Michael is a man of integrity with skills rarely seen in today's world of disposable electronics. I reached out to him to fix a problem with my TV -- a problem that was my doing -- to see if he could undo it. The TV was too valuable to toss, but it was virtually inoperable except for running a streamer and Blu Ray player through an HDMI port. I could not control the volume or receive any broadcast stations because the channel keys were inoperable, and the remote never worked due to what I believe is the previous owner's programming. Michael came to my home, inspected the TV, explored the circuitry and removed the control panel, thinking that replacing it could possibly resolve my problems with the remote control and the volume and channel buttons. Accessing the control panel was not an easy process and involved moving the 50-pound set to another room so he could take it apart on a safer surface than my hardwood floors. He removed the control panel and took it with him, ordered a new one and returned to my home a few weeks later with a new one. Long story short (or at least shorter): He was not able to fix the problem because the new control panel provided the same ersults. I believe no one could fix the problem at this point. But he did recommend a workaround that I could try: A TV stick that connects to my antenna and an HDMI port. I ordered one of these, and voila: Problem solved! I paid him a moderate fee for his time and trouble because I felt bad about the hours he spent with no resolution. You won't find many TV repairmen (or women) these days. It's a lost skill in this age of planned obsolescence, where electronics are discarded and upgraded once they malfunction. But if you do find a TV repairman, you won't find one with the patience, skills and integrity of Michael unless he is the one you hire -- and I highly recommend you do. Late and rude for TV repair. Technician arrived over 2 hours past the appointment window. I called the home office several times to find out what was going on and no answer. Once he arrived, he requested that he needed more room. I asked him "how much room do you need?" He yelled "I AM NOT WORKING ON THE FLOOR!". I told him that I wasn't forcing him to work on the floor and wanted to know if he needed more room to work or if he needed the TV to be in an elevated position. He wanted it to be elevated. I have a vintage 1958 tube Philco TV that needed repair. It is nearly impossible to find a certified technician, that is not only familiar with these old TV sets, but also who has an extensive experience in their repair, even in the San Francisco Bay Area. Michael and his team were able to identify the problems, order the necessary tubes and outdated electronic parts, mainly from Europe, where they are still available, and appropriately service the TV. A-Plus really is Michael himself, and he couldn't have been more accommodating nor generous in his dealings with me. However, since he doesn't perform the work himself, all the best intentions amount to little if the work isn't done correctly. With two different visits to their technician, A-Plus still wasn't able to repair my slightly cranky stereo receiver nor even to replicate the problem. Nightmare experience from beginning to end. Made an appointment with Michael which I clearly wrote in my messages Tuesday the 16th and he said yes and agreed to. Our Samsung 75inch flatscreen went dead and I found A+ on the Samsung website. Michael diagnosed that we needed a new LED panel and advised us to ask Samsung to cover this even though the TV was over 3 yrs old. Samsung agreed to replace the LED panel but insisted on having another company do the repair, even though we asked for A+. The other company fixed the LED panel but left our huge flatscreen in the garage since the screws to install it were missing. We went back to Michael who special ordered the screws and came to our house 4x with an assistant just to get the TV installed. All this for a total of $125! This guy is legit. When my LG OLED TV started having intermittent issues, I brought it to Michael at A+ for troubleshooting. He was very transparent with me and told me that he may not be able to fix it, but that we could try replacing the power PCB board.
