Mom suffered from severe migraines. Being able to close out daylight during an attack was a greatly desired feature. We tried having 3M Window tint applied to all south and east facing windows, and that wasn't good enough. We'd installed thermo-lined draperies throughout the home, and they didn't do the job. We had Quality give us an estimate, and still waited a year. We contacted Pat at the next Garden and Home Show. and chose to go ahead with the installation. The price quoted was the same as the original estimate, even after a year. We noticed a huge difference in our utility bills that year!! Pat and family are great to work with. When we decided to upgrade our windows, We had Pat come to remove and then re-install our shutters, right over those gorgeous new windows. Allow me to expand: Called on a Mon or Tue to have an awning moved and spoke to Pat who said he would call a couple days later to schedule an appt. As this company had installed the awning and I lived relatively close, we both agreed scheduling the movement didn't seem like it would be too far out. The rest of the week passed and I didn't hear back from Pat. The following Tues my phone rant and it was Pat. Figuring he wanted to schedule an appt, I grabbed a pen and got ready. Not to be. He was in my driveway with no advance notice to allow time to ready my dog or myself. So I show Pat how far it needs to be moved over and he tells me to move the awning over the price will be $450!! That is double the cost of the labor for the original install. Then he asked me to pay in check or cash to avoid paying the charge on visa machine due to, you guessed it, 'inflation'. The only word he would say over and over is 'inflation'. Now I highly doubt he doubled the salary of his employees in the 8 or so years since I had the awning installed, so where is the 'inflation' going to unless it's pure profit to him? Not sure how many uniformed people he installs awnings for, but inflation is caused by companies (like Quality Awning) charging more because they CAN. Don't pay it and inflation will go down. Remember when people weren't traveling during the pandemic and gas prices fell? Same idea. Supply and demand people.

K&G did a good job completing my James Hardy cement fiberboard siding. I got two other estimates…read moreand K&G solutions was the best deal. They were one of the better, well-known competition with advertisements, but they gave me an estimate that was 33% higher! On top of that, they weren't fully forth coming about the financing. They used high pressure sales techniques, saying "if you sign up now on the spot, we can give you 0% financing." However, they didn't tell me that the financing company charges a 20% loan fee. They just hid that fact. Greg, the owner of K&G, was upfront, honest and very direct. He told me directly the breakdown of the cost. He even negotiated with the same financing company and I got a lower loan fee. If I had the cash to pay for for the whole project upfront, I would have had the option to save even more money. It was nice to know what everything cost and to know that I had the option to pay cash if I had it. Greg sent about 6-7 guys come out and complete the whole job in only 4 full days from tear down to brand new siding installed. The competition said they would only send out two guys and take a full two weeks to get the same job done and charge me way more. I'd rather the company hire more men, and get it finished quickly instead of having 2 guys go at a snail's pace to complete my home. Not only was Greg able to get my siding done much cheaper and get a lower loan fee, but was able to have a new window installed in one of my bathrooms, which had no existing window. Greg was able to include the cost of installing a brand new window and new siding for much cheaper than the competition. Also there was some small corrections that needed to be made and Greg was able to take care of that for me. K&G, thank you very much for taking care of all that needed to be done on the house.

Unfortunately, it didn't, and Greg (the owner) fell well short of the standard I expect from a vendor with real character and integrity. First, I can't say enough good things about our installers, Jerry and Jacob. They were talented, respectful, detailed, clean, and professional from start to finish. You'd never know new windows had gone in -- that's how much pride they took in the work. They deserve five stars on their own, and if you go with K&G, ask for them by name. You won't be disappointed. That's where the good part ends. Our windows were installed in February 2025. One window and one screen arrived damaged, and we were told replacements would follow quickly. What actually happened was a year of wrong-sized orders, repeated excuses, and no real accountability from the owner. Eventually, Greg connected us with the distributor directly, and a representative there finally sourced the correct window and screen. That resolution was completed on July 24, 2026 -- nearly a year and a half after installation. We held up our end throughout: paid on time, worked around K&G's scheduling, and stayed patient far longer than we should have had to. The pricing was fair, and the installation itself was excellent -- that's the only reason I'm not giving this one star. But no customer should have to wait over a year for a replacement part. I can recommend Jerry and Jacob without hesitation. I cannot recommend the ownership's follow-through or customer service.

They installed the fence wrong which resulted in the city coming out and issuing a citation, then they wouldn't fix it and I was out there ripping boards out of our front fence-which doesn't look anything like I requested because they installed it wrong. We have a lot of cracked boards and I've had to replace several of them-using the lumber I had to rip out after they installed it wrong. Now we've run out of the extra lumber. We adopted 2 dogs shortly after the fence was installed, one of our dogs jumps on the fence, this has knocked out several boards. Now, if the fence boards weren't such poor quality and the install was done correctly - I wouldn't mention this, the dog shouldn't jump on the fence but it does seem like it should hold up better than it has. What tipped me over the edge is that due to our dog knocking out boards I have been trying to find matching lumber to add boards inside the fence so they can't push the boards out. No luck at the big box stores so I called the company to find out how to get the lumber, if I could buy from them directly or get the suppliers info. Despite the fact that they installed the fence and I have to do all these repairs-they wouldn't help me at all. They said they don't sell materials and their supplier only works with them. It just seems like they should be more willing to help someone when they did the work. But I guess they got my $20k so why bother. Go with someone else. I get angry every time I look at the fence!
