This is a mens clothing shop on 54th in SoBro. Parking is somewhat limited. If your looking for casual wear that you're not going to see in the typical mall stores, this place is for you. Stan was managing the store on my visit. Stan was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Two things caught my eye, the selection of socks and the quality of the shirts. Stitch Note is a brand that I had not heard of before this trip. I like them because they had Egyptian Cotton and they were slim cut. I will visit this store again. read more

I was in Indy this past weekend for a wedding. My boyfriend and I drove down from Chicago with another couple and arrived with just 2 hours before the ceremony. Upon unpacking, my boyfriend realized his suit pants didn't make it from Chicago. They went "'mysteriously missing". We were in crisis mode. I'm like you're not wearing jeans to this black tie optional wedding. The thought of going to Nordstrom at Keystone sounded chaotic and stressful. We searched Yelp for men's clothing and saw Heritage Clothier as #1. Going to shoot you straight here... I did NOT have high expectations for this place. A men's clothing store in...Indy...maybe I'm a big city shopping snob. However, upon walking in I was PLEASANTLY surprised and instantly knew our crisis would be averted. The owners are fabulous - Kent and Stan took over and next thing I knew, not only did my boyfriend leave the store with THREE new pairs of pants, but the other guy we came with purchased a pair of pants too (yet he actually remembered his pants in the first place). The store's ambience was on brand with Rose Apothecary from Schitt's Creek. It not only has men's clothes but offers masculine candles, belts, socks, accessories galore. Ever need something unique, something you don't want to see on a lot of other people - well this is the place! From frames to shoes, they have an amazing selection. I first stumbled on Kent and Stan in Key West, FL. They had an amazing selection of bathing suites and aviation themed shirts. Since I work for an airline of course I had to stop. When they said they were coming back to Indiana I was so excited for what they were going to do and the store has never disappointed! My husband and I love to travel and we always stop at Heritage to find something special to wear. These guys have an eye for design! Their clothing is so unique. You can find items that look throw back and modern all at the same time. Their selection of accessories is amazing. I have many items hanging in my closet. In fact, as I write this review I am realizing I have on 2 items I purchased from Heritage. So what makes this place amazing besides the selection - their eye for detail. The material many of their items are made from is like nothing I can find in an store. The count, the feel, the wear - it's that detail I appreciate and why I keep going back. Although it sells men's clothing there are a number of other items for everyone. The selection of bar items, frames, socks - fun for all! I have to say men's boutiques in Indianapolis do it right. Newbie Heritage Clothier and Home is no exception. Classic but on trend jeans, shirts and underpinnings abound within these woody walls. I kind of want to live there. The home goods are an as expected cocktail accoutrements with a bit of bedding and lovely décor. The college and state embroidered pillows have just the right retro feel whist being contemporarily large.The only hint of pink is a his and hers striped pajama set (hers being pink natch) Great place for gifts. Check out the real rock whisky dispenser, bet you don't have one of those! The owner claims lots of women buy the clothes to wear themselves, which I can totally envision. I've stopped in here a few times now and each time am pleased with the selection. There always seems to be something else added that ranges from local home goods to quality men's clothing. They have a massive selection of Penguin clothing which is a favorite of mine. One area of growth here is that the shoes are priced pretty steep. They're nice! But are also carried elsewhere in the city for much less. Will totally be back! read more
