I heard from a friend that Epic Egg was really good, so my husband and I decided to give it a try. All I can say is--we will definitely be back! This was hands-down the best breakfast we've had in a long time. My husband ordered a skillet, and I had an omelet. The flavors were spot on, everything was seasoned incredibly well, and the ingredients tasted fresh and high quality. Every bite was delicious. This was my third visit to this restaurant. At my first visit, I had the corned beef hash with eggs and it was delicious. My second visit I think I had some kind of Mexican omelet and it was delicious as well. The wait staff is always top notch. On my most recent visit, we once again had excellent service. I don't remember her name by she has tattoos on her ears and is not Hispanic. She's awesome. Now for the two star review. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. I can't believe l didn't send it back. The "steak" wouldn't even qualify as meat, let alone steak. It was mushy like pablum and was made to be eaten with a spoon. It was disgusting. It had some type of flavor, but it wasn't meat. I can't believe they had the nerve to call it "steak". I tried scraping off the 'fried' part but the whole thing had no body to it whatsoever and just fell apart. To be fair, my husband had a traditional bacon and eggs meal and he said it was good. What the heck happened? I know the prices of meat have gone up but again- it was not meat. Don't restaurants usually go to a cheaper cut of real meat? It's like but not love. The Barbarian Omelet was quite good, as was the orange juice. "Rustic Potatoes" were so-so. The Croissant was pretty dried out, and no butter or jam came with it (but I was cheerfully given some upon request). I'm having some trouble adjusting to 2024's inflated prices - is $21 for an omelet and a glass of orange juice reasonable? With taxes and tip, that's like $26! I like breakfast-centric restaurants, but to be quite honest I don't feel much pull from the Epic Egg drawing me back. p.s. Customers don't like it when the menu has one price and the check has another. My Barbarian Omelet rang up $1 higher ($16.50) than the menu showed. Not cool. read more

My friend and I came in here for a late breakfast. The place is much larger than it looks from the outside and bright. We were greeted by the hostess and seated pretty quickly. The server came in good time. She took our drink order and told us about the candied bacon. We ordered that and it was yummy! My friend ordered corn beef hash with over easy eggs. The hash look like it came out of a can. It wasn't crispy at all. The eggs were not over easy. They were well done. She said it was OK. She took a large box home. She got a café latte and enjoyed it very much. I ordered eggs Benedict, with Soft poached eggs. When it came to the table the eggs were barely done. I can't eat whites that aren't cooked. I had to send it back. Server came with a new one pretty quickly. Eggs much better. I liked the ham that was on there, thinly sliced and generous. The eggs were OK the second time. The hollandaise sauce was good and there was plenty of it. The English muffin was kind of under done for me. I like it grilled mostly but a little more crisp. The potatoes were really good and well seasoned. We had excellent service with a very attentive and helpful person. The menu is amazing. There is definitely something for everyone. The service was also great, everyone was so friendly!! The food was good, but average. The potatoes didn't have much flavor but not a huge deal. The drink menu was fun and interesting! I only took off one star because of the ambiance. He's picky and has been trying to find a good homemade version since Egg & I changed. He loved it. Said it was so good. I got the Cowboy Skillet with the green chile on the side. Green chile was flavorful yet spicy. The skillet was covered in cheese and so delicious. The gravy was perfectly seasoned and definitely not bland. The biscuit was also amazing. My husband and I are Urban Egg loyalists for the most part, but I really wanted to try something new and the menu here sounded really cool and different. So glad we did! Not only is it cheaper than Urban Egg (which we still love and go to, but just facts here) but it is also delicious. I have had the pancakes, eggs and bacon plate and also the classic benedict and both were delicious. Mimosas are cheap and awesome and you can get a flight of different breakfast cocktails to try. The atmosphere is kind of a funky diner vibe, which I love, and the staff are all very cool and friendly. I honestly like sitting at the bar here. Anyway-give them a try. They are kind of tucked behind Liquor Max and by Planet Fitness, so not easily seen from the highway but well worth the visit. read more

I went to this place on Mother's Day and got really bad service. But I thought I would try them one more time so I went today and there was only maybe 10 customers in there so it was a slow time. But we got really bad service again. This is just not a good place to go to. Ownership needs to do something because this is a small town and the word is getting out. We stopped by early last week. Enjoyed breakfast. I had the cornbeef and my husband had eggs benedict. Both well prepared, generous servings. They provide coffee carafe and hot water carafe for tea. Tea selection was basic. The place was clean, service was well done. The menu has many tempting items. The decor is subdued except the garish lighting. The wall sconces are glaring and the canned lights are not much better. I would suggest they cozy things up with different lights/ bulbs. It would be nice if they offered grits or French fries as an alternative, because the home style potatoes were just tiny cubed hard little pieces of potato, with little flavor or texture.
