    First and foremost Aimee is absolutely incredible and we have absolutely no doubt our wedding would not have been the best day of our lives without her! I spent many months poring over every review site I could find to look for wedding coordinators (NOT planners). My fiance and I are high school sweethearts and we had been planning our special day for a long time...and THEN covid hit and we had to postpone our wedding an entire year. I had a strong vision for our wedding and considered myself very organized. From the first meeting with Aimee we were immediately calmed by her professionalism, extensive experience and warm and friendly personality. We also loved learning about her involvement and passion for sustainability in the wedding industry. We hired Aimee and it was 100% THE BEST DECISION WE MADE! As our coordinator the value Aimee added was invaluable. Our wedding venue was a nice hotel in Santa Cruz but (due to covid) had a TON of lack of communication. Aimee was there every step of the way to help navigate and advise us. The last 4 weeks Aimee completely took over and handled ALL communication with vendors coordinating with our venue. She took all of the communication off our plate and it was the biggest relief so we could spend the weeks leading up spending time together...stress free! Day of we had a lot of little things that ultimately turned into big things ( covid testing checklist, last minute issues with venue, and helping make sure each item we brought went to the correct place). Aimee's organization and communication were clear and absolutely essential to everything coming together. We trusted Aimee 100% to help make our wedding day perfect for us and she and her team delivered! We were so thankful she had our back every step of the way. Throughout the 18 months we worked together Aimee's communication level was great. She held onto our vision and we were so thankful. She also had a ton of great ideas for us to implement like ordering everyone Mcdonalds after the wedding... HUGE HIT! Aimee was so valuable, experienced and professional. If you are considering booking with Aimee DO NOT HESITATE she is wonderful and has become a lifelong friend.

    Where do I start. I suppose I'll get the most important part of the review out of the way first: Aimee and Jake are simply AMAZING! I cannot express enough how much we valued having Aimee coordinate our wedding. Above being a warm and friendly person to be around, she worked with us to make our wedding a very personal event, anticipated our guests' needs, and helped us to craft a unique and unforgettable destination wedding weekend. We had so many comments from our guests that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Now onto the details. My husband and I are Americans living in the UK. We planned a destination wedding weekend at Mt. Rainier, Washington. Being University professors, we like to think/pretend that we are fairly organized people, but planning a wedding from thousands of miles away brings a whole host of difficulties. However, Aimee really helped us bring all the pieces together. She was there for us from the beginning of our planning, to dancing the night away at our wedding, to eating pizza and roasting smores at the day-after party. One of the things that I most appreciated about Aimee is that she kept us grounded and focused on what was important. It is so, so easy to get carried away with wedding planning, feeling overwhelmed and pressured to have the most Pintrest-worthy event, to think that if you don't make every little detail perfect then you will be harshly judged by the wedding gods. But Aimee always reminded us to focus on what was meaningful, the reason for our event, how we wanted the weekend to FEEL, and how to let little things go because they constituted unnecessary stress. Aimee also worked with us to build a timeline that worked to not only make our wedding weekend run smoothly, but she developed a plan to help us slow down and enjoy the week leading up to the wedding. For example, we had scheduled in a date night for my husband and I, and another night for us to take our parents out to dinner. As we did a fair amount of DIY, requiring help from our families, it made everything run much more smoothly to have each day planned, with everyone's tasks assigned in advance. All of this really took a lot of stress out the craziness that is inevitable in the days leading up to a wedding, and we actually had so much fun! It was a bonding experience with our families, and it made the wedding so much more than just a single day. When it came to the actual event, Aimee was professional and kept everyone organized, including our crazy families as well as the vendors. She also brought her partner, Jake, who helped with coordinating the weekend, including working with our vendors in the week leading up to the wedding. By the way, Jake is also AMAZING! He became part of the family that weekend. He was professional while also letting loose when appropriate. Having Aimee and Jake meant that my husband and I got to enjoy ourselves without having to worry about all the coordination. Before walking down the aisle, I danced and sang with my brothers, laughed with my bridesmaids, was ready EARLY, and really felt so full of joy. And this is because I knew Aimee and Jake had everything covered. Their hard work allowed me and my husband to be present in the moment and to enjoy the time we had with our guests. If you are looking for someone who will work with you to craft a wedding that speaks to the uniqueness of you and your partner, I would highly recommend Aimee. She may sometimes tell you that you may want to cut out that little detail that you've been staying awake thinking about for two weeks, but it is for your own good. She will help you focus on the details that matter, and she understands how to create an experience for you and your guests that you won't forget. She will push you to SLOW down so that you can soak up all the joy and love that you will be surrounded by, making your wedding so much more than just a 'special day'. And Jake will make sure that you don't have to lift a finger on your wedding day!

    Our Todos Santos destination wedding was an absolute magical and beautiful dream come true! Our dream was made possible due to the hard work and vision of Aimée Newlander with Wedding by Aimée. Aimée recognized our needs and values from the very start, and then she enhanced them with her extensive expertise in destination and 'slow' weddings. She provided us with excellent options for sustainable and local vendors in the Todos Santos area. For example, Aimée sourced hand-made, authentic pottery from a local artisan family for our wedding. Early on, Aimée identified our respect for nature and animals in our relationship and recommended locally made traditional Mexican animal bud vases for our dinning floral design and guest mementos. The end product was absolutely gorgeous and perfect in regard to aesthetics and our values. It warms our hearts that we supported a rural local artisan family through our union. Our wedding was also unique because we had two combined ceremonies. We had a "western" ceremony and a traditional Persian ceremony with a 'Sofre'. Aimée played a pivotal role in the coordination of the ceremony with our family and our vendors. Our photographer, also a Todos Santos local, captured both ceremonies beautifully and even used a drone to get great overview shots of the venue and landscape! Throughout the whole planning process Aimée was always so warm, respectful, and genuine and her communication was consistently clear and effective. She also amazed us by her deep thoughtfulness, respect, and extremely close attention to our words and needs. We sometimes felt as though she was reading our minds! She made us feel confident and reassured throughout the whole process. Planning a destination wedding is no easy feat and we are so grateful that we found Weddings by Aimée at the start of our wedding journey. Aimée went out of her way on many occasions to have impromptu meetings with our wedding venue, who unfortunately was short staffed during most of our planning process. She put in the extra time needed for coordination and effective communication with this vendor. We can't fully emphasize our gratitude and satisfaction with Weddings by Aimee in words. We highly recommend Weddings by Aimée!

    We're absolutely speechless Not only did she capture our vision for our elopement in the best possible way but she made us feel loved and at ease from the very first video call all the way to the ceremony. She matched us perfectly with the vendors she found for us and graciously got everyone on the same page. During the big day she took great command of the day and made sure that everything would unfold just as we had planned. We are super grateful that Aimée made our dream come true and feel that we have also made a friend for life.     My wife and I looked for the perfect venue for awhile. We wanted to get married in the woods. When we came across Green Oaks Creek Farm, we were put in touch with Aimée and Sarah. We couldn't be more grateful for these two and the entire team at Weddings by Aimée. They took care of us and problem solved throughout the planning process. Aimée and Sarah are incredibly thoughtful and were caring when the stress came on. They made it our time. Our day was beautiful. The decor was exceptional and the evidence is in the details. There are no words, and many of our friends have said it was the best wedding they've been to.     Aimee planned my multiple day event for my wedding at waterfall lodge and retreat and she nailed it! she was tasked with a hugeeee vision that she helped rein in and delivered on so many levels personally and professionally. when planning a wedding (ours was a 1 year 9 mo process) and Aimee was with us every step of the way - a long planning process and she gave us her all the whole time. on a personal level, she is a joy to work with- she kept me balanced, was so positive and reassuring and just was a calming force in what sometimes feels like a huge storm. she worked with myself and the groom and knew our strengths and weaknesses (mine was staying in budget :) ) and knew how to approach everything delicate but professional and let's get it done attitude! On professional level, she handled all the vendors, being the communication and voice for us- always advocating for our best interest. our wedding was a huge production on a logistical challenging venue and she made sure every area was how we envisioned with multiple vendors involved. her strategy for budgeting was helpful and kept us on task for deadlines. i could of not had this wonderful wedding without Aimee and highly recommend to any brides with big visions- she's your planner! enjoy!

    We were so happy we went with Aimee as our wedding coordinator! She is a tremendously kind and caring individual, who always had time for us, and genuinely wanted the best for our wedding day. She was attentive, organized, and listened well to our vision to come up with a plan that fit our style and personality. She had excellent advice, recommending things we would have never thought of on our own. Things that were not even related to the wedding day itself, but how to handle our time and get the most enjoyment out of the days leading up to and days following the wedding. We took her advice and it was perfect. We wanted someone that was organized, and we got that for sure, but her advice on how to enjoy ourselves and our wedding week were such a surprise and a real gift we will never forget. The day of was so incredibly organized, and Aimee was wonderfully prepared. Our timeline went off as planned without a hitch, and it all happened in such a natural way. It didn't feel like the day was forced - more that there was this natural flow from one event to the next. We were both so at ease and really able to be totally present and enjoy the day to the fullest without worrying if things were going to go as planned.     My husband and I met Aimee at a venue we checked out in Capitola and fell in love with her straightaway. We wanted to get married at the venue we toured with her just so we could work with her! Even after we decided to get married in Berkeley, I kept going back to Aimee in my mind. No one had gotten married in my family in close to 20 years, so I had a lot of anxiety about trying to plan a wedding on my own and we knew we would need professional help if we wanted to stay within our budget. So we decided to see if Aimee would coordinate our wedding up in the Bay Area and she said yes! In the hour I spent with Aimee at our preliminary meeting, she made me feel like all my anxieties could be folded up into perfectly manageable pieces and that everything was going to be alright. She takes the time to get to know you, why you love each other and want to get hitched, and your family background. She listens to you and really tries to understand what is important to you. She is incredibly easy going and easy to be around. Her vendor recommendations are solid. She was mindful of our budget throughout the entire process. You can't help but feel confident that everything will come together because she exudes confidence in even the most stressful situations! Everything else aside, what really shone through was how Aimee did everything she could to help out and keep me sane the week of our wedding. The day of our rehearsal she shuttled my MOH to run errands because she could sense I needed some alone time. She kept texting to make sure I'd eaten (sounds funny but you will forget!). She came to our rehearsal dinner so she could meet my family and get to know all their faces and quirks before the big day. She kept my mother calm when I broke it to her that we could not get mariachis with 24 hours' notice (if you only knew). She made my Dad & I laugh right before we walked down the aisle when I thought I might barf from nerves. She managed our vendors with the greatest of ease. She was prepared when none of us were. She was awesome. I don't get married a lot, so I don't have anything to compare her to, but I can say with confidence that our day went 100% more smoothly because she was there taking care of everything. Anything I thought of - she was already one step ahead! When my husband and I look back on our wedding, the one thing we agree on without question is that hiring Aimee was the best money we ever spent. Everyone told us how great a job she did and how much they loved her. I wish I could plan a wedding every year so I could hang out with her all the time! Pssst...Here's the recipe for the best wedding day ever: Hire Aimee as your wedding coordinator, Frederick James Luxuries as your florist, Kim Holloway to make you beautiful and Simply Bliss Catering to feed everyone. It's normal and every event has them. The magic, though, is that LJ will make sure you never know. Throughout the year plus of planning, she kept us calm, focused and answered every single frantic email and question we had. We're a bit of an uptight group so there were lots : ) LJ was a HUGE help as we sorted out our vision and what we wanted -- and then followed through flawlessly on bringing that vision to life. She has an incredible eye for design and was instrumental in creating a beautiful setting that matched our vision at both the ceremony and the reception. One of my favorite things about LJ is that she always shared her opinion when asked, and when she disagreed or thought another option may be better than the direction we were headed, she'd respectfully share her point of view and get us back on track -- but I always felt like she respected what we wanted and supported it. All the vendors she recommended were AMAZING. She was straightforward with cost and how vendors stacked up against the competition. Even though she had relationships with many people in the industry, I always felt like she had our best interest in mind and represented us incredibly accurately and well. We paid extra for her to serve as point person for several shuttle buses. This was well worth it in that LJ created and delivered the complicated schedule as well as communicated with the drivers on the big day. What a load off! LJ provided a range of suggestions to make sure we understood our options (for example, for the Groom's Cake she suggested everything from an elaborate cake from a local artisanal bakery to Safeway and everything in between!), but when we just wanted her to handle something and not be weighed down by choices, she executed things flawlessly (such as delivering our welcome bags all over the Monterey Peninsula the day before the wedding!). On the day of, we had nothing to worry about -- everything that was within her control turned out flawlessly. She also navigated tricky situations with our on-site venue contact, who was a bit challenging to work with, and did a great job at managing her to make sure we had the day we envisioned. I was constantly impressed by her positive and calming attitude, grounding presence, creative vision and her ability to manage complex and emotionally charged situations. She was patient and understanding when we had last-minute changes and always snapped into action when we needed her to. I would definitely recommend LJ as a wedding planner/day-of coordinator! We couldn't have done it without her!

On the day of my wedding, the reception setup was exactly as I had imagined--floating candles and my favorite flowers, baby's breath, creating a magical forest-inspired atmosphere. There was a small hiccup when my wedding cake arrived--it looked beautiful, but the color palette wasn't quite what I had envisioned unfortunately. However, Rebecca worked her magic with her own dried flowers, and I ended up with a completely new cake that was a much better match for the theme. We hired Paige about a year and a half before our wedding date, and we had absolutely no idea where to start. Throughout the entire process, Paige was patient with our questions, enthusiastic to help us achieve our goals and our outlandish ideas (whilst also helping us keep realistic on what was possible) and always went the extra mile to ensure the process was as smooth as possible for us. Paige managed all of the vendor communications for us, which was a massive help whilst we juggled our full-time jobs and other commitments. Reflecting on the experience now, there is no way we could have found our vendors (who were absolutely phenomenal and largely sourced and recommended by Paige's expertise) and managed the communication with them half as well as she did for us. She kept the entire wedding planning progressing, helped us work through difficult challenges as they arose, and became our number one confidant and trusted friend throughout the process. On the wedding day itself, Paige was incredible. She was like a blur being everywhere at once, making sure guests, vendors and ourselves were properly cared for throughout the day (she brought us food and drinks, learned how to weave our table decorations (literally because I saw it on Pinterest), fluffed my train... she literally did it all!!). There was absolutely nothing we had to worry about or "sort" on the day as her team had everything completely in hand. She was incredibly professional and continued to go above and beyond for us, and we never once saw her without a beaming smile. It's clear that Paige loves her job, and she invests every ounce of passion into ensuring her clients weddings are world class. Paige is the most down-to-earth, bubbly and supportive wedding planners we could have ever have hoped for. I am SO grateful for all of the wisdom, time and passion and patience she shared with us. Both of us are extremely busy re: our jobs and knew that we wouldn't be able to dedicate enough time to truly planning an event of this scale. If you're on the fence, go with Amazae. My husband, before we hired Amazae, was on the fence of whether or not we needed planning services. I told him that if we did not hire someone that there would be no wedding. By the time we had finished our venue search, he knew that I was totally right re: the amount of help you get by leveraging someone else's expertise. You do this once (hopefully) in your life. Amazae does this all the time. Amazae knew all the ins and outs of every venue that we could possibly think of in the Bay Area, Carmel, and Napa. They were able to tell us who was beer and wine only, who had a 10pm end time because of noise ordinances, and who required you to use certain caterers that were $x per head. This will save you SO much time and save you visits to random places that don't meet your requirements. Vendor sourcing - they are super good at this re: figuring out (or making you figure out what you like) who matches your style for every vendor, then finding one that fits in your budget. Most importantly, they will make sure everyone shows up (join any wedding FB group and read some horror stories). They will help you with all of the contracting and the collection of COIs, etc. Again, this would have been IMPOSSIBLE for myself and my now husband. We literally do not have the hours in the day to do this. This team is on top of everything - they will chase you down if they need to for answers for pieces of your event. They can make anything happen - from the weirdest requests to the most mundane. They are so professional, and they really make your wedding super personal. Amazae designed and executed a beautiful event from beginning to end that felt so authentic to us. Day of, they were there to take care of everything, and it was truly a flawless day. We could not asked for a better planner re: Crystal, Kaila, and the rest of the team. We put full trust in them re: the design of this event and the day of. Example: I honestly did not know what florals were going to be there, but they were so stunning. The strength of the Amazae team is in their ability to bring you and your personality into an event that is mostly structured a certain way. They also make your day as stress-free as possible. I cannot say enough positive things about this team and their ability to make your wedding great. If you're down to hand things off to someone else, I would say hand it off to them. It will be better than what you could have come up with yourself.

    Planning a wedding during a pandemic is hard, even a micro-wedding. You don't want to be cake…read moretasting or menu tasting, so you rely on experts. That's why we decided to hire an event planner for our daughter's wedding in January 2021. Even though it was a small backyard wedding, we wanted it to be memorable and elegant. We interviewed 3 different event planners, and got 3 rough quotes, all around the same ballpark. Amazae's quote, however, was the most detailed, breaking down a high & low range for each item (food, florals, rentals, photography, etc.) It was an easy choice to contract with them. Crystal came onsite for our first meeting, and I really didn't have a lot for her to go on. My daughter isn't the Pinterest type, so I just told Crystal the wedding colors and showed her pictures of the wedding gown and bridesmaid gowns. The rest of the planning was all done via zoom, emails, and a few phone calls. We worked mostly with Caitlin, who is an amazing planner. Each step along the way, she gave us several options to choose from. For example, she provided a list of 4 photographers, their quote for the day, their profile, their gallery, etc. Once all of our choices were made, she put together a design deck that gave us a preview of the entire wedding. It was more gorgeous than I envisioned. On the day of the wedding, Lisa came out to set everything up. She even picked up the florals and wedding cake to save us the delivery fees. It was a little hectic when I met her, and I probably spent 5 minutes with her showing her where everything was before we left for the church ceremony. And when we came back, she was driving off, leaving behind a magical transformation of yard. Everyone was stunned. The catering crew then took over and prepared a "Top Chef" level meal. And when they left, my kitchen was as clean as when they arrived. My husband commented, "Whatever we paid for this wedding, it was worth every penny." Haha. True. We were kindly welcomed by Leah and introduced to our planner, Yoko, who was amazing, carefully guiding and making our vision a reality, accommodating our preferences and budget, and helping us with the design and layout of the big day with all of our vendors. She provided multiple vendor options, communicated closely with them and us throughout the bidding and hiring process, and ensured we were all on the same page from planning through the walkthrough and up to the day of the event. One of the greatest things about this process was the clear, concise communication and organization that made planning, payments, and decision-making understandable, step by step, rather than a labyrinth of crossed wires and deadlines.  The day of our wedding was as effortless as could be. It was great to have the team from Two Perfect Events, along with Yoko and Leo, there to assist with setting up and taking down decorations and rentals, help guide guests, event staff, and our vendors, and ensure everything, including our deliveries and rentals, went according to plan. We also appreciated that our planners kept an eye on both of us the entire night to ensure we were doing well and enjoying the festivities, getting our food, making sure we were at the right place at the right time, and saving any items for our personal requests. We did not expect that Two Perfect Events would take behind-the-scenes photos and videos of the entire day and the in-person walkthroughs, which gave us a chance to reminisce on the process and quickly provide a glimpse of our families and friends outside the eyes of our wonderful wedding photographers.  We appreciated that our vendors were all in sync, and the coordinators ensured our entire process minimized the stress of planning, which was what we had hoped for all along. They provided us with good advice on choosing vendors, insurance for our wedding, and what to expect when working with multiple parties. It was evident that Two Perfect Events had considered multiple contingencies and scenarios in which snafus or unexpected issues may arise throughout the process, and we were glad that Yoko was always prepared for them, including giving us enough buffer time due to traffic delays so our guests could arrive on the big day.  Everyone complimented us on the evening, and it went by so smoothly. They commented that this was the least stressful and most fun wedding they've been to in a long time, which conveyed the vibe we were going for. We wanted it to be a fun yet intimate evening where everyone enjoyed getting together to celebrate, and we were delighted to celebrate that day with them. I am so grateful that Patty was recommended to me, I have no idea what I would have done without her. If you have no experience planning a wedding, then Patty is a great option. She will go above and beyond. She helped me with EVERYTHING. We had so many phone calls about planning, venders, timelines, you name it. We got married at the Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa, Patty got our marriage insurance (didn't know that was a thing) and every detail was done to my exact wishes; our rooms, a get-ready room, timeline. She helped me find and book my venders; makeup, hair, live music. She knew about the area restrictions and completely managed all my venders. She made the best timelines I have ever seen in my life, had everything to a tee with wiggle room in case things did not go according to plan (which they rarely do). She even helped my officiant (who was our best friend) with his ceremony timeline and speech. Patty took care of everything, even when I had vender drama, she took care of it without me having to deal with it at all. And she even ran to our room when our ring bearer forget our rings! Day of, Patty has her assistant Carol which is more than a bonus. Both Patty and Carol are adored by me and my family. Truly were like my own family, even helped me put my shoes on.
