Stopped by here today and was pleasantly surprised. This place is my cup of tea. I enjoy shopping in places where you sort of have to hunt for the gems and this is exactly that! This place can be best described as the home of an organized hoarder. The place has multiple floors that are full of antique items for any of your needs/ wants. This is definitely a shopping trip that will take a couple of hours. I did not purchase anything, however the prices weren't too bad. Definitely more affordable than other vintage/ antique shops I've been to yet not priced like a thrift store or goodwill.

Fun antique mall in an old house with lots of history. The rooms are winding and fun to look at the woodwork and craftsmanship of days gone by. A nice and eclectic selection of items. The prices were reasonable.

This place is a lot of fun, even if you aren't big into antiquing. I don't like antiquing and going to flea markets very much, but this place is pretty unique. It's located right off High St. in German Village. It's pretty easy to spot. There's a pretty adequate parking lot right next to the brick building. What I love about this place is that it doesn't look very big on the outside, but inside it's huge! The inside just keeps on going and you wonder where it ends. Part of this is because there are five floors! It's kind of like a little maze in here with lots of interesting stuff to look at along the way. I think you could easily spend a whole afternoon here. It's pretty quiet inside and I was kind of afraid to touch anything. I always feel like I'm afraid I'm going to break something in places like these. The floors also creak when you walk so it was slightly creepy. Some of it was kind of dark. You kind of have to start on the first floor and then make your way up the floors in order since the building kind of guides you through it a certain way. It's hard to explain, but the building is full of rooms, instead of each floor just being one big room. If that makes sense. So there are hallways and little spaces that may have been closets. It's really cool. But it can also be a bit confusing to navigate. As for what you can find here, I don't even know. There's so much and it's not really categorized, so if you were looking for something specific you would probably have to have someone working there help you, if they could. I think it's more about just going and seeing what they have and then if something catches your eye you should get it before someone else does. Or before it's moved and you can't find it again. They really do have all kinds of stuff. Some things old, some older. There are toys, posters, jewelry, books, pictures, collectibles, etc. The list goes on. I was there for about two hours and didn't even come close to seeing everything. I didn't end up buying anything, but the people there were very nice. Part of the reason I don't really like antiquing is because I can't afford it. Things were expensive here, but I think it would be like that anywhere else they sold antiques. My friend who dragged me here was looking to buy some antique jewelry as a gift for his girlfriend. All the jewelry we found was really pricey and not really that great. So I wouldn't say this is the best place to buy gifts unless you've got a lot of money to spend. Some of the things might have been cheaper, but I wasn't really checking out the prices. So as far as antique shops go, this one was actually pretty fun. I usually hate these places but it was pretty neat. I might go back someday to check it out but I'll have to give myself more time this time around.

This German Village antique store is far inferior to the hipper Eclectiques Antique Mall in Clintonville. You might find it tougher to snag any neat-o finds at this place -- putting it below the Heritage Square Antique Mall out on Brice Road as well. All that being said, this place isn't so bad. It's in German Village (sort of), which is cool. It's also located in an old school. The numerous floors of the old educational building are packed with antique furniture, toys, knick knacks and the like. Nothing too hip is likely to be found here most days.. So don't expect any super-cool vintage clothes or conversation-piece home decor. This is mostly grandma's house stuff as I remember it. So sad. Depending on the day, you might find something, though. Good hunting!

This is a amazing and unique store. They have a ton of cool knickknacks, and they are pretty price, friendly, considering the items.

Not bad. A lot to see, although a lot of it is glass. Prices are average. Not a bad place just to come & check out.

I just knew there had to be something special in there waiting for me! I opened the door and immediately noticed the large amount of inventory crammed into this little store. There was so much to choose from, I didn't even know where to start. No lie! I ended up starting towards the front of the room and eventually worked my way to the back. After browsing around for some time, I discovered everything from full tea sets to old photos, tons of jewelry, some awesome wall mirrors (with a touch of paint they'll be good as new!), records, and so much more! The fella that runs the placed is named Bob and he was so sweet. He has his nameplate on the desk next to the register, which made it really easy for me to know who to ask for when I was ready to check out. I assured him that I'll be back on Saturdays after the farmers market and he said he's almost always there (unless he's visiting Florida, haha). After about 15 minutes of looking around, I found a handful of cool jewelry pieces that I wanted. I ended up narrowing my option down to a really pretty blue pendant that simply needed a chain to be turned into a bohemian style necklace. For only a few dollars, I practically had a brand new piece of jewelry that could go with just about anything in my closet. Absolute score! I can truly say that I'm eager to make this a more regular stop on my weekend trips to the market. If I only looked around for fifteen minutes and found something good, just imagine what I could find with twenty, thirty, plus.

However, I found the prices to be a turnoff. I saw several items that seemed to be vastly over priced. And it made me a little suspicious. For example- pulleys. I couldn't find one under $125. But I have bought several of the same quality for $40-$70 apiece. Similarly- old doors. Some of the doors marked $425 can be easily found elsewhere for $50-$100. Certainly some were worth the price but I was shocked at how many plain wood doors were marked up that high. All this being said, I don't know much about what the Columbus market will bear and they do have some truly amazing stuff here. I saw a phenomenal stained glass window- appeared to be from an old church? And glass door knobs- they had a ton of those as well as other hard to find hardware... Bottom line, I might stop here if I have my heart set in something in particular but it will have to be an investment piece... And something super special...

There are some amazing vendors that have quality vintage pieces at very affordable prices. You can tell that they take time and care with what they stock and how they set up their displays. I find that my favorite booths get restocked often with an array of new treasures. I've purchased beautiful original art, handmade ceramic pottery, a gorgeous Persian rug and many more one of a kind pieces. This is my go to place whenever I'm looking for unique home decor or a special gift. The off putting.. the staff is usually so helpful and kind but there is one employee (Kerry) that can be outright nasty to customers. I witnessed her make disparaging remarks about another customer. She did this in earshot of my mother and I and then acted like the other customer had personally offended her or done something wrong when they asked for a discount on a damaged item from her booth. She then proceeded to speak to my mother about why her nasty remark was justified. It was gross and I hope that the owner of the store reads this review and is able to address Kerry's nasty attitude. The other complaint is when you see an item with a thrift store price tag right next to the vendors highly inflated price tag. So tacky! I do highly recommend this store but I also hope they can address these issues.

Even the music is period so as I was shopping I felt a little like I was in a tv show or movie- it was surreal. (Esp because I was born in the 80s ;)) However, for me I didn't find anything to take home, and I think it was because the prices were a little beyond what I felt comfortable with. For example- there was a jadeite Bowl in the front display case, and it was priced at double what I paid for the exact same one the day before at the Country Living fair. There were also two other smaller bowls marked jadeite but I don't think they were... and in the back was a statue marked $16 and I have a similar one I rescued for half that in Maryland. In fairness I'm not from Ohio so I don't know what the market will bear and I don't love all mid century modern I tend to like some of it... But the store is immaculate, and all the items are immaculate- and that doesn't come cheap. For example- I saw a pristine teal blue sofa set- two chairs, a large sofa and a loveseat in better condition than some new couches I've seen in show rooms. And a hanging silk Hollywood regency lamp that was delightful. And some of those little plastic serving dishes that are so hard to come by... I think I would come here if I was looking for something in particular from the 60s or 70s. Or if I was shopping with a friend looking for high quality authentic mid century modern furniture.
