. Lousy operator of a company that sends almost dead flowers. The day is almost over and no one has come to take the flowers. read more

I live out of state and needed to order flowers for my sister. I found A Floral Affair online and found their website to be very easy to navigate. I ordered flowers and scheduled delivery. A couple hours after the online order, I called and asked them to change the delivery date. They were very pleasant and happy to do so. A couple days later, I called again and moved the delivery date back to my original date and again, they were more than helpful, gracious and kind enough to change the delivery again. The flowers arrived and were beautiful! I got a second picture from my sister two weeks later and the flowers were still beautiful. These must have been the freshest cut flowers! Extremely disappointed. I ordered flowers that i paid $50 for to be delivered around 4-4:30. I could've paid a fee to have them delivered by 12 but o figured 4-4:30 would work out nicely. These were a surprise for someone and they were gonna be home. Unfortunately the company told me they were going to be delivered late. So i had to tell my friend to stay at the house. They couldn't because they had something to go take care of so i had to tell them why i needed to stay at their house and wait for the delivery. Then i figure out they weren't late to dropping off the arrangement. No instead the driver had brought them to the wrong house. Not even on the street they were suppose to go too. Idk how you get that big of a mix up. The flowers weren't delivered until almost 5:45. When i received them the card with it was ruined and the flowers looked a bit shaken up as if they were left outside in the rain. The company didn't offer a refund or any kind discount even though they told me why the flowers were late. To sum this up I was expecting a great surprise for someone who has never received flowers in their life and the whole thing was just ruined. I'm sorry but i will go somewhere else next time. Also to mention i ordered these from 1-800 flowers. What was received and what was ordered were different. I get an online company doesn't know for sure what others have to fully offer. But if a company doesn't have it they should be able to contact the customer to let them know what all they do have. I wasn't contacted by the company until multiple times of calling 1-800 flowers and then contacting the boutique for me. read more
