I cannot recommend Dance with Me enough. My fiancé and I wanted a choreographed first dance at our wedding and began lessons here. Yes they are pricey but they are so worth it. My fiancé originally didn't want to dance at all and I cried with nerves the first time we went. But our instructor, Marco, is a literal angel on earth. I have very basic knowledge of ballroom dancing, i.e. the box step, and have always wanted to learn more. There's no better time than right now... so I signed up for lessons, primarily to get in shape, build stamina. Glad they're in located in the beautiful Tivoli Village which by itself is a wonderful destination that evokes memories of Italy. Love, love, love this dance studio --- with that incredible and breathtaking crystal ceiling to floor chandelier, as well as the mirrored walls, more crystal chandeliers, deep red brocade-like wallpaper, bright gleaming wood floors. So rich, elegant and inviting! From the moment I called and spoke with Lisa Garcia, I knew I came to the right place. She was so personable and was very patient in explaining their programs, from private lessons to group lessons, and the progression for students who want to keep taking lessons to improve their technique, style, etc. She must have taken Dale Carnegie class on how to win friends and influence people :) My first private class was with Shushan Avagyan --- such a beautiful and graceful person who is infinitely patient in walking me through the various dances. I want to stick with slow and easy, which translates to smooth. In my case: Waltz, tango and fox trot. Marco Garcia is another instructor who, like Shushan, is diligent in teaching me the basics, and who frequently injects his infectious laugh and humor. Upon their recommendation, I started attending group classes along with other students including beginners as well as some who have been dancing a little longer. It was during those classes that I really enjoyed myself learning more dances like salsa, rumba, bachata, meringue, cha-cha. We are also learning how to hustle and swing. The other night, Shushan showed us how to belly dance! On Thursdays, after a group class, they hold a social, a real party for the students. They serve sparkling wine and cheese. Some students bring additional snacks and more libations (I brought home-made limoncello and kahlua). We have such a good time dancing with all the instructors - Micah Hammaker, Shushan and Marco --- and with each other. We don't even need partners because there will be energetic line dances that we can easily follow. I for one, really love this studio. They make us feel so welcome. Learning to dance is just one benefit --- making new friends is another. read more

Drop in class review. This studio has drop in classes throughout the week except the weekends (including Fridays). After finding this studio walking by, my partner and I decided to take a drop in class. This was our first time taking a dance lesson like this. Our instructor was very clear and patient with the steps. My partner and I honestly had a lot of fun. If you have ZERO experience and you take even a drop in class, you will at least know the VERY basic steps of a dance style that they are teaching. Beautiful and elegant dance studio located in Tivoli Village. Wasn't to hard to find. Free parking underground or you can valet or side street. Went in for a West Coast Swing group class. Marco is an excellent teacher and very friendly. I had a good time although I was the 'lead' meaning mans part. Would've rather been the woman's part, but oh well. Never enough men in group classes. Our instructor is Marco and he is amazing. I can't tell you how confidence inspiring he is and how comfortable we are with him. The reality is this process is not super inexpensive but it's also not overpriced. You pay for quality and based on our experience quality is what we are receiving. I don't know when the post Covid world will settle down to the point where we will engage in public dancing again but when it does we will be confident and ready. Do yourself a favor and avoid doing business with Dance With Me Summerlin. I am a serious social ballroom dancer having danced many years at the well known Cheryl Burke Studio in the San Francisco Bay Area. At every turn I have been treated with respect and impeccable ethics. I have danced throughout the world on cruise ships and have had the good fortunate and great fun dancing with teachers and at studios in South America including Chile and Argentina. I was caught by surprise when Dance With Me quickly became a nasty nightmare experience. As a new resident when I found Dance With Me Summerlin close to my home, I signed up. I wanted to dance and didn't have time to research other options. I knew almost immediately that the teachers were mediocre at best but I was okay with this. They were also very hard sell and pretty much demanded payment up front for a large block of lessons. I wrote the check. Fast forward -- I had surgery and had to quit dancing for three months. As I was ready to restart dancing I developed a medical complication and cannot dance. I called and asked for a refund of my very significant advance payment. Three weeks later and ten back and forth phone calls - horrible experience !!!! - I finally talked to a regional manager for Dance With Me somewhere on the East Coast who had the audacity to ask me to send my medical records to Dance With Me for review. Maybe they could then consider a refund, she said. All I need with the ongoing complexity of my situation is to have my medical records in the hands of a dance studio company whose blatant unprofessionalism is now very evident. I doubt that they have internet security except perhaps for their banking and financial matters. In relaying this story to my friends in the dance community I am learning that Las Vegas has several wonderful locally owned and ethical ballroom dance studios. Everything about this place is incredible. My husband and I started taking lessons as something fun to do together. It's been a couple of months now, but I'm so glad we started. The atmosphere is so great. You walk in and everyone is smiling. They treat you like family. There's not been a day where we go and haven't left with smiles and a sense of accomplishment learning something new. The coaches are friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. I started dancing the week after they opened and I love it! Every time I walk in the door I'm greeted with a smile and treated like family. I have never done any form of ballroom dancing until I started here and I'm going to my first competition next week. I've always wanted to learn ballroom dancing and I have found the best studio in town. Dance with Me is the best place to learn, not only ballroom, but Latin dances as well. I've been going since the studio opened(over 3 months as the date of this review) and love all the classes they have to offer. Each student starts with the starter program and it is designed to the individual student, as to what they want to learn and what they wish to accomplish with their dancing. When you continue on you will learn more about each individual dance more in depth. The instructors are the greatest and it is one be happy dance family. You walk in the doors, you feel at home and you can leave the world of worries outside as just dance. I have wanted to take salsa lessons for a long time now and when i was quoted 49.00 per class I thought why not! I was sadly mistaken after i was encouraged to take a 5 class package at 49.00 each I took the classes but did not really learn much. The instructors are nice but they start classes late so when you pay for an hour you really get 40 minutes of class time which ended up being 20 minutes of instruction and 20 minutes of the instructor making conversation. It became worse when after I finished the classes I went to pay and it was a total of 800 plus dollars! I was shocked I talked to a manager named Chris because I was quoted 49.00 for 5 classes. He told me I was given incorrect information and that the 49.00 was just for 1 intro class on top of a 39.00 registration fee and the rest of the classes were about 180 each! Because I was given a different quote he discounted me 200.00 but i still ended up paying over 600.00 for something i expected to be at most 300.00. Then after everything I was encouraged again to get this "great deal" for private classes to solve my "lack of instruction problem." I was quoted 60.00 for a private lesson and agreed but i wanted to pay in advance to prevent any further price change. I went in to pay for the private lessons i was so eagerly encouraged to do and they told me they think an 11 class plan was better for me and then showed me a bill which for the second time had an outrageous total with classes AGAIN more then what I was told. I told them no thank you and will never come back. Barely any instruction and they constantly given you a lower price then what your bill will come to be I suggest finding another studio thats what i'm doing now. read more
