I was soon blessed with making contact with Laurie and the rest is history! The next nine months of distance planning was eerily effortless! All I needed to do was give her basic details of what I wanted and Laurie made it happen! She listened, worked within my desired budget, gave honest advice and warnings about certain things that are/are not necessary. Laurie even helped calm me by handling some last minute makeup concerns. Once on island, I met her to go over some final details and I immediately felt connected to her and so blessed to have Laurie on my team. I don't say that lightly because some people are just in it for the money. Laurie truly cares about creating a beautiful wedding event. My fiancé and I both felt her care. On the day of the wedding there was an overcast sky and light rain. I was slightly concerned, because who doesn't want a sunny bright blue sky for their wedding day? Laurie just said, "It's just good luck! No worries. Let's get you ready!" At that moment I released the sadness and radiated joy. Our wedding felt truly magical! I was able to walk on air to confidently and happily marry the love of my life. Our Officiant was Reverend Al. There are truly no words to explain how he gently and genuinely he commanded the ceremony. His soft voice yet spirited passion floated around us throughout the service. Reverend Al even sensed our nervousness and prompted kisses throughout. What a great gift to us! My aunt from Georgia later said, "Baby girl, don't know what he was saying the whole time, but I felt and understood those beautiful words in my heart!" That comment spoke volumes to me since we were not in a church but outside overlooking the ocean. Reverend Al was awesome! Our guests were amazed with the beauty of ceremony and dinner reception. The location, catering, florals, cake and staff were so wonderful. Many said it was the best wedding they'd attended. Expect to blow your budget, but you pay for what you get (we spent ~$2,800/guest for the weekend) and trust us, it was well worth it. Katy is one of a kind, and clearly multiple levels above other wedding planners. If you're looking for a luxurious, highly personalized wedding, one that truly accentuates your love and journey, hire Katy, she's your gal. She knows what she's doing! Many gave us the advice that something always goes wrong at your wedding, just let it go, but our wedding, under Katy's leadership, was flawless. There were many instances where both of us were decision-paralyzed particularly during the design phase. After a few questions and yay-or-nays on pictures, Katy knew exactly what we wanted. It's like she read our mind, and then delivered. From our wedding vision, to big ticket items to the smallest details, it can get overwhelming. Our advice: trust her and listen to her advice because she knows exactly what she's doing and she'll get it done so you have peace of mind. We had our dream wedding and all of our guests lamented about how it was "the most special and beautiful wedding they had ever been to," still to this day, and even the ones who had been to multiple weddings at our venue before. We had a very "us" experience... this was no cookie-cutter thing. We prioritized food, drinks, and entertainment, and boy-oh-boy was that done right. We felt it would be more appropriate and comfortable to provide our feedback directly to her, with the understanding that she could then relay it to her team. During numerous email discussions, Kara made excuses for every issue we raised and essentially blamed us for the shortcomings of our wedding planner. Because of that, I cannot recommend Aloha Wedding Planning Services. Although Veronica, our planner, was lovely and personable, the service we received on our wedding day did not reflect a 5-star experience. Given that we paid $4,000, I expected much higher quality. If the cost had been lower, I can confidently say I would not have been as upset by the small details that didn't go perfectly.

Maui wedding adventures was able to meet us in Kapalua (one of our fave dive sites too). We dined at Merriman's and the food was delicious, as was the view. Marvin's music is just what we were looking for. He had many song choices with many of them being our favorites. His music really completed our ceremony.
