The area for the painting was kinda small. I noticed that my friend brought all the food, drinks & paper goods. The actual painting was fun- everyone did their own thing. Personally, I thought we would get more instruction. The easels were set up with different color paint nearby & we choose our size canvas. We did have a picture to work with. To inspire us. Both workshops I took were based on the SoulCollage process, which I have continued to work through on my own, and it has been incredibly enlightening. Her studio space is truly a one of a kind experience and is so welcoming. The only downside is it is quite a drive for me, but still one I would recommend taking if you are in the least bit curious about creative expression because Elise is a wonderful guide. She holds open studio Soul Lab sessions usually on Friday morning-afternoons but you'll want to follow her on Facebook for the most recent events. Whether you're into art journaling, SoulCollage or other creative expression forms, Elise's studio is a wonderful place to get in touch with your inner creative.

The Boynton Beach Culture and Arts Center is an anchor in the new Boynton Beach Town Square. It is…read morelocated in the historic 1927 building that used to be the Boynton Beach High School. The two story building has been refurbished and now has a 39 foot high domed ceiling exhibit hall, exhibition space, and teaching studios. The Boynton Beach Culture and Arts Center hosts dance classes, technical drawing classes for adults, art exhibits, private events, workshops, and classes. Outside the building is public art and two playgrounds. The Culture and Arts Center is a place for the community to gather and express themselves creatively and learn new skills. A full schedule of classes and events is in every Funfare Magazine, printed 3 times a year. This weekend the Boynton Beach Culture and Arts Center is hosting the free 6th Annual Kinetic Biennial.
