K&G did a good job completing my James Hardy cement fiberboard siding. I got two other estimates and K&G solutions was the best deal. They were one of the better, well-known competition with advertisements, but they gave me an estimate that was 33% higher! On top of that, they weren't fully forth coming about the financing. They used high pressure sales techniques, saying "if you sign up now on the spot, we can give you 0% financing." However, they didn't tell me that the financing company charges a 20% loan fee. They just hid that fact. Greg, the owner of K&G, was upfront, honest and very direct. He told me directly the breakdown of the cost. He even negotiated with the same financing company and I got a lower loan fee. If I had the cash to pay for for the whole project upfront, I would have had the option to save even more money. It was nice to know what everything cost and to know that I had the option to pay cash if I had it. Greg sent about 6-7 guys come out and complete the whole job in only 4 full days from tear down to brand new siding installed. The competition said they would only send out two guys and take a full two weeks to get the same job done and charge me way more. I'd rather the company hire more men, and get it finished quickly instead of having 2 guys go at a snail's pace to complete my home. Not only was Greg able to get my siding done much cheaper and get a lower loan fee, but was able to have a new window installed in one of my bathrooms, which had no existing window. Greg was able to include the cost of installing a brand new window and new siding for much cheaper than the competition. Also there was some small corrections that needed to be made and Greg was able to take care of that for me. Buyer beware! We have been waiting for nearly a year for our windows to be replaced. Every single time they give us an installation date, they come up with an excuse and fail to show up. A month ago, we finally asked for our down payment to be returned, and we still haven't received a dime. It is now time to get legal assistance involved. Still waiting more than 6 months for repairs on windows installed by K & G under warranty. One of the windows in a bedroom needs to be replaced; cold, cold drafts in winter time; have to put strong tape and towels around window to keep cold out and to keep my 96 year old mother warm:( After numerous calls and texts and 2 canceled appointments by Greg for repairs, sadly have come to realize that I am wasting my time! I'm a senior citizen and can't afford to pay someone to do K & G's repairs. I pray that moving forward, K & G will treat ALL customers with integrity, equality and respect. We just had 3 more of our builder windows replaced and we could not be happier with the basement living area windows they just installed. The windows really make a difference in the warmth of the basement living areas. We bought new windows in 2018. Within 2 years one of the windows was separating from the frame on the house. We contacted Greg, it took months for someone to come out to reseal the window. Late last year we notified Greg of another issue with the same window. The handle that is used to pull the window down to close it was separating from the window. Greg told us he would get the replacement parts and let us know when they would be in. I never heard a word from Greg. I had to email K and G customer service and complain. I didn't get a response until I told them I was going to leave a bad review on BBB, social media, and anywhere to prevent anyone from having to go through what we are still going through today. Eventually, Greg emailed me and said he is having communication issues with the window manufacturer. Greg claimed he was going to meet with VP to get this and other issues resolved. Greg told me he was going to replace the damaged window with a new better quality window at no cost to me. I was happy about that! On 3/31 Greg said the ETA for window to be installed/replaced is 4/24. Today is 5/2 and I have not heard a word from Greg. I've asked for my money back, only to be told they don't do reimbursement. I can't get my window replaced by this company. My next step is filing a small claims lawsuit to get my money back. read more

He was professional, showed up on time for the estimate, was extremely fairly priced, was excellent at communication, and installed the windows wonderfully. K and G Solutions came highly recommended. Everything started out great. The owner Greg was very responsive. Helped us select our doors. Sent a guy out to get measurements and told us it would be about 8 weeks. Approximately 9 1/2 weeks later the doors (Front and Rear Entry) were "Ready" for install. Our Back door was already short 78" and when the new door arrived it was 76". They went forward with the install as if I would not notice. I'm 6'4" so I noticed as soon as I got home. They also mis-drilled our lock set so the handle was about an 1" out of vertical to the locks. The installer tried to fix it. But the damage was done. The front door was also ordered in the wrong size. This time being far to big. We were told another door was being ordered and it would be rushed. That was the end of communication for the most part. I called and texted the owner Greg numerous times. Every time I was told he was busy and would call me the following day. Finally 4 weeks later. I received an email from Greg stating "That he had failed us and we could either leave things as they were at no charge. Or let them take another Stab at it." After agreeing with his failure my final question was "Has the new door been ordered" To which I received no response. They have a ton of great reviews and everything went well for my friend. But when things go wrong Greg obviously has no accountability for his employees errors. He is unable to make the hard phone calls or visits to get things set back on track. At the end of the day we have lost nearly 5 months of time from when I first contacted K&G solutions. While our new backdoor may be nicer than our old back door it is still wrong. I have not been charged for the door or the service. But I have lost a lot of valuable energy and time. read more

Customer service, communication and respect took a downward spiral after payment was received.  Day of install Jan 21st 2019 the guys who entered my home (Sterling, installer not sure who other kid was)  were the most disrespectful, unprofessional and purposely rude people I have encountered . When they arrived Sterling asked why my furniture wasn't moved. I informed him that I was not told to do anything to prepare for today. He was short and when I asked him what do we do now? He barked back with "MOVE THE FURNITURE" I wanted them to know that I had my cats in back bedroom and to let me know when he was ready to start. His response was " Your wasting a lot of time on this cat thing". That's when communication from me ceased, until I witnessed the kid shatter my exterior patio light fixture when opening screen door. Response from kid was, " The door did it".Light fixture was toast.  I was not aware they had left, and replaced the glass cover with a CHEAP PLASTIC one. When I took a closer look at the fixture, I noticed the socket and wires were dangling like a speed bag (punching). Manager/ Owner handled situation very POORLY, lying repeatedly about replacing the light fixture. After several stories on producing the fixture I was asked what has fueled my fire, at which my response was, "Who is the common denominator in this besides me? Owner asked if I would I settle on 50 bucks cash to get the light fixture? ( this was is April, and install was Jan 21st). Tried to schedule one of his guys to install fixture was painful just like every other aspect of this whole ordeal. I installed the light fixture myself and i was very pleased with my work. Not to mention the issue with screen for dining room, which took 6 different screens to finally get correct fit. I just found out that a fellow co worker used them and they are having a horrible experience as well and going on a yr since their initial installation. read more

Why five stars?  High quality, cost effective and great follow up.  Oh, and an owner who LISTENS to his clients!  Need I say more?!  In the day and age of quote shopping, appointment setting and pushy salesmen rattling off numbers four times higher than the "sales price minus discounts and buy three get one free" gimmicks, ditch the headaches and time wasters.  Seriously.  After a week of several appointments each day, my husband got to a point where he just wanted a fair price for what he was looking for and wanted to stay within our budget, minus the BS.  He's a straight shooter and wanted to deal with a straight shooter.  We didn't want "cheap" windows.  We didn't want to cut corners. Enter K&G...cut out the middle guys and talk to the owner!!  Greg owns K&G and is able to offer great prices since he doesn't really have an overhead for advertising or marketing.  This, in turn, saves clients money!  It totally made sense!  After appointments and quotes with the big name competitors, we were able to purchase the same product well under our budget, plus a back sliding door when one company practically wanted the equivalent of a used car price.  Not only did Greg beat everyone else's price out the park, he was up front with his schedule, delivery and installation dates. Everything went seamlessly and we had no issues whatsoever with the installers.  Plus, the two days we were told was actually one day with 11 windows and the sliding door!  They were in and out and we are still impressed!  To top it off, Greg answered all our calls in an extremely timely manner and never once made us feel as if we were interrupting him or "just a sale".  There definitely needs to be more business owners with this type of customer oriented mentality.  He listened to our request and provided outstanding results!  (He also went out of his way to help out with other stuff we needed to tackle with the house!).
