Dave did a great job repairing the leg of a large vintage sofa chair. He came quickly and delivered it back within a few days despite the complication of needing to send it out first for upholstery work. It came back good as new. We had used Dave before a few years ago, and he did a great job. Last year I bought a new rocker / glider, and after a short time it was apparent that something was rubbing, so I called Dave. He located the problem and performed the repair in a little over a day--nice! So my wife decided to have Dave try his hand at a chair which we had had someone else work on, but the repair didn't turn out very well. Dave took the chair, found the job a little beyond his competence, but fortunately had an upholsterer whom he worked with take care of it and returned the chair within a week, good as new. Now my wife can use it for embroidering again; it was her favorite chair. Dave is a very nice fellow, reasonable--his prices are very reasonable--, he picks up and delivers, and, most importantly, he does excellent work. Dave is a lovely guy and does a fine job with furniture repair. My experience has been positive. He re-glued and repaired my 4 vintage kitchen chairs, and my Victorian table. Recently, he disassembled and re-glued a delicate Victorian side chair. I am completely satisfied with his pricing, quality of work, and quick attention. Gave him a antique chair whose back was broken in many pieces and he repaired it to look like "new". I was amazed at the high quality of work. He also did a wonderful job repairing and cleaning a decorative screen. He picked up and returned in less than a week. read more
