I live on the other side of the country from my elderly mother, and often send her flowers for her birthday and Mother's Day. I am dependent on reviews to find a good florist who will deliver. I placed an order for one of their premium arrangements online (nearly a hundred bucks) and they delivered it promptly. My mom said that the flowers were bright and cheery at first but wilted within a couple of days. As a former avid gardener, she is a good judge of flowers and how to take care of them, so I trust her assessment that the flowers they picked were either not suitable for the arrangement or just old. BEWARE and stay away. Unprofessional, unaccountable and unaccommodating. A Floral Affair's reviews are good because she deletes the ones she does NOT like on the Knot. Holly's reviews were indeed TOO good to be true. She did this to my sister this evening - instead of trying to make it right she is hiding behind the good reviews. My sister spoke with this florist earlier in the week. I was in the room and listened to their convo. I am, after all, the MOH so I am very much involved in the wedding. The florist seemed nice and accommodating at first and told my sister to let her know if she had any questions. Holly sent my sister a follow up email with a proposal. My sister read through it and followed up with questions. She is investing a lot of money and wanted to make sure there were on the same page and also wanted to clarify things before a contract is signed. Holly answered back saying she is shocked that my sister was emailing her with an extensive list of questions after their conversation and the follow up email. She also said I do not believe we are the florist for you. I get business owners can choose who they decide to work with but you don't want to work with someone because they are asking questions? I understand if my sister was rude or was asking for something ridiculous but they were questions any bride would ask their vendors. I have receipts of the emails and the deleted reviews by the way. The fact she said NO because my sister had a list of clarifying questions is beyond me. This is part of being a vendor isn't it? Very unprofessional and plain rude in my opinion. Please be careful. I won't be recommending this place to my friends/family. Long story short, the owner refused to work with me because I asked her questions and quote, "Julie, after taking another look at the proposal I sent you based on our conversation, I am surprised at your extensive list of questions. I do not believe that we are not the florist for you and I wish you much success in your wedding planning." I felt that my questions were simple/normal questions that you would ask ANY vendor so that you get clarification (i.e., questions about payment, questions about the floral arrangements/day of wedding, and general/price questions that I wanted to know and I felt that I needed to understand the process better since this is my very FIRST TIME inquiring about wedding florals. Since this is a big investment for me (like it would be to all the brides out there), I need to have those questions answered. She could've answered 3 q's in a sentence. That's not how you treat customers who are just inquiring. So apparently, I'm too difficult to work with, I'm asking TOO MANY EXTENSIVE questions, and cant deal. Prior to all this I've read all the great reviews about this place on The Knot and how helpful and accommodating Holly was so I thought I was in great hands. Even had acquaintances work with them on their wedding florals. Wow, SO UNPROFESSIONAL. It was all messy from the initial phone call and unorganized. This actually worked out in MY favor. We didn't have a contract and thank god I didn't sign with them. God forbid I asked her to do something down the road or tweak something and she gets ticked off and all hell breaks loose. She has been super flexible and accommodating with us having to postpone our big wedding due to the pandemic. Holly was so wonderful to work with for my 7/29/23 wedding! I had spoken with a few other florists first, who had made me feel stressed about my budget and my general lack of flower knowledge. I'm so glad a found Holly. She was able to take a few example photos and run with them, to give me absolutely perfect flowers for my wedding. I'll update with pictures once I get our professional shots back, but wanted to make sure that I didn't forget to leave a review, especially because her Yelp rating right now doesn't reflect her skill at all. Would recommend also looking at her wedding wire and knot pages, which show some nice examples of her work in similar styles to what we had. I would 100% recommend her to any bride. read more

They did not send what was on the website. Now, I know they are permitted to substitute but the substitutes they used were not even close to what was on the website. Also, I called them and spoke to the owner and she was condescending on the phone. She talked to me as if I were a small child and I as not aware of how a florist works. The size of the arrangement was too small for $90, it was not arranged well (looked like it was just thrown in a vase) and it was all red without any contrast the show the roses and carnations. I had to go to another florist to get some baby's breath, pink roses and other light greens to make it an arrangement suitable for my wife for Valentine's Day. I would avoid this place like the plague! I will never do business with them again. read more

I have never dealt with the WORST service that I experienced today at "Floral Affair".Florist messed up my flower delivery that was a gift to me from a friend, delivered flowers 2 days late when they knew I won't be home. They delivered half of my order and besides all that, they left my roses at 20 degree weather outside my door - never even bothered to call me and let me know. I do know that flower shops never do that in the freezing cold weather. If they'd call me I'd come pick them up - they never bothered to call. After all that, days later the owner called me and was so nasty to me on the phone saying she is coming to my house to pick up the order that I was not happy with??? I said I was at work and can't be home now - her response was "if I am unhappy with my flower delivery I should "stick the flowers up my ..." and she hung up the phone. I don't even know HOW this flower shop is staying in business and why?? I am mortified that someone was talking to me in that nasty and arrogant way - especially someone who calls themselves "a business owner". This kind of customer treatment is absolutely unacceptable and lower that I've ever seen in any interaction. read more

A Floral Affair is the BEST flower shop in the area!!! The owners are lovely people who will go out of their way to give you personalized service. The freshness of their flowers is AMAZING. I call them magic flowers because the boutonniere we bought for my son's prom looked as good as the day we got it 9 WEEKS later!! It was in the refrigerator and when I stumbled upon it I couldn't believe it still looked perfect! They are an absolute gem there. I never hesitate to recommend them. read more
