My husband and I heard about Kim through a coworker that was taking dance lessons with her for their wedding. I went on Yelp and was checking on reviews and on a whim I emailed Kim to inquire about lessons. Our wedding was less than a week so my husband and I booked for 3 classes because we were on a time crunch. Kim was so quick to get back to us. From my inquiry, she emailed us back in 30 minutes to tell us about pricing and answer any questions. When we met with her in her private dance studio, the first thing i noticed off the back was her sweet personality. Kim makes you feel relaxed and made me want to dance! Take two people with two left feet each and have them do a choreographed dance in front of 140 of their closest friends and family. Sounds like a disaster, right? Not if you hire Kim to teach you! Kim worked a true miracle with me and my husband. I knew that I wanted a formal choreographed dance even if I embarrassed the two of us on our most important day. From our first meeting with Kim, she put us at ease and made the entire experience fun. She was so patient with us every class and took the time to record our lessons for us so we would have videos to take home and practice. One hour sessions go by quickly so practice at home is a MUST. We probably didn't practice as much as we should have, but she made us feel accountable. So even on our lazy days, my hubs and I felt like we needed to get off the couch and practice because we didn't want to disappoint Kim at our next lesson. She pivoted when needed when we couldn't get a move right and gave us modifications to make complex moves doable for us. We highly recommend Kim and a Perfect Wedding Dance!! While wedding planning, we received lots of advice from people saying that they wish they had practiced their first dance prior to the wedding and/or taken dance lessons. My husband and I are NOT dancers, so we decided to look into dance lessons. We booked a consultation with Kim after reading great reviews online and after we met with her we knew we wanted to book lessons. We booked four lessons, but I believe six lessons would have perfected our dance. Kim is super helpful and knows how to make two people who aren't comfortable dancing feel comfortable enough to dance together and in front of their guests. She takes into consideration what you want your dance to look and feel like, what your venue is like, where your guests will be watching you, what your song is, everything! During the lesson, Kim records you so you can watch at home. We made sure to practice our dance in between lessons so we were ready to progress to the next step in our dance. By the time our fourth lesson came around, we had everything but the end complete. We definitely could have done another lesson or two, but Kim worked with our timeline great! We practiced every night for two weeks before the wedding day. When the wedding day came around we sneaked away from our guests and did a quick run through.
