This was a very poor experience and I am not someone who leaves bad reviews. The only other bad…read morereview I have seen very left was for a moving company that did not show up, so that is saying something. We hired Scrub Lou cause we are expecting (a little over five months pregnant) and wanted to deep clean our house and get on a three week cycle before the baby got here. We hired Scrub Lou for the Deep Clean service on 09/23/2026. Our house is approximately 2300 square feet and one (1) cleaning lady was sent who arrived promptly on time at 8:00 AM. She did not speak any English (which is fine!) I just don't speak Spanish, so it was hard to communicate as I walked her around. I showed her the house and left for work so she could start the deep clean. At 12:30 PM (which I felt was pretty quick for what the service entailed) I was notified that the service was over and came back. The service essentially wasn't complete based on Scrub Lou's own check list, The most basic of the regular cleaning wasn't done, including dusting of tables, vacuuming the stairs, vacuuming the couches, vacuuming dog hair (visible under our dining room table). The services included with the deep clean - such as scrubbing the shower and doing the baseboards (ANY of the baseboards) - were also not done. We had windows added on and none of the window wells were cleaned. I immediately notified Scrub Lou and sent pictures, requesting a refund or someone new to come do the service. I sent several pictures and they were initially apologetic and stated the same lady could come back shortly. I expressed I was uncomfortable with that because I thought she'd be upset. Thirty minutes later, the same cleaning lady - visibly unhappy to have had to return and surely to have heard what wasn't completed - was sent back to continue the work. There was a translator on staff who translated (Diego was a great translator and a bright spot), I apologized that she had to come back, walked her around again to show her some things she missed and provided a general list of what was expected to be completed. I also advised that I wanted the items as listed on Scrub Lou's deep cleaning list completed. All of these are things that frankly I should not have had to do. Three separate times she had me check her work claiming she was ready to leave - each time there were items (as basic as wiping down the tabletops and desktops in our basement!!!) that had not been completed. Finally, the third time, I just said she was good to go home because I was incredibly frustrated and the job still was not getting properly completed. I called Scrub Lou to cancel our prescheduled three-week regular clean, outlined the experience and no real apology was issued, just an offer to send a different cleaner next time. What was supposed to be a positive experience, to help me during pregnancy, has led to additional stress, a missed half day of work and a house that truly has not been deep cleaned. Even worse - we are out over $600 dollars. I would be wary hiring this agency.
