This was one of the worst experiences of my life. Not just the worst move I've ever had, but one of the worst customer service experiences imaginable. The amount of valuables, family heirlooms, and furniture they damaged is staggering, much of it irreplaceable. Before the move even began, communication was a disaster. I was promised a moving coordinator would contact me a week beforehand. They never did. I had to call the day before my move, and even then the coordinator repeatedly got my two pickup locations wrong. The movers arrived an hour late in a rented Penske truck with little to no packing materials or proper moving equipment. At the first pickup, a 700-square-foot third-floor apartment, they immediately complained about the stairs. My partner and I quickly realized they weren't actually working. Two movers spent long stretches sitting in the truck on their phones while the third spent nearly an hour wrapping a couch that didn't need wrapping instead of protecting fragile items. Despite asking them multiple times to keep moving and properly wrap breakables, they continued wasting time. My partner eventually carried many items from the rooftop down to the first floor himself because otherwise nothing was getting done. They even asked us to help move heavier furniture, which is exactly what we hired them to do. It took them five hours to empty a one-bedroom apartment. At the storage unit, they left belongings sitting in the hallway until I returned to help them. They also completely destroyed a large china cabinet because they didn't wrap or know how to move it. It was damaged beyond repair. After 8.5 hours to move a one-bedroom apartment and a small storage unit, they finally headed to my new home. That's when they informed me my bill had increased to nearly three times the original estimate. Once there, they ignored all instructions about where furniture and boxes belonged, piling nearly everything into one room until it was impossible to walk through. The final straw was when they left much of my heavy furniture sitting on the sidewalk in a downtown neighborhood and then had the audacity to TEXT me asking ME to come help move it. I ended up calling friends, and we finished moving everything they piled on the sidewalk in about 30 minutes, because that's what productivity looks like. To top it all off, they stood on my front steps waiting for a tip. I tipped them only because I wanted them to leave. After spending days fixing their mistakes and unpacking, I discovered even more damage, including: * Vintage Restoration Hardware media console * Vintage Maitland-Smith coffee table (glass top missing) * Three framed artworks * Shelf from my custom-made vitrine * Entire china cabinet * Two planters * Glass shelf frame * Two curtain rods I'm still finding damaged items. All My Sons didn't make my move easier--they made it exponentially harder. I paid professional movers and ended up doing much of the heavy lifting myself while paying nearly three times the quoted price and watching irreplaceable belongings be destroyed. DO NOT USE - THEY ARE UNRELIABLE I hired All My Sons Moving for a small move out of a graduate housing apartment to storage. They were helpful and friendly upon booking and collecting my deposit. Their pricing was in line with other quotes I received so I felt they were legit. They told me they would call 2-3 days prior to the move to let me know the moving time. Never heard from them. I finally got a hold of them and was expecting them the following morning. Instead I get a text message the morning of the move " This is all my sons the dispatch dept, I had 2 crews call out sick and we will not be able to make it today..." No phone call from a customer service rep, no apologies - a text message?!! Again hard to get a hold of them but I finally spoke to the dispatcher who couldn't have been more rude, no apologies and basically told me my deposit did not secure anything. When we discussed the possibility of doing the move the next day his comment was he needed me to commit to be put on the schedule as if I changed the move date. The next day we got a text survey to click on the link on why you didn't move with All My Sons moving. Tried to call repeatedly to get back my $100 meaningless deposit of which I am sure I will never see. Makes me question if they are even a legit business or a scam. read more

This review is a mixed bag. The three movers led by Tony were excellent. That's where the positive comments end. We were moving my wife's mother's furniture from her assistant living home to two homes in NJ/PA. We were rushed and didn't read Yelp feedback on this seemly small local moving firm. All My Sons is not a local firm and the estimating and billing part of the company is suspect headed by 3 so called managers, headed by Tim Smith. We were told that our estimate was subject to change post move. That was a lie as the estimate I signed to All My Sons a binding contract. Although they took the Packing Materials off misc. charges were increased with no justification. The time reduction (4 to 3 hours) was not honored. When we asked why we were told that's the price you agreed to - Wrong, a lie. So stay far away from All My Sons when you need a mover. The only thing good about All my sons was their availability over the phone and customer service, as well as one of the movers, Allan. Even then, they misquoted the move and told the movers that it was a one bedroom house that would take less then three hours--it was a three bedroom house and the move took 9 hours... Our experience was awful. Out of the three men sent, only one (Allan) was helpful, nice, smart, and overall great. The rest of the movers were complaining the whole time about how much tip they would receive, and having us disassemble simple furniture like desks because they "are just movers" in their own words. Overall, I had to help them disassemble furniture, fold chairs, and help them understand how to do basic tasks. After they were moving things in to the next house, they decided that it was too late to re-assemble certain things. Allan was the star of the show, and if it was not for him, I don't think anything would have gotten done, but overall our experience was terrible. Many things got damaged also but we never reported it because we don't want anyone to get in trouble and understand that moving has its risks. Our move was scheduled for 8:00 AM, and at 8:15 AM, after we had already been waiting, we received a call informing us that they would not be coming. No advance notice. No contingency plan. No attempt to make the situation right. This left our family completely stranded on moving day. We were required to vacate our apartment due to the end of our lease, and this company abandoned us at the last possible moment with all of our belongings packed and nowhere to turn. What was even more disappointing was the complete lack of support that followed. No alternative crews were offered. No referrals. No meaningful assistance whatsoever. We were simply told they would not be showing up. When I asked to speak with the owner, the manager, Drew, refused to connect me and stated that the owner would call me in two days. As a business owner myself, I was shocked by the lack of accountability and customer service. When your company creates an emergency for a customer, the least you can do is make yourself available and work toward a solution. Please don't take the chances that I did and use this company. You'll be very sorry. I hired All My Sons for what should have been a simple, professionally handled move within Pennsylvania. Instead, the company sent a crew from their New Jersey branch, and from the moment they arrived, the situation was unacceptable. The movers smelled strongly of weed, and the odor was so overwhelming that it transferred onto my belongings, the moving blankets, and into my home. Despite being quoted $1,500 for a move that originally included far more items than we ultimately needed moved, the crew stalled for hours, took an unreasonable amount of time to get set up, and barely worked. They attempted to charge us $200 per hour for 12 hours to move fewer than ten pieces of furniture and no boxes--time that was inflated entirely due to their own lack of productivity. They even took apart furniture unnecessarily, removing every screw they could find, and then struggled to reassemble anything, which appeared to be a deliberate tactic to keep the clock running. They refused to allow me to inspect my furniture after they brought it in. They were holding my furniture in their truck until I provided the person on the phone with a credit card to pay for the move. By 10 p.m., exhausted and frustrated, we had no choice but to let them leave. My husband and I ended up moving most of the furniture ourselves, unwrapping and assembling items they were supposed to handle. The next day, we had to take two cars and make multiple trips just to move basic items like totes and clothing bags--items we specifically hired them to move. Damage Discovered - In daylight, the true extent of the damage became clear. The movers had: * Drilled holes through three credenzas, including over ten holes on the wrong side of two of them * Split a 500+ lb wooden and marble credenza by placing it on its side on a dolly instead of carrying it properly * Stained my couch * Broken a $1,500 art piece * Scratched $1,200 chairs Their lack of training and care was obvious, and their behavior raised serious concerns about whether they were under the influence while handling our property. Claims Process & Geoff Burgess I filed a claim for nearly $10,000 in damages, providing receipts, photos, and videos--evidence the company was aware of from the moment the damage occurred. Since my move at the end of December, I have been going back and forth with All My Sons for months. It is now March, and they have: * Refused to settle * Refused to explain their employees' behavior * Refused to address the lack of training or drug testing * Refused to replace or compensate me for the extensive damage The claims representative, Geoff Burgess, has been a complete roadblock. He: * Refuses to review any of the material proof * Refuses to provide documentation * Refuses to acknowledge the severity of the damage * Blocks any attempt to escalate the issue I even tried going to his supervisor and to customer service, and no one will do anything. Every path leads back to Geoff, who simply repeats the same scripted denial. Their final response was that their insurance would only cover $644 under "limited liability," and they refused to refund the $1,500 I paid for the move. The local NJ operations manager initially told me he would speak with his partner and call me back. He never did. I have texted him multiple times and left a voicemail with no response except to speak Geoff in claims. The company also refuses to let customers speak directly with their executive team, forcing all communication through an internal division that shields them from accountability. I even tried reaching out on LinkedIn to the chief customer officer of all my sons in their corporate office in Texas. Conclusion - This company's behavior is unacceptable, and their pattern of ignoring customers, denying valid claims, and hiding behind internal processes is exactly why they have low ratings on Google, Yelp, and the Better Business Bureau. Be AWARE All My Sons' moving company is Unreliable 100%!!!! We used Yelp to find reliable moving companies in the area and there were about 3 that contacted us within a few hours. All My Sons company representative called, gave us an estimated cost and after a quick assessment we agreed on having the movers come on Saturday May 30th. 2026. She charged our credit card for a deposit, and told us that a dispatcher will call us with an estimated time their guys and truck would be picking up our household effects. On Thursday May 28th at 11:38 am they sent us a link to complete our inventory by 2 pm. At 2:09 pm they left a message with the excuse that because they were overbooked and did not have our inventory, they were unable to do our scheduled pre-paid (deposit) move. Later they sent another estimated cost and changed the date up to their convenience without considering that we booked for an end of the month weekend and they rescheduled us for a beginning of next month weekday. The afternoon before our move, we called the company to figure out their arrival time on Saturday, to our surprise Drew R...... told us that they were unable to have their crew doing our movement on Saturday. We requested to speak with a manager and the manager did not feel comfortable providing us his last name, all he was comfortable to share was his first name which is supposed to be Michael, he needs intensive customer service training or change trade services. He is supposed to fix the problems, not to make them bigger. He yelled at us like it was our fault for not checking the message they left cancelling the Saturday move and saying they were OVERBOOKED and their first available was 4 days later. At the end while we were asking for a refund of our deposit and all we got was Michael hanging up the phone call, without either an apology, or a resolution. Nine weeks later we hadn't received our refund. All my Son's moving, lacks accountability and respect for their customers. Due to work we have moved worldwide to nine different countries, we are used to dealt with moving\companies in the USA, Africa, Europe, Eurasia, and Latin America; it is with knowledge and experience of the services provided that even third world countries are far superior than the services provided from All My Sons moving company. Their lack of responsibility and accountability developed a chain of events and extra charges that not only added to our stress but also to our finances. I have been in and out of hospital since my move so I have not been able to leave a review. My move started out good, the gentlemen were very nice and respectful. But as the move continued throughout the day something happened. Several boxes were left, my microwave was left, a curio cabinet that I have had for 40 years is missing a top piece. I had 4 2x4's on my vanity that were taped together that attach my mirrors to my dresser they are missing. I don't understand because the move started out good. I call back again, this time requesting a moving consultant and the lady gives me the run around with the hold music, says she can't find the number I used for the account or the operations manager... even though I've only given them one phone number, the number I was calling from. MALICIOUS COMPLIANCE!!! Then another lady comes on to tell me to give me the phone number I used for my account because they still cannot find it! I ask maybe they can use my email to look up my account since I also gave an email. She says "no ma'am, I just need the phone number you used for this account". Hello??? It's the number I'm calling from... it's the 21st century, everyone has caller ID... and mind you, they gave me NO RECEIPT for the move. I suspect they do all of this over the phone with no paper trail to try to discredit you when you do report them to your credit company. First they told me they could not fit my stuff in the truck. So I said please put what you cannot fit in the garage. I left them to take care of personal business. Zero stars! We hired this company for a simple move for a number of pieces of furniture. Not only did we have multiple items broken, including an antique desk, we also had deep scratches on the dining furniture. We are also missing a piece of artwork, how does one large picture disappear??. They stacked boxes with fragile items on top of each other, 3 and 4 boxes high when they put them in the house. They used a kitchen utility cart to move heavy boxes, and completely destroyed it. They took 1.5 hours lunch, when they were expected to be back on 1 hour. They returned from lunch in what we believe was an "altered state" and completely unfocused. This company really needs to screen who they hire and they need to reimburse clients for very poor service, not just expect them to deal with their insurance company. read more

Movers beware - if I could give a zero star, I would. We booked with All My Sons Moving company to load our belongings, store them overnight, and unload the following day. When they called to confirm the day prior, we were told they couldn't hold our belongings overnight and quote "I can't make a truck appear". After working with our agent to re-work our closing, we were confirmed to do exactly as we were led to believe (as stated above), with movers arriving to load the truck between 8-10am the following morning. 10:30 rolls around, my wife calls to check on arrival time, only to be told at that time that they are CANCELLING OUR JOB... day of our move. I scheduled my move and was in communication with the operations manager multiple times from March all the way through June 26th--we were all set to move on the 27th. As the day went on and I still hadn't received a confirmed arrival time, I reached out via email, text, and phone. It wasn't until 5:00 PM the night before our move that I was finally told--only after I chased them down--that they had cancelled our move because they were "no longer servicing our area." Let that sink in: No heads-up. No courtesy call. Nothing. If I hadn't followed up multiple times, I would have been left completely in the dark. What makes this even worse? I had just spoken with their Director of Operations that Monday, who assured me everything was confirmed--we were just waiting on a finalized arrival time. Absolutely Horrible Experience -- Items Stolen and Unprofessional Movers I had an absolutely terrible experience with this moving company. From start to finish, the movers were unprofessional and disrespectful. Two of them were smoking cigarettes on the job, one was on his phone most of the time, and they complained the entire day. The move took over 11 hours, even though I only had them move my belongings to two locations -- a storage unit and my apartment. They completely overstuffed the storage unit to the point where I can't even access anything inside. At the end of the night, I even caught them trying to take bins that weren't meant for donation, and when I stopped them, they gave me an attitude for having to bring them back to my apartment. The worst part is what I discovered afterward: many of my belongings are missing, including designer clothes, solid gold jewelry, couch covers, and pillows. So far, I've estimated about $25,000 worth of missing items -- and I'm still counting. This company is dishonest, unprofessional, and not to be trusted. I was about to use them to help move our largest furniture to our new place about 30 miles away. I went to their website to request a quote, just to end up getting a phone call from an automated voice asking for more information and much more of my time, which felt slightly aggressive. I know that scummy businesses try to monopolize your time for the sake of hooking you into a bad deal. I mean, I had already provided all the necessary information for a simple quote in the survey. It was just fishy, so out of skepticism I just hung up and called one of my buddies to help me move stuff over Spring Break. I, then, proceeded to receive a phone call a few minutes later from an unknown number. This was instantly followed by a text to complete my quote and call them. However, I thought nothing of it. I had seen something like this before from plenty of companies. I assumed too early. I am not joking when I say that every hour or so, I would receive a phone call and the exact same text. At one point, I just decided to not block the number and see how much it happened. It stopped after work hours, but--after getting to work the next day--around 8:30 AM it started up again. I decided that they were nearly harassing me to complete a quote and use their moving services, so I took to the internet. I looked them up and instantly saw countless reviews across Yelp and Reddit lambasting these people. I don't what Chris Generale is up to, but this company is completely incompetent from what I have seen. I am giving 1 star for their phone harassment campaign to force your cooperation. I can't say that I have used their actual moving services, but just read people's experiences with the actual services and you'll have made up your mind quickly. I would hire literally anyone over ever using this company. They showed up late, charged me WAY over quoted price and damaged not only every single piece of the only bedroom set they moved but also the door frame of the rental causing me to lose my deposit. They were supposed to arrive between 8/9 showed up at 9:45 didn't touch ANYYHING until after 10. My husband showed them every item that we wanted them to move, less than 30 items. Upon arriving at my new home they asked for immediate payment, my mother was the only one there because I had to be at a doctors appointment and agreed to pay 1200 OVER the original quote. I attempted to get this straight and found out they were trying to charge me starting at 8:30 and were planning on staying until 3:30. Keep in mind travel distance was 15mins between locations, so 2,5 hours to load 2.5 hours to unload less than 30 items between 2 people which is outrageously slow. Since the movers were so late (after asking to come early) I was with after discharge care team from the hospital when they finished. After finishing my appointment I went to my bedroom and found every piece of furniture in a location that blocked closet doors/vents/made it unusable. They then piled things in the doorway of my bathroom so I couldn't even get to it with items they were not supposed to touch. Every piece of my bedroom furniture was damaged. At the time I couldn't even walk without a cane from the stroke I had 4 days ago and moving all the items to a functional space was not safe. I also found multiple more pieces they chose to pack and move on their own then charged me for the materials. I went back to the rental I found they destroyed the metal door frame, my landlord noticed this as well we lost our deposit. I spoke with Vinny about all the ludicrous charges and the guys choosing to move at a slower rate than possible and he started yelling at me loud enough my child could hear him 6ft away and he was not on speaker. I asked him multiple times to just change the card number on file I was done arguing with him. He not only would not do that he continued arguing and saying everything was my fault. I finally said just change the fucking card and he hung up on me. I spoke with another man that had no problem just changing the card. I also spoke with a Tom with all the issues he said to email him then never said anything back. I am now disputing all charges with my cardholder as they cost me well over the inflated rates they made up to charge me. Requested a quote online. Within a matter of minutes was bombarded with text messages from their affiliates. I called the office twice to request that I be removed from their list to be hung up on. It is disheartening to call for a simple quote to be harassed by others. Then to call to voice this and be hung up on tells me everything that I need to know and will take my business elsewhere. read more

There was miscommunication with the company and the movers about what needed to be moved so they weren't happy when they had to move additional boxes. I was also surprised when at the end they told me it was a 2 hour minimum (even though it took them just over an hour) in addition to the flat rate + hourly rate so it was more expensive then I was originally told. That being said... they packed my stuff into a U-Haul and during my travels I was in an accident that tipped the truck and not a single one of my belongings (including wine glasses) broke, so they did a good job packing the truck! read more

Absolutely horrible. They will break furniture and damage items. They destroy your home on the way out. And then they "hide" behind their nonsense one-sided contract. If you care about your move, avoid, avoid, avoid this company at all costs. read more

I had All My Sons move me from 2nd floor apartment to a senior living. Jim and Sherman did an amazing job, was on time, wrapped mattress, couch, table was careful with every item. They moved fast got the job moving out and moving in to new place, made the move easy for me. Such a pleasure having these two men do such a fine job. Thank you Jim and Sherman. read more

I received a quote for a very small move of $149/hour for 2 men. I spoke to a few different people and was told that price from all of them. Spoke with someone via Yelp who offered 10% off of that price. I thought this was great and I moved forward, confirmed several times with the person on the phone that this would be the price I would receive and gave $100 deposit. Fast forward to today when I received the written quote that was much higher of an hourly rate than what was discussed and the 10% off wasn't included. Someone was texting me about the move so I reached out to them and explained what the price was supposed to be and he did push through the 10% off but still at the much higher rate as he said via text "the hourly rate on change on my end do to your system being old". This made no sense, and I asked a few other questions over a period of an hour this morning. I never received a response from this person. I called the office and when I explained what happened, he didn't even apologize or offer any fix. I canceled my move. I should have listened to the terrible reviews on here! Thankfully I didn't move forward with them as I see many did and were taken advantage of. I called another company and received GREAT customer service and received a prompt quote at a much lower rate to start. And they have great reviews! read more

I will never use this service again! Buyers beware. I originally prepaid for 1.5hours and was told they don't do that, yet it was approved the day before. The one mover, Jason, spent a good half hour arguing with me over the timing of the service and threatened to end services when I asked a question. Customer service was very hard to get in touch with. One of my items was scratched up and they used pillows to cover up the damage. Then I saw the same person that argued with me smoking during the time I was using their service just to make it over 1 hour mark. It was so bad I had to leave the area. To make matters worse, the storage place I was using was less than 0.5 miles away. And they finished before the timing was done. Take heed. I would give them zero stars if I could. read more
