Elise did such a wonderful job painting our condo. The drywall needed a lot of repairs. she made it look new. The previous owners had quite a few large holes in the walls and new they could be fixed but was worried how they would look. The repairs are so good you would never know the holes were there. I was injured from a ladder fall and laid up. I unfortunately hired Elise to finish my gutter cleaning task. Elise showed up late afternoon to clean using my tools for the job. Says her truck/tools were stolen. Her Gutter cleaning was just an okay job. I was not happy that Leaves, mud, debris completely covered my newly done landscaping. It became dusk, One drain was still clogged. Hose and electrical cords dangling from gutter. Covered Patio is a gritty muddy mess. My tools still on roof. We agreed Elise would return to finish in 3 days after the rain. I regret I paid her. She called me a few days later with a day/time she could finish; She was a no-show. She said she was asleep when I called and she said would come right over. Later, she texts me that she had to go to another client's and would be over after. Frustrated, told her don't bother to come and fired her. I don't know why she came to my house sometime later and without my knowledge, she ran off with bags of custom fertilizer/compost I use in my front yard. She admits she took it and threw it out. Now I have to hire someone to clean up after this contractor. Now I remember why I don't like to hire contractors. What a nightmare. read more

Elise and her team are the most amazing crew I worked with. We have been building a high end custom home and received her name from our Sheetrock crew. The attention to detail on our 18 foot curved walls made all the difference! She advised us wisely on paint choices (flat vs. semigloss) and the end result is stunning! This is my second review of Elise Perez owner of A Ladies Touch Painting. I had another project that was a difficult job that required a lot of fixing that the previous painter had ruined. 9 brand new doors had to be sanded and re sprayed. Elise flew a painter from Southern California to help with the fix it project. The job was completed in 2 phases since she was so busy. She was in the middle of a high end custom home owned by an architect. She and her amazing new painter went beyond what my clients expected. The doors are smooth and flawless. It pains me to have to write a negative review but I really think people need to know about Elise Perez. I do NOT recommend "A Ladies Touch Painting" and I'm going to tell you the exact reasons why. I have had Elise and her crew paint for me 4 times at 2 different houses. Reasons why you shouldn't hire her: 1) She always has to come back and "fix" her work. She often doesn't get the lines straight between the baseboards and the wall. Then she tells you that the masking tape bleeds through. Sorry, if you're a professional painter, you should be able to do straight lines. I can show you pictures! 2) During the last job, she told me she was charging me $35 an hour. I agreed to this price although I thought it was high. She neglected to mention that this was $35 an hour PER PERSON. She usually shows up with maybe 1 other guy. This last time she showed up with 3 guys. Then after the job was done, she told me I needed to pay them EACH $35 an hour. All she had to to do was check with me in advance to make sure I was cool to pay $35 an hour PER PERSON and to RUN IT BY ME THAT SHE WAS BRINGING MORE PEOPLE THAT I NEEDED TO PAY FOR. She never did so but just expected me to pay the extra for the extra painters she showed up with.THIS DIDN'T EVEN INCLUDE THE $157 EXTRA I PAID FOR PAINT! THE $35 PER PERSON PER HOUR SHE CHARGED ME DIDN'T INCLUDE THE PAINT! 3) After that, she had the audacity to tell me that it was "understood" that I was paying $35 an hour per person and to try to make me feel bad saying I was making her want to cry when she was the one who was jacking me! I paid her the amount she asked but I wish honestly now that I hadn't. I feel like I was screwed over because she sprung it on me that she was bringing more painters that I had not agreed to pay for. That's just shady, plain and simple, no matter how you look at the situation! 4) Then after all this, I asked her to come by to "fix" her mistakes. She told me she didn't have the time and that for any future jobs should would just bid a price for them. SCREW THAT! You don't screw me over and expect me to keep using you! Elise screwed over the wrong pregnant mama! I'm refusing to use Elise Perez of a Ladies Touch Painting in the future and I want everyone in Sacramento/Elk Grove to know why they shouldn't hire her! Also, learn from my mistake and if you're hiring a painter/contractor be sure to get everything in writing. read more

We have had A Ladies Touch Painting work on our house several times starting in 2009 with our most recent job being in August 2015. The painting jobs have ranged in size from a complete interior painting, including ceilings, doors, moldings, and walls to single rooms and spot painting needed when repairs done by another contractor resulted in damage to walls and a section of ceiling. In every case the work was done professionally for a very reasonable price and the clean up was first class. Elise Perez, the owner, is a very straightforward business woman who always delivers exactly what she promises. She is honest beyond question and we have always been comfortable giving her and her crew full access to our home to complete work when we have needed to be away. She always uses the highest quality paints and materials and she stands behind her work and will return to address any problems that might develop without a reservation. She has been very successful in adapting to the low and zero VOC paints that are now required in California where many other contractors continue to have problems with uneven color and striping, especially with exterior trim and gutters and downspouts. read more
