I cannot say enough good things about A Peaceful Path Montessori! Where do I start? I am so thankful that I found this school, in so many ways! My son looks forward to going every school day. He attends two days a week, which I will be adding a third day in Feb. just for the simple fact that he loves it so much! I have seen lots of growth and maturity since he has been attending. I personally, have learned so much as well. Just from picking and dropping him off, talking to the staff, and observing. It has changed how I parent, in a positive way. The environment is as you would see in a Montessori classroom, as Miss Julie follows the AMI guidelines. The staff is what I feel makes this place unique and special! This is their calling and the children sense this as well. They are taught so many things, but what I love the most is......they are taught to be kind and considerate. As I was leaving one day I overheard a child call out to another child that was leaving......he said "Thank you for playing with me today". Amazing! The boy is not even three yet!!! I do not hesitate in recommending this school to other parents . We are so lucky to have found this program for our son. It has an extremely intimate setting that none of the other programs I researched had. The children get as much attention as they need and also the space to really allow them to grow and thrive in their independence. Miss Julie has been a great resource for us as parents, as well. She is always available to answer questions and offer advice for better ways to handle toddlers. They offer occasional meetings for all the parents with various age related topics. The school has gatherings for the parents to get to know one another and create a great community atmosphere. Once a month they offer parents night out and Miss Julie's daughter has an activity for the kids. Its nice to get a meal out with the spouse occasionally. The small library of Montessori and child development books is also a plus. We were grateful for the two day option because we really wanted our son to attend Montessori but it was more cost effective and we didn't feel like we were rushing him into too many days. read more

We absolutely love love love A Peaceful Path! my husband and I went back and forth deciding whether or not to put our 2 year old daughter in preschool this year or not. Eventually we decided to. We knew we wanted to put her into a Montessori program but we weren't which one to choose. After reading online reviews and meeting with Miss Julie, we just knew we had to choose A Peaceful Path. Every single day we wish we would have found A Peaceful Path sooner! This month we just added another day because our daughter just has so much fun there. She has developed amazing self confident and comes home everyday with something new. She is able to express her uniqueness, personality and imagination so well since she started school. She has learned great manners as well, which we couldn't be more happy about. I would recommend A Peaceful Path to anyone and everyone. I don't know where we would be without it! Year three at A Peaceful Path Montessori (for two different kids), and we still love it more than anything. Our daughter is also quite independent and a completely different child than her brother. It has continued to be great to have the school as a wonderful place to send her to develop all of her positive attributes (and minimize her less-than-positive ones) and to have Miss Julie as a resource for helping us figure out how to raise her well. Whether you're interested in having your child become a happy, social being or having them learn to do things you thought kids weren't able to do yet, this is the place. We continue to feel like we are giving our kids the best start possible. It has been a gift both for them and for us. We believe in everything great-quality Montessori has to offer, and A Peaceful Path Montessori is the best quality. Lastly, as an update to our last review, a full day is now an option. My daughter was so lucky to be able to get in to this program in last minutes. She cried every morning for over a month due to her separation anxiety (She was there twice a week then). Miss Julie and her staff comforted her as if she was their own child and I had no problem leaving her there. As a mother and a mental health therapist's perspective, this place is very secure place for a toddler to be in. The school size is small enough to feel safe, but the environment is wonderfully set up for kids' all kinds of needs. In addition, Miss Julie and her staff are passionate about what they do. I really do appreciate their suggestions and support when I talk to them about problems I encounter at home The monthly newsletters and events, which Miss Julie provides, are very educational and helpful for parents. We have been so pleased with our daughter's experience at A Peaceful Path Montessori. She was having lots of trouble articulating herself as she has been a late speaker, and in the first two weeks of attending school she had added at least a dozen new words to her vocabulary! Miss Julie is also very accomodating, listening to our concerns about our daughter. We are going two days a week currently, and are loving all the different opportunites the school has for our daughter to express her creativity. She is always very excited to go to school and always very dissapointed to leave. For any parents who are undecided about sending their child to a program at this age, it has been such a beneficial experience for our family, and we highly reccomend doing it! read more

We are so thankful to have found A Peaceful Path Montessori for our son. The atmosphere there is so welcoming and truly tailored to meet the needs of the child. Our son has grown so much here and we are always amazed at the new found independence our little one has in doing things for himself and for us too. He can put on his own jacket, pour his own juice, and many other awesome things. Miss Julie is wonderful and has been very accommodating to my son who has certain dietary restrictions. A Peaceful Path Montessori is the most amazing, slice of heaven we have been fortunate enough to be introduced to in Vancouver, WA. We were able to have our eldest attend and now our youngest is able to be a part of this wonderful place. This school has been an amazing introduction to Montessori and given our kids a wonderful start. Miss Julie and her staff are kind, giving, warm people who truly love what they are doing. We are lucky to have found A Peaceful Path. Julie's program is beyond my expectations and I admit I am picky when I am choosing anything for my child. He started going to Miss Julie's @ 19 month. I can't describe with words how happy I am with my son's development in terms of self control (yes, toddlers can have that), confidence, concentration span, empathy, motor skills, inquisitiveness, social rules and language (he is singing in Spanish these days). Our son attends APPM and we could not have found a better place for him. He loves Miss Julie and Miss Rian and all his friends. We love that he is in a Montessori environment carefully prepared for toddlers! On any given day he could be found slicing bananas, making orange juice, working on cutting and gluing skills, cleaning windows or making beautiful art at the easel. In addition the children are given ample outside time to play and work on their gross motor skills. If you are looking for a place for your toddler to thrive- APPM is the place for you! read more

My daughter attends A Peaceful Path Montessori two mornings a week. When we started I was a little nervous about sending my toddler off without a parent. She had never been in daycare, or any other drop off activities before. She also tends to be a little shy around strangers. When I learned how happy she was on her first day of school I was overjoyed! She loves going to "Miss. Julie's" to play and learn with her friends. Can't say enough good stuff! Our daughter has blossomed since going to APPM. She use to be shy and so dependent. Now she tries new things and can't wait to go off and play with friends. Since atteding APPM she will even go into our church nursery without crying.
