I wish I would've read the reviews before sending my DJ Mixer to him. The assessment took over 4 months to "complete" eventually I just got frustrated with his prolonged replies and just requested he return the mixer, I received no invoice. Replaced capacitors were saved for my inspection which clearly showed signs of degradation. My Yamaha CR-1020 (purchased in 1977) sounds great once again! Brought my Casio keyboard to Dave to see if he could repair its MIDI terminal board. He not only fixed it but he declined to charge me. Keep in mind that I brought it to him almost completely pulled apart. Dave has a curious mind so he wanted to know as much details as he could about the amp. He made a game plan to bring the amp and the schematic so that he can better diagnose. I dropped off the amp, had a few back and forth via phone and email about finding the right schematic. Dave was always professional throughout. Dave replaced the burned out diodes, resistors and added a bigger transistor so that the power supply doesn't run so hot and smoke again. Gave this guy about 3000 dollars of my wad, he was okay at first and he seemed very excited to do business. I was happy with the end result of the product I received in the mail from him, I know him better than most people on here and he started stuttering. I was let down when his inflections and tone in his voice changed. Then one day I phone him to ask when my gear will be ready and it's been months at this point so he picks up the phone says hi, seems nice at first, it sounds like we're both in good moods, and he get's arrogant and says, " hey look don't phone me, it's July 4th celebrations we're busy " and he hangs up. Abruptly too, not sure if he was drunk but his 1 800 number still connected me to him, I had forgot because I'm not an American but the least he could do is celebrate their holiday with me not get arrogant. Then he started changing things on the fixed item and his stuttering problem got worse and worse with each call but in the end I found out it was unnecessary to mail this item all the way across the country and international borders, and he never got a tracking number for the item when he shipped it back to me and it got returned to him because of a postal strike in my country so he never also applied for a refund either which is all bogus. After that I insisted on UPS so that it least the thing would have tracking number but he had my gear for a total of nine months about. Took forever and never worked when I got it back but a local repair store guy named Tim helped me and had Dave on the line, in fact it was Dave who called me back to tell me the local guy had fixed it fast too and for half price, so I kept bringing that store free beers after that, but I got more work done with them as well . Overall this was the most frustrating guy to ever deal with, I think Dave actually blocked me on my email so I switched to another email and that is when he was helping me with the local guy and he claims he never blocked me, but GOTTA BE HONEST this guy hates me and he taught that when someone has a stuttering problem you may want to watch them around others to see of they stutter with them, if not, they are nervous around you. SO that's what I think and not long after getting a tone of gear, I started to think about gigging for the first time in a while or at all, and I got tackled by a reporter when I was begging the media in my city to look at, so it all came down to social housing there is none and the wars overseas changed some cities a lot due to too many people coming in all at once and it turned into competition to chuck people overboard rather than BUILD NEW HOUSING and they build jails instead, then create a game for police to get rid of people to make room for new comers from Syria, Afghanistan etc. I predict that's why dave hates me is he sounds too proud their in that phone call on July 4th and he sounds like a proud warrior who wants and invites war the aggressor I found him quaky like a fender he's pissed I got a red gibson to match my red amp, but I live by the red river what can I do? I'm a proud person so is he, but I chose Gibson because Gibson himself got chased thru life and related to URGENCY he sold and still had to work for his own company just to make ends meet and only cruel people do that he was a mental patient for that resentment. Dave at ADK Hi-Fi Audio Repair is a genius at bringing high end audio equipment back to life. He recently revived my vintage hybrid solid state McIntosh receiver from the early 1990s. It's an analogue receiver with digital controls and circutry. No one was willing to look at it but Dave, with the exception of an authorized McIntosh dealer who was too far away for my practicality. Although it took McIntosh Labs months to provide all the necessary parts (they were closed for a while during the pandemic), once received, Dave quickly got my receiver repaired and operating up to specifications. Having mixed feelings about this business, I brought my old Pioneer SX 1010 here to get all the caps replaced because it's old and it kept cutting out. Got that done, but still kept cutting out on me, so brought it back to get the transistors replaced, so Dave says he can't find the right ones because they need to be matched, this process took another 6 months!, after the first time I brought it in was like 2 to 3 months so now it's been getting worked on for 9 months total! I was very patient with Dave but now that I've got it back the sound is cutting out again, so I'm frustrated and I've called Dave and left a message but no reply, so I guess I have to find somewhere else to bring it, oh well. read more

I brought a Cerwin-Vega M200 power amp and associated C-V PR1 preamp in for repair. The amp was running hot on the right side and the preamp simply stopped working. After two weeks they are both as good as new. Great value for the money. If you own one of the classics, you won't want to replace it with one of those crappy 5.1 or 7.1 systems delivering 12 watts per channel. My M200 delivers 240 watts per channel into 4 ohms, and my speakers can drink every watt. Well done! read more

These guys specialize in high fidelity stereo equipment repair and they really know their stuff. They also do musical equipment repair(amps, keyboards, PAs, etc) which is what I went to them for. I had them fix the input on my marshall cabinet since it had broken off in a move, they replaced the whole jack with strong materials and did a great job. I also had them fix the input and footswitch jacks on my fender chorus and they did a great job on that as well. The tech Dave is super knowledgeable about this stuff and and I'm confident he can solve any electrical problem you have. Did I mention that these guys also invented the first battery powered 60watt tube amp and a battery powered cordless pedal board?
