I had a good time! I took bachata mechanics and it was definitely entry level skills. The teacher was thorough and made sure we got the moves down before she moved onto the next. She was going around the class for anyone who did not get it right or felt uncomfortable she would help out. The first class lasted about an hour and a half. Also you first class is free! I randomly decided to try learning social dancing in January and found myself at this studio through an Instagram ad I saw. From the very beginning, my experience has been nothing short of incredible. My teachers for Intro to Salsa and Bachata -- Jimi, Jen, and Jay -- were all absolutely amazing. Each of them brought so much energy, knowledge, and encouragement to every class, and made learning both fun and approachable. I loved my intro classes so much that I continued on to Level Two and have also started attending socials. Never did I ever think I would find myself doing this, and I truly had no idea what I was getting into when I started. Now, dancing has become one of the highlights of my life. It's so much fun, has given me a wonderful community of friends, and I genuinely look forward to coming to the studio multiple times a week. The owners, Jimi and Paula, are phenomenal -- so welcoming, passionate, and dedicated to creating a supportive environment. Every instructor I've had at the studio has been excellent, and the training is extremely thorough. Daughter loves coming to her dance classes. At first she was debating between ballet and gymnastics but after coming here for the first time she forgot all about gymnastics! Teachers are great and patient with the students who are still relatively young and attention spans are shorter than average lol The studio is being remodeled and looking better and better every time we go in! My daughter takes a class here 2x per week and We have been very happy. The waiting room is clean and comfy. The dance studio areas are clean and kept at appropriate temperatures. This studio has a fun and friendly environment. I started their Intro to Salsa course with zero dance skills. The pace of the classes are slow enough to not completely scare away new dancers. Each week my nerves and anxiety slowly went away thanks to Jimi and Paula. They are able to guide and teach in such a way where I felt relax but motivated to learn. My favorite studio for Salsa classes! And located on the west side, close to home. I've been taking classes here for roughly a year. Jimi and Paula are very welcoming instructors with genuine and caring personalities. I started learning with another studio and I decided to leave there because I didn't see myself progressing. I love that Jimi and Paula focus on technique and connection. This is something that I've noticed other instructors gloss over. You aren't going to become a great social dancer if you do not learn how to connect, lead/follow your partner. They will teach you how the dance is supposed to feel and look. I recently introduced my brother to this studio and I'm so impressed with the progress he is making in just two months. His lead is already feeling amazing. Such amazing teachers and staff! Since the beginning of the pandemic they have done an awesome job in helping their students to not lose their training but still remain safe by going on zoom. Now that they have been able to open again, following all covid regulations, they still put their student's safety first. They regularly check temperatures and require masks. Love love love Jimi and Paula!!! They are super professional and patient with all students. My hubby and I were taking the salsa classes with them and we loved them. We also always felt safe going into class even during COVID as all students are taken their temperature as soon as you walk into the lobby and everyone is required to wear their masks. The only reason we stopped going was due to a new pregnancy and we couldn't continue with the classes, but we will be back as soon as we can!!! read more

I've been here at this studio since the first day they opened back in March 2018 when I took my first ever salsa class. I have nothing else to say other than I'm in love. With the people, the structure of the classes, the vibes, and especially the instructors and their level of knowledge and techniques. I've taken dance classes not just salsa, but I've never met anyone that can break things down like they do. Although they're already so amazing, they do not forget to keep training and continuing their education which is very important to me when I am choosing an instructor to learn from! The instructors that I met are great here. The reason I gave it so few stars is because the lady at the front desk, who has her dog with her, is unfriendly and also inconsiderate. I walked in and it was stuffy and smelt like poop. She has a small piece of AstroTurf next to a FRIDGE, where her dog poops and she doesn't pick it up. When I walked past the dog poop to go to the restroom, hoping it'd be gone when I came back, it wasn't.. it's a small waiting area with kids everywhere...how is it safe to leave dog faeces there around kids? I told her the dog had made a poop, in case she wanted to pick it up, or didn't know.. she looked at me and said I know, thanks... and then went to go teach a dance... the poop was there from when I arrived, to when I left, a total of 90 min. Disgusting. If your dog is going to shit right here, clean up after it.... read more

I never post a review but this studio deserves one! First impression off-the-bat was how friendly and welcoming Jimi and Paula (the owners) were! Brand new cozy studio with charm, and it's also super clean! I took a Beginner Salsa On2 class on 03/30/18 and an Intermediate class that was taught by pro performers, Erik & Rosemarie, who came to visit from LA. I enjoyed the ease with which Jimi and Paula explained and demonstrated the steps, and details on when to move with the music and the speed. A nice extra touch was when Jimi got on the congas and helped emphasize on what beat to step on with any Salsa song. Fun night! Looking forward to taking another class soon! When I first met Jimi and Paula , I could tell that they were very passionate about what they do and it made me interested to learn. They have both been super patient and encouraging. Before signing my daughter up, I called the studio several times and no one answered. Turns out I signed my daughter up for a class that was too advanced, so we left the first day a little discouraged. We returned the following day and my daughter had a great time. We decided to come back the following week. My daughter is 3, so this is all new to her. The second time around there was another student who was older and had been dancing for 3 years. The instructor who is in high school(only cares teaching will look good on her college app, from what I heard her say) soley focused on the other student. I was upset because I thought this class was a beginners class for her age group. At the very end they were given stickers, my daughter has a speech delayment and they gave her a sticker she didn't want, instead of giving her one more fricken sticker they said no and then ignored her. Like literally my 3 year old was crying and the instructor was ignoring her talking to the receptionist who never answers the phone. We will not be returning. read more
