I have used other movers in the area but Tyler and his crew took the stress away from my moving day. They were on time, professional and efficient. I had two very tough loft beds that needed to be disassembled and reassembled in the new place. Not only did the process go very smoothly but they added some wood screws into my bed to strengthen it, which was above and beyond the call of duty. I was very pleased my move took 6.5 hours end to end. I also liked the convenience of being able to go to the warehouse and pick up boxes I needed ahead of time. This was a huge money saver for me. Beware of this company, especially when they are dealing with elders. They charged over $2700 to move an elderly couple 2.3 miles from a ground floor storage facility to a two bedroom, ground floor apartment. Total time they were there was 3.5 hours. This couple was quoted from multiple companies between $1100-1300 total for the job. The storage facility was all boxed up- except furniture- in advance of the move. The only reason for it getting two stars is nothing was damaged during the move and the people who were working were very nice. read more

We hired this company based on a recommendation from our insurance adjuster. (Our condo was damaged by a broken pipe one floor above us). He said they were experienced moving valuable items. And they lived up that rep in the packaging and handling of the one piece of art involved. On the more quotidian items I'd give them a C to C+. A lot of items seemed to be thrown into boxes indiscriminately. Music CDs were mixed in with PC software even though they were originally located separately. Some clothing was just tossed into the bottom of wardrobe boxes. When they returned our stuff from storage, they were late in the day and rushing to get everything in before the freight elevator shut down. The crew at first said they weren't responsible for putting stuff away, although we had specified that service at the time of pick up. I had the sense that meeting the deadline overrode any other considerations. Given the tight deadline I helped put things away. All in all, it wasn't a horrible experience by any means, but it didn't exhibit any standards of extra care. read more

I hired the Mastrocco Movers to pack and move me from my one bedroom apartment to a two bedroom apartment two blocks away. I spoke to Tony who was very polite but vague when it came to an estimate on pricing. He quoted me an hourly rate which was two times the market rate but promised more man power and less time to actually move. Here's what happened. The movers are nice. But they are VERY slow. Their hourly rate includes their prep and travel time from Warminster to your location so even before they show up you have paid hundreds of dollars. They took an entire day to pack (my other movers took only a few hours) and an entire day to move. Yes, an entire day to move a ONE BEDROOM. At the end, my stuff was safe and sound in the new place BUT the total came to over double what the other quotes were. And because they only take cash - get ready to make multiple trips to the ATM and max out your daily limit day after day to pay them. I wouldn't recommend them. read more

I hired Mastrocco Movers to help me move a very awkward piece as we cleaned out my parents home. I was determined to do everything myself but I soon realized that trying to move one of my father's printing presses that weighed 1/2 ton would likely put me in a hospital. I called Mastrocco knowing that I was at their mercy and actually spoke with the company owner Tony who was courteous and caring. He sent out men quickly to and they got the job done. They were great! Since it was an odd unit and I needed it done quickly I was told that they could not give me a price up front and I was left having to trust they would not take advantage of my situation. They didn't, their price was more than fair and I would use them again in a heartbeat. They are simply good people and great movers. We have moved 10 times and have used Big named movers...United, Allied etc. But this move from Pa. to N.J. was by far the best! The Truck was big and clean, the crew with Pat in charge was excellent! No damage to anything that was moved. I was a little leery about the price Tony had quoted us, as they never came to see what we had to move...but I must say what he quoted was what was charged! Took me a while to post this review, but it has been on my mind and finally getting an opportunity. These guys did a COMPLETE move for us from PA/NJ to NYC and words can't describe how professional and efficient they were. If you are like me, you DREAD moving and the typical shifty movers that come along with it. My perception has been forever changed from my experience with these guys. I kept hearing they were "the best" and now I know why. From the moment Mastrocco movers arrived I felt like they took control, re-packed what was not packed as well as it could have been (all without any question or complaint) and treated each box of furniture and goods like it was a box of fragile feathers. If you want QUALITY, hire these guys. When we arrived to my new home, they placed each box where it needed to go and assembled furniture with the extra time they had. Super kind, trust worthy and great people. Go ahead and hire cheaper movers or off craigslist if you are looking to have your stuff thrown around, get over charged for nothing and feel helpless in a sea of boxes ....but if want organization and true HELP these guys are hands down TOP NOTCH. I used Mastrocco for a move from one house to another. From my initial conversation with Tony to the end of the move, every person that I talked to was friendly, helpful and professional. They took excellent care of my furniture. After putting my furniture in my new home, they even took the time to put felt pads under the legs of the furniture to even up the furniture and prevent marks on the new hardwood floors. These people are overpriced and not polite. They claim they sell insurance and take your money but when you ask for a copy of the policy and the conditions they provide noting. During the move an expensive item went missing. You can use a less expensive mover and not lose items. They claim to cover the mattresses in plastic wrappers but on moving day they said they forgot to bring them. At the end of the move they demand cash only! read more

I did not use Mastrocco for moving, but they were supposed to deliver furniture for me (purchased through a local store) and the situation was a nightmare. You could not get a time for delivery until the morning of delivery. We finally set a date for delivery only to have them call late in the afternoon that day to say they couldn't deliver after all due to rain delays. After setting a new date, I called three times to confirm and was assured delivery would occur on the new date. Upon calling for a delivery time that morning, however, they claimed they had no record of the new date. I still have no idea when they plan to deliver this furniture of mine that they have had for several weeks now. No one in this business seems to know what anyone else is doing or promising. unbelievably crooked. gave us a quote then tried to charge us an extra $4000 before finishing delivery and unpacking. do not use this firm. don't say you weren't warned. the job foreman was a nice man who said his boss did this on every job and he was always put on the spot when he was made to present the demand. my husband called mastrocco and never have you heard such screaming and raving as my husband refused to pay and held the phone away from his ear as we three stood listening. my husband said quietly--he's a calm man--you'll give yourself a heart attack if you carry on like that. surely you are an experienced estimator if you have been in business for so many years: so you are either incompetent or crooked. my husband put the phone down. we had been laughing with incredulity at the bad language mastrocco was shouting (he even threatened my husband). at that point the foreman, who was a sweet guy, gave my husband a hug! he said this was the day he had been waiting for, and he himself had had enough and he was going back to quit his job on the spot. read more

I do not even know where to begin. Please, please think very carefully before EVER hiring Mastrocco Moving Company. I literally spent thousands of dollars with them and in order to get some things out of storage had to hand over 1000 for two hours work. There are also several things missing from storage. I blame myself - EVERYTHING I MEAN everything should have been in writing. Over the past 6 years I gave this company over 25,000 and was treated as if I were a criminal. I was screamed at and threatened. This is not the end of this. A review on yelp will have no effect on their business. I am literally shaking from the abuse and screaming I received from the owner. The long and short of it is this. I moved from Houston to Philly in 2012 and paid close to 20,000 for the move. I put somethings in storage and for 6 years paid 75 dollars a month. In 2015 I moved again from one apartment to a rental home and paid around 6,000 for that move. A few months ago - AFTER SIX YEARS OF PAYING FOR STORAGE - THEY SENT ME A 1500 BILL FROM THE ORIGINAL MOVE! NO ONE KNEW WHAT IT WAS FOR but trust me, I have received 6 years of bills showing a zero balance every month. Tony then would not deliver my items out of storage unless I handed the driver 1000 for what took 30 minutes to unload the truck. It was extortion, pure and simple. I am also missing several things from storage. So, if you use this company proceed at your own risk and don't say i did not warn you. And Do not trust anyone there - have an attorney look over anything you sign. read more

we used mastrocco to move from our condo on rittenhouse square to our home in paoli. they did the packing, even wrapped a toothpick holder. mothing was damaged or broken. the only issue i had was withdrawing so much cash from my bank.. they seriously looked at me as if i was doing something wrong.as you know when anyone wants all cash they are not paying taxes, so i feel the price of the move should be a bit more reasonable. but no issues with them at all read more

My husband is an engineer and knows the importance of logistics, time, and money and he was beyond impressed with the movers and how efficiently they worked. They took excellent care of our furniture wrapping pieces under 22 seconds and protected all of our furniture from the rain. They work very well as a team watching each others back and were very professional & polite. They were kind enough to lift our queen bed frame with mattress so our rug could be laid down under it as I had forgotten to ask while they were putting together the bed. I got a very competitive quote from Tony, it was not the cheapest quote to move but was in the ballpark. We chose Mastrocco Moving & Storage because of the way Tony handled the quoting process and knowing they were just moving our stuff and not having us share a truck with another job. It seems that many of the national chain moving companies will have you share space with other jobs and give you a wide window of days as to when they will actually deliver your furniture. Tony had his crew at our house on a Friday morning and got us all packed up by early evening. He had 2 drivers and trucks drop our stuff off 3 days later in Florida on a Monday morning, the day we settled on our new house, just as we had asked The timing and professionalism of the movers could not have been better.
