The A/C in an apartment I rent out on Miami Beach went out on a Friday night. Tenants have a young baby and I wanted to get this taken care of ASAP. Called up A Line and they were there within the hour. Got it back up and running in the dark and came back the next day to finish the job. I was only able to speak with them over the phone, but their communication was excellent and they reiterated everything they did in detail. My tenants had nothing but good things to say, and most important, their A/C was back on for the night. This is the first time I've used them, but I'll be calling them next time. Used A Line for a an issue I had with my AC in my apartment on Miami Beach. I had recently installed a new thermostat and unknowingly blew a fuse in the process. I knew it would be a quick fix. They were flexible with me and I was able to get a spot within a few days. When the guys arrived to do the repair they were quick and my AC was working again within about 25 minutes. His crew showed up the next day as scheduled, and it turned out to be a different diagonsis of the problem. They worked professionally, fixed the problem in 90 minutes. This was the 5th AC company I called after googling. They were the only ones who said they would come to Brickell and work on my kind of unit. I just moved in to a condo and needed the coils cleaned. Alan came out the next day. He was very knowledgable and showed me a lot of helpful things about my unit and how it works and how to take care of it which I really appreciated! After he was finished cleaning he made sure to turn the air on and stayed a little while longer to make sure it was running properly and cooling. He did a great through job as my air feels cooler, it is coming out stronger and my eyes are not watering as much because of the new clean air. They also had very reasonable pricing. I have had many experiences with air conditioning repair, having lived on South Beach for the past 22 years. Most of the AC companies over-charged, under-serviced, and "fixed" what did not need fixing. Yesterday Mike from A-Line arrived when he said he would, took time to explain how to most efficiently run the unit, how to best care for it AND fixed the issue. Not only was he courteous and imparted valuable knowledge, but charged exactly what he had quoted on the phone. I am so pleased with this company. I found them on yelp and called because my AC unit had been out for 4 days and it had been impossible to fix on our own. They were booked for the day, but after explaining our situation (high-rise living, with a baby, in a hot apartment), he made arrangements and they came out the same day. It was summer with temperatures of 90+ when my AC unit broke. The unit was 15 years old, so it was time to replace it. I called them up and they came immediately. They quoted me a price; and after some research, I selected a brand. I have a condo in a 4 story building. The compressor is on the roof. They arranged for a crane and installed the unit quickly. Summary: Terrible Communication & Follow-up. This company seems too busy to even follow-up with a customer, and suggested I find a different AC company. In a world that is becoming more and more about customer service, this mismanaged company's days are limited. Details below. I called A Line AC on a Sunday 11am because my air conditioner was not cooling. The guy who picked up the phone (Alan?) sounded groggy and said he had no techs available. I said "Absolutely no problem; Can I check back tomorrow?" He said Yes. Called the next day when Alan told me they opened. He said he'd get back to me. Four hours later I called. He said his techs were busy. I asked if I should call back the next day. He said, Yes. The next day I called, he said, "OK someone will go out to your place tomorrow." I asked around what time. He said, "Noon" Took the day off of work to wait for the repair tech. At 10am, I called to confirm. "No one has called you he said???" No, of course they hadn't. He said he'd figure out what was going on. But by 11:30am he nor anyone else had called to update me. I called again. No response. Called again at which point he SUGGESTED I FIND ANOTHER AIR CONDITIONING (AC) REPAIR COMPANY TO WORK WITH. Which I did. I couldn't have been more patient and courteous during all of my interactions with this crappy business. I would avoid this huge waste of time. read more
