Three weeks later, I had not heard back and called to inquire as to the estimate status. I was basically told to chill and they would get back to me when they would get back to me. Another three weeks went by and I worked up the courage to call again. At that point, he said they were too busy. As I do not live near the shop, I told them I would pick it up when i was in the area, which happened to be today. I asked the gentleman why he bothered to take it in. He did apologize but didn't really have a good answer. I probably spent about 3 hours of my time plus gas on this little adventure. If the owner is reading this, please feel free to chime in if I'm misrepresenting anything.

Not only that but I took my clock to two others stores before and one said it was unfixable and the other said it would cost 250 to replace the antique hands with new ones and make it battery operated which I did not want since I wanted it to be restored in its antique glory!
