Everyone in our local area knows Monticello's is the place to go for premium cuts of meat and…read moredelectable seafood. Not many know about the MANY other items they offer. The produce section is beautiful offering many staple items and cauliflower as big as my head! The desserts are mind blowing, chocolate, fruit, cake, rolls, tarts, gluten free...all bases are covered here! There is even a soup stand with at least 6-8 selections, to-go foods both cold and warm. Lunch options, dinner options, snacks...it's all available there! Lastly the dog treats, they are homemade and brought in by the baker/owner of the small local business on a regular basis. Several items in the store are sourced locally and the prices are comparable to other stores, maybe a little more for specialty items. All team members encountered are willing to help and answer questions and everyone was smiling and in a genuine good mood. Rare! There is legit something for everyone and they are now on my weekly list of stops to make!

The hamburger turned on the second day in our fridge. So basically we threw away 30.00. So much for saving money. The prices on things like rice was over a dollar more than at other stores. The store is cute and new, low on some inventory due to only being open a week but there was still plenty to choose from. There were several brand options, not available in most other local stores, while still offering household staples. At the end of some aisles there are meal suggestion displays. Each display includes the majority of items to make a particular meal or dish. The pricing seemed comparable to other stores in the area and the store was buzzing with team members (mates) that were restocking shelves or helping customers. All seemed to be enjoying their job and happy to be at work. I'm honestly not sure if Trader Joe's will become part of our weekly shopping routine as other stores in the area meet our needs better.
