    Overview of Vinyl Records
    Rok S.

There are so many vintage and vinyl items here. In the back of the store there is a whole room of vinyl records of different artists. They do have a small selection of CD's with the vinyls in the back. In the front there are novelty small souvenir items that are vintage. Would recommend this store if you are looking for vintage collections.

Cute kitschy store. Lots of vintage and second-hand housewares stuff. Pretty cool vinyl selection considering this is a town-vibes kinda store that probably relies on local business - and traffic from the college. Based on the most recent pictures I saw on Yelp, which were over a year old, I thought AGNCL would have more vintage clothing to search thru (my main purpose for the stop), but there was not much at all - one straight-rack half full; I need to come back when this whole covid situation is well in the past, as I'm sure they've had to streamline their priorities for the time being. I'll definitely remember to stop in the future, once things are back to normal.

I really enjoy this store! From the vinyl selection to cute vintage glassware and silly stickers and random items featuring artists.. truly a cute store to look around, and you'll likely pick up a couple things that catch your eye. On my last visit I picked up a planter (handmade ceramic pottery), a pair of sunglasses, and a few records (pictured). The couple (I believe they own the place) are friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

I was sad to see Sour Records lose its old spot in uptown Westerville. It's arguable that the record shop's replacement, A Gal Named Cinda Lou, has a broader appeal, though. A Gal Named Cinda Lou has a bit of everything -- rad designer t-shirts, furniture and vintage clothing, jewelry and household items. They even find room for a small stash of vinyl records for the Sour Record junkie (like myself) who stumbles in off the street. The owner/operator was on site when I visited the shop. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about items around the store. All of the shop's decorations (and some merchandise as well) were designed and created by the owner's daughter. It's a neat concept with neat results. Who can resist an entire wall covered in vintage children's book jackets? Or a counter covered in old sewing patterns. The whole place feels like a big, crazy, hip work of art. I found myself wanting to ask if the fixtures on the walls were for sale! Don't let the antiques category -- or the quaint setting -- scare you off. A Gal Named Cinda Lou is hipper than most.

I bought two if these chairs from the 70s. Upholstery is perfect and in mint condition. A little pricey but worth it!

We had…read morea random stop on our way home from Quebec after spending the night outside of Columbus and got some good breakfast sandwiches from the clutch food truck that we found via Apple Maps. Lo and behold, there was a record store across the street and open early! I've been to a few great record stores in Columbus, but did not know about this one and it's super great. Everything is organized really well and there is so much variety and the prices are very fair.... Sadly a rarity these days. The metal section is divided in various sections so it's very comforting on the.Mind :) I am a connoisseur record stores, and this is the way they're supposed to be. Super nice staff as well.

These days it's a street level entrance, but the absolutely amazing vinyl selection is still very much present in this new record shop located on Summit Street north of campus. most people would be hard pressed not to find several selections that they really like in this large shop. Truly incredible variety. As with most shops like this in the Columbus area, there are some vinyl record collector supplies available for purchase. True collectors and audio files will find this feature very useful. Friendly and talkative staff at the front desk, who are happy to answer thoughtful questions. They are knowledgeable so if you have something on your mind, hit them up if they can help you, I'm feeling pretty confident that they'll do their best. Parking can be a bit of a chore as there are a number of other retail shops in this immediate area, it is also a residential area, and a highly trafficked street. With a little patience, you'll be able to find something relatively nearby. Be sure and check the signs to make sure that you're parking in an area that is permissible.

Okay. Done. Back to business.) Deja Vu is one of those stores where you will find something.... if you look long enough. There doesn't seem to be a consistent style of clothing here, so be prepared to find examples of every era. This is the kind of place I would go if I were looking for something for a period costume and didn't have all that much time to shop. There's a ton of things here, although there is a lot of variation in quality. My biggest qualm was with the jewelry, which felt way too overexcited-about-the-holidays-and-missed-when-big-brooches-went-out-of-style-ey for me. I honestly enjoy any opportunity to point at something and giggle, but this was too easy. The coat section has some honestly gorgeous finds. I am personally not a big fan of the fur coats, but I ran in to a couple of wool ones that I would love to add to my closet. I'm going to go with the coral reef metaphor for this place: there's tons of variation and something for every animal to eat if it spends enough focused time hunting. Just don't get eaten by an octocloth before you do. I bid you happy hunting.
