We rolled into Loveland by cycle on Memorial Day weekend and found our lunch destination closed. We pivoted to A.K.A. As our second choice, and boy am I glad we did! The staff welcomed us with energy and excitement. They all were friendly and jovial with all the customers, including our server Celeste. She suggested a couple of beers and brought us tasters of the beers we didn't order with out order! So attentive and kind. We discovered we loved one of those beers (the Cream poblano ale, though the Kilty as Charged was good as well) and plan to return and have one today or tomorrow! Anyway, we ordered a hefe and split a smoked Turkey sandwich with sidewinder fries. The fries were super crispy and soft on the inside. He sandwich had layers of flavor with apples and Brie. I would recommend it, but then I'm excited about almost anything on this menu. We definitely plan to return during our two days in Loveland. read more

I loved my experience here and the waitress that helped our table!!! I ordered the Steak & Egg Sandwich with thinly sliced marinated steak, two sunny side up eggs, sautéed mushrooms, greens, horseradish mayon on potato buns. She gave me extra steak because I asked if it was possible, and she didn't charge me extra. Additionally, she brought me a bowl of fruits even though it wasn't on the menu. Another request I had. What a stellar service! My friend ordered the Huevos Rancheros with a large local flour tortilla that came in an iron skillet filled with delicious goodies: homemade refried beans, pepper jack cheese, pork green chili, two eggs, tomato, green onion, guacamole, sour cream, and a side of hash browns. HOWEVER, the Pesto Cream Cheese Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms was missing from the bag. The other items where OK and not that special. We've been frequent customers for the last two years, and have been super happy with the food & great service. Our most recent visit was disappointing! Our burgers were dry and overcooked! The server attempted to charge us for a beer we never received, then questioned us about it. She made us feel like we were at fault for the wrong charge. We were talking among ourselves about the delicious cheesecakes offered, and she rudely commented we'd be waiting 50 minutes if we wanted a piece of cheesecake. AKA has become our new preferred local hangout. Pre COVID it was difficult enough to find a place w/a balanced combo of cozy outdoor seating w/good ambiance and excellent food. Now it has become an essential purpose When dining out and AKA has it all (even a warm outdoor fire pit)! The Happy Hour drink prices (house margaritas are the best!) along with the locally sourced ingredients for their dishes makes AKA a stand out amongst the other restaurants in town. Everything from their appetizer carne asada fries to their delicious burger with bacon jam are DELICIOUS and never disappoint! The staff has never been anything but warm, welcoming and friendly. It's always a sign of great customer service when you are recognized and remembered by your server when visiting an establishment. Eddie has been our server many times, always serving us with his humor and hospitality. We can't thank him enough for making our Friday Fiesta nights all that more memorable and fun! Wow! Loveland needed a new place to get a great breakfast, we haven't tried any other time of day yet- but we will be back for sure! The cocktails were great (don't you judge me ) the menu is adventurous for some items and has classic staples. The staff is wonderful and the cinnamon rolls are a must try- they are baked to order in a skillet! The husband has a pho braised brisket sandwich it was incredible. I hope it makes the cut for the summer menu .. also we LOVE that they have a rotating menu. While I'm a creature of habit- my hubby always likes to try what's new. A.K.A's menu is a happy balance for both of us! And, it seems like a lot of our favorite staffers from the former Egg & I have found their home here too! yay!! We missed them! read more

My wife and I have been going to A.K.A. Kitchen off and on for about 3 years. Great place to eat, great rotating menu, warm friendly service, easy parking, patio with fire pit when the weather allows, nightly specials. 2 years ago I had the Friday prime rib special. Delicious! I went in last week and ordered it again and the chef remembered that I like the end cut because it has all the seasoning on it and it's not rare. Two years later! Our waitress Ivy was the kind of waitress who adds to the whole flavor of the evening. Genuinely warm, friendly and attentive. Bella the bartender, delivered our drinks to our table and paused to chat, also in a genuine and friendly manner. Emily, who was not serving us came over to tell us that she remembered our past visits and how my wife liked her wine, with a slice of Jalapeño in it. While I devoured my prime rib end cut my wife had a couple of the appetizers, the Brussel sprouts with bacon and the Mexican style roasted corn which she devoured with relish. For desert we ordered the apple cinnamon roll which was the size of a dinner plate and delicious. All the portions were very generous, so some prime ribs, Brussel sprouts and apple cinnamon roll all came home with us. Going back real soon! read more

My friend and I stopped in this restaurant after hiking in Loveland. We really wanted lunch, but there was nothing on the menu for those of us who don't eat meat. The wait staff was very helpful, and asked the chef if he could make the breakfast Mexican dish without meat. It was delicious and a lot to eat. I probably won't return since the menu is not geared to vegetarian, but for those who eat meat; go for it! read more

By far the best breakfast in NoCo. I ordered the corned beef skillet and it did not disappoint. I grew up on corned beef mash or skillets as a kid and this corned beef was the best tasting, moist, perfectly seasoned I've ever tasted. They were celebrating their 3rd anniversary and the entire staff was wearing festive party gear which was adorable. The band outside - Poudre Valley Playboys - was AMAZING as well. Food was ok, we got a gnocci plate without the chicken we asked for, and it took until everyone else was done to get the chicken, but then we had realized the gnocci was sitting in -literally- a half cup of oil, which would drip off the food when it was picked up. So the server "went halfsies" (her words) with us since we had eaten a little of the pasta, and comped half of it lol. Never in my lifetime have we had that happen! I mean come on, can you just not comp the plate of food that you messed up on, and the chicken that didn't come until everyone else had eaten? Poor customer service! We won't be back.
