They then admitted to having major leaks from rainfall - taking my stuff OUT OF SAFE KEEPING - and ruining my 4K couch that my wife and I saved up for as well as our expensive mattress which was 3K and our bedroom set 4K. Had an AMAZING experience with the two gentlemen who actually moved the furniture, but dealing with this company was awful. When I initially called to get a quote, I was given one number by one person. I agreed to that rate and received my confirmation after giving my down payment. The day before my move, I still hadn't heard from them regarding what time the movers would arrive. When I called to inquire, I was told that my original quote was wrong and that I would have to pay around $200 more. I was irritated, but was already set to move the next day, so I agreed to the new quote from this new person. The movers arrived 2 hours before the scheduled time (not their fault, once again the fault of the company), and they were LOVELY. Such nice men, friendly, and did an excellent job. After they had finished, I received a call from yet again a different person asking to settle my payment. This time, it was FIVE HUNDRED more than my initial quote. I was baffled. I explained to this new person my situation, what the previous two people had told me, and why I certainly wasn't going to agree to pay that much more. She understood, talked to someone else, and lowered the price back down closer to my 2nd quote (still higher than the original). I would never recommend this company. This was one of the worst experiences of my life. Not just the worst move I've ever had, but one of the worst customer service experiences imaginable. The amount of valuables, family heirlooms, and furniture they damaged is staggering, much of it irreplaceable. Before the move even began, communication was a disaster. I was promised a moving coordinator would contact me a week beforehand. They never did. I had to call the day before my move, and even then the coordinator repeatedly got my two pickup locations wrong. The movers arrived an hour late in a rented Penske truck with little to no packing materials or proper moving equipment. At the first pickup, a 700-square-foot third-floor apartment, they immediately complained about the stairs. My partner and I quickly realized they weren't actually working. Two movers spent long stretches sitting in the truck on their phones while the third spent nearly an hour wrapping a couch that didn't need wrapping instead of protecting fragile items. Despite asking them multiple times to keep moving and properly wrap breakables, they continued wasting time. My partner eventually carried many items from the rooftop down to the first floor himself because otherwise nothing was getting done. They even asked us to help move heavier furniture, which is exactly what we hired them to do. It took them five hours to empty a one-bedroom apartment. At the storage unit, they left belongings sitting in the hallway until I returned to help them. They also completely destroyed a large china cabinet because they didn't wrap or know how to move it. It was damaged beyond repair. After 8.5 hours to move a one-bedroom apartment and a small storage unit, they finally headed to my new home. That's when they informed me my bill had increased to nearly three times the original estimate. Once there, they ignored all instructions about where furniture and boxes belonged, piling nearly everything into one room until it was impossible to walk through. The final straw was when they left much of my heavy furniture sitting on the sidewalk in a downtown neighborhood and then had the audacity to TEXT me asking ME to come help move it. I ended up calling friends, and we finished moving everything they piled on the sidewalk in about 30 minutes, because that's what productivity looks like. To top it all off, they stood on my front steps waiting for a tip. I tipped them only because I wanted them to leave. After spending days fixing their mistakes and unpacking, I discovered even more damage, including: * Vintage Restoration Hardware media console * Vintage Maitland-Smith coffee table (glass top missing) * Three framed artworks * Shelf from my custom-made vitrine * Entire china cabinet * Two planters * Glass shelf frame * Two curtain rods I'm still finding damaged items. All My Sons didn't make my move easier--they made it exponentially harder. I paid professional movers and ended up doing much of the heavy lifting myself while paying nearly three times the quoted price and watching irreplaceable belongings be destroyed. To start communication was poor. Movers showed up with extremely reluctant attitudes and needed us to clear a parking space even though we guaranteed blocking the street was okay through neighbors. we cleared 3 parking spaces after knocking on doors for the movers to then complain about tree branches on a south philly block tree. It seemed to me they did not want to work. After finally agreeing to "hook" them up they started working. The move out from the house was alright.. bad to help the movers myself most of the day including moving the peloton which was listed in our items list from the basement. Luckily I have great experience with moving furniture or this could have been a nightmare. Finally we arrive at the storage space where our items needed to spend a week before we could move into our new place. Here it was a straight shot from the truck to the cube as it was in the first floor. I personally was involved once again with rolling dollys of items to the unit. I witnessed a movers literally running and dropping a bin of glasses upon hitting a bump. Two glasses of fine china broken. I helped in the clean up of course. As we were finishing the worker told me he put us in till 1:30pm even though it was closer to 2pm. I thanked him and then I tipped the men handsomely for having to "deal-with" the parking and the tree and for the half hour he said he gave us of work. DO NOT USE - THEY ARE UNRELIABLE I hired All My Sons Moving for a small move out of a graduate housing apartment to storage. They were helpful and friendly upon booking and collecting my deposit. Their pricing was in line with other quotes I received so I felt they were legit. They told me they would call 2-3 days prior to the move to let me know the moving time. Never heard from them. I finally got a hold of them and was expecting them the following morning. Instead I get a text message the morning of the move " This is all my sons the dispatch dept, I had 2 crews call out sick and we will not be able to make it today..." No phone call from a customer service rep, no apologies - a text message?!! Again hard to get a hold of them but I finally spoke to the dispatcher who couldn't have been more rude, no apologies and basically told me my deposit did not secure anything. When we discussed the possibility of doing the move the next day his comment was he needed me to commit to be put on the schedule as if I changed the move date. The next day we got a text survey to click on the link on why you didn't move with All My Sons moving. We were required to vacate our apartment due to the end of our lease, and this company abandoned us at the last possible moment with all of our belongings packed and nowhere to turn. We were simply told they would not be showing up. When I asked to speak with the owner, the manager, Drew, refused to connect me and stated that the owner would call me in two days. I have texted him multiple times and left a voicemail with no response except to speak Geoff in claims. The company also refuses to let customers speak directly with their executive team, forcing all communication through an internal division that shields them from accountability. I even tried reaching out on LinkedIn to the chief customer officer of all my sons in their corporate office in Texas. The only thing good about All my sons was their availability over the phone and customer service, as well as one of the movers, Allan. Even then, they misquoted the move and told the movers that it was a one bedroom house that would take less then three hours--it was a three bedroom house and the move took 9 hours... Our experience was awful. Out of the three men sent, only one (Allan) was helpful, nice, smart, and overall great. The rest of the movers were complaining the whole time about how much tip they would receive, and having us disassemble simple furniture like desks because they "are just movers" in their own words. Overall, I had to help them disassemble furniture, fold chairs, and help them understand how to do basic tasks. After they were moving things in to the next house, they decided that it was too late to re-assemble certain things. Allan was the star of the show, and if it was not for him, I don't think anything would have gotten done, but overall our experience was terrible. Many things got damaged also but we never reported it because we don't want anyone to get in trouble and understand that moving has its risks. But as the move continued throughout the day something happened. Several boxes were left, my microwave was left, a curio cabinet that I have had for 40 years is missing a top piece. I call back again, this time requesting a moving consultant and the lady gives me the run around with the hold music, says she can't find the number I used for the account or the operations manager... even though I've only given them one phone number, the number I was calling from. MALICIOUS COMPLIANCE!!! Then another lady comes on to tell me to give me the phone number I used for my account because they still cannot find it! I ask maybe they can use my email to look up my account since I also gave an email. She says "no ma'am, I just need the phone number you used for this account". Hello??? It's the number I'm calling from... it's the 21st century, everyone has caller ID... and mind you, they gave me NO RECEIPT for the move. I suspect they do all of this over the phone with no paper trail to try to discredit you when you do report them to your credit company. Zero stars! We hired this company for a simple move for a number of pieces of furniture. Not only did we have multiple items broken, including an antique desk, we also had deep scratches on the dining furniture. We are also missing a piece of artwork, how does one large picture disappear??. They stacked boxes with fragile items on top of each other, 3 and 4 boxes high when they put them in the house. They used a kitchen utility cart to move heavy boxes, and completely destroyed it. They took 1.5 hours lunch, when they were expected to be back on 1 hour. They returned from lunch in what we believe was an "altered state" and completely unfocused. This company really needs to screen who they hire and they need to reimburse clients for very poor service, not just expect them to deal with their insurance company. read more

Movers beware - if I could give a zero star, I would. We booked with All My Sons Moving company to load our belongings, store them overnight, and unload the following day. When they called to confirm the day prior, we were told they couldn't hold our belongings overnight and quote "I can't make a truck appear". I scheduled my move and was in communication with the operations manager multiple times from March all the way through June 26th--we were all set to move on the 27th. As the day went on and I still hadn't received a confirmed arrival time, I reached out via email, text, and phone. It wasn't until 5:00 PM the night before our move that I was finally told--only after I chased them down--that they had cancelled our move because they were "no longer servicing our area." Absolutely Horrible Experience -- Items Stolen and Unprofessional Movers I had an absolutely terrible experience with this moving company. From start to finish, the movers were unprofessional and disrespectful. Two of them were smoking cigarettes on the job, one was on his phone most of the time, and they complained the entire day. The move took over 11 hours, even though I only had them move my belongings to two locations -- a storage unit and my apartment. They completely overstuffed the storage unit to the point where I can't even access anything inside. At the end of the night, I even caught them trying to take bins that weren't meant for donation, and when I stopped them, they gave me an attitude for having to bring them back to my apartment. The worst part is what I discovered afterward: many of my belongings are missing, including designer clothes, solid gold jewelry, couch covers, and pillows. So far, I've estimated about $25,000 worth of missing items -- and I'm still counting. This company is dishonest, unprofessional, and not to be trusted. I would hire literally anyone over ever using this company. They showed up late, charged me WAY over quoted price and damaged not only every single piece of the only bedroom set they moved but also the door frame of the rental causing me to lose my deposit. They were supposed to arrive between 8/9 showed up at 9:45 didn't touch ANYYHING until after 10. My husband showed them every item that we wanted them to move, less than 30 items. Upon arriving at my new home they asked for immediate payment, my mother was the only one there because I had to be at a doctors appointment and agreed to pay 1200 OVER the original quote. I attempted to get this straight and found out they were trying to charge me starting at 8:30 and were planning on staying until 3:30. Keep in mind travel distance was 15mins between locations, so 2,5 hours to load 2.5 hours to unload less than 30 items between 2 people which is outrageously slow. Since the movers were so late (after asking to come early) I was with after discharge care team from the hospital when they finished. After finishing my appointment I went to my bedroom and found every piece of furniture in a location that blocked closet doors/vents/made it unusable. They then piled things in the doorway of my bathroom so I couldn't even get to it with items they were not supposed to touch. Every piece of my bedroom furniture was damaged. At the time I couldn't even walk without a cane from the stroke I had 4 days ago and moving all the items to a functional space was not safe. I also found multiple more pieces they chose to pack and move on their own then charged me for the materials. I went back to the rental I found they destroyed the metal door frame, my landlord noticed this as well we lost our deposit. I spoke with Vinny about all the ludicrous charges and the guys choosing to move at a slower rate than possible and he started yelling at me loud enough my child could hear him 6ft away and he was not on speaker. I asked him multiple times to just change the card number on file I was done arguing with him. He not only would not do that he continued arguing and saying everything was my fault. I finally said just change the fucking card and he hung up on me. I spoke with another man that had no problem just changing the card. I am now disputing all charges with my cardholder as they cost me well over the inflated rates they made up to charge me. I was about to use them to help move our largest furniture to our new place about 30 miles away. I went to their website to request a quote, just to end up getting a phone call from an automated voice asking for more information and much more of my time, which felt slightly aggressive. I know that scummy businesses try to monopolize your time for the sake of hooking you into a bad deal. I mean, I had already provided all the necessary information for a simple quote in the survey. It was just fishy, so out of skepticism I just hung up and called one of my buddies to help me move stuff over Spring Break. I, then, proceeded to receive a phone call a few minutes later from an unknown number. This was instantly followed by a text to complete my quote and call them. However, I thought nothing of it. I had seen something like this before from plenty of companies. I assumed too early. I am not joking when I say that every hour or so, I would receive a phone call and the exact same text. At one point, I just decided to not block the number and see how much it happened. It stopped after work hours, but--after getting to work the next day--around 8:30 AM it started up again. I decided that they were nearly harassing me to complete a quote and use their moving services, so I took to the internet. I looked them up and instantly saw countless reviews across Yelp and Reddit lambasting these people. I don't what Chris Generale is up to, but this company is completely incompetent from what I have seen. I am giving 1 star for their phone harassment campaign to force your cooperation. I can't say that I have used their actual moving services, but just read people's experiences with the actual services and you'll have made up your mind quickly. I needed a large tv moved 3 miles away from my home. Initially quote was $189, flat rate, no mileage or fuel charges. Got a call a while later saying the cost would be $660! Hourly rate for 2 movers @ $189, beginning when they left their building and ending when they returned to their building. read more
