When I first found out I was pregnant I knew that I wanted to be under the care of a midwife. I was…read morereferred to TVM by planned parenthood. I was going to check out two places before deciding where I was going to receive care. I remember my first meeting with Sophie very clearly. She was so warm and welcoming and not to mention knowledgeable I decided that this was the place for me. It just felt right from the very beginning. Everyone there is truly a joy to work with and there is so much care and attention to detail down to every aspect of this establishment. They even have the good hand sanitizer! I am five months postpartum and I look back at my experience with TVM fondly. They really care about the people they work with and make the process as easy as possible while providing knowledge and reassurance whenever possible. Bri, Ashley, and the student Jenna were the most cohesive team I could have asked for during delivery. I had Sierra come by and check me 12 ish hours in and she was a pleasure to work with as well! During the final part of my delivery I felt soothed by the presence of the three and was able to completely relax into the process. Afterwards they were fast acting and reliably took care of the tearing I experienced. During my care following the birth Bri was super attentive and helped me as I learned how to navigate this new world I was in while also trying to heal my body from the birth itself. Jenna was able to encapsulate my placenta for me after I expressed concern that my original plan was falling through. She was professional and even created some art that we were able to keep as a keepsake! This really helped me with the fluctuating hormones (I was scared of Postpartum depression) and I ended up integrating a lot easier than I feel I would have without. All in all this was a beautiful and unique experience. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing. I believe that TVM set me up for success and helped awaken the innate part of me that knows I CAN DO THIS! Becoming a mother has been the most empowering yet challenging thing I have ever done and I am so thankful for the team at TVM for making it wonderful for us. I can not recommend them enough!

Tawnia came in and confirmed that it was time to push, without conducting any checks. She had me push for five hours. I mentioned that I was in a lot of pain and felt like nothing was progressing. She kept telling me to push. I was finally so exhausted that I told my husband I wanted to go to the hospital. Then, another midwife came in and suggested she could perform a check to see where we were. She advised me not to continue pushing. Surprisingly, my water wasn't broken, and I wasn't even fully dilated. They then informed my husband that our son might have a neck injury due to all the trauma. My husband drove us to the hospital, and after being there for about two hours, I was finally ready to push. When he was born, he was unresponsive at first and had breathing issues. I believe this was due to the hours of trauma he went through. I also ended up tearing very badly, which I think was a result of the hours of active pushing when I shouldn't have been. They were completely incompetent. They didn't take any responsibility or even bother reaching out to us after the whole incident. The owner, Laurie, was avoidant and unhelpful. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Alicia helped us have our third baby. She found us an amazing surrogate in record time. She was…read morereasonably priced. She was supportive along the journey. She recommended a good IVF clinic (dr. Maas) and OB (Lovelace). We were nervous when reading her Yelp reviews but I am very glad we went with her. I am a real customer so if you are considering her services message me on linked in and I can jump on a call. Good luck!

I read through other reviews…read moreprior to signing up with Alicia and asked her about the negative reviews. - Alicia has been very flexible and worked with us on fees and payments. She has shown us true customer service. We were initially matched w/someone and it didn't work out, but about 1-2 weeks later we were matched with a wonderful surrogate. - The surrogate, Alicia, and our family met virtually via FaceTime and had a great conversation and decided, that we would all move forward with the process. - The surrogate and I have so much in common and we like to manage our own processes, so Alicia was there to guide us and provide help when needed, literally 24/7. I can be very demanding and particular about how I want things done and she was able to move quickly w/medical testing facility selection, psych evaluation, etc. - The process was not seamless, we experienced delays with the lawyer and contracts and Alicia stepped in to help move the process along quicker. While, we chose to stay with that lawyer throughout the process, Alicia has moved on to another lawyer that has better response time. - The transfer occurred for us in July of 2019 in Chicago and the baby was born in Idaho on March of 2020. Due to the pandemic, we drove from the Midwest to Idaho for the delivery, as well as we visited for the 20 week ultrasound. We spent time with our surrogate and her family, both times and really enjoyed our time with them. - We are now at a place where we are working with Alicia and our same surrogate for a sibling journey. She has sent info on matching and prices and is open for discussion. Which to us, sounds like good business. She knows that we are not made out of money and like most people who have written reviews on here, we have been saving and sacrificing to get to this lifelong dream.
