I arrived two minutes before opening, and they were ready to go--love that they open *in time*, not just *on time!* First Impressions & Atmosphere - I was warmly greeted by both the staff and a friendly customer who was already waiting for her appointment who I thought was a worker at first. - The salon was clean and well-organized. They even still had their Valentine's Day decorations up and a candy bowl for customers, which was cute. - The atmosphere was relaxing, with a great music selection that set the mood. They do have TVs, but they only display business information and pricing, which actually matched their website--love that consistency! However, I do wish they had something playing on at least one of the TVs for customers to watch. Sometimes, I prefer to limit my screen time during self-care and not be on my phone the entire time. Services & Experience - I got a **deluxe pedicure** first and an **eyebrow wax** afterward. - The pedicure was fantastic! They use **new liners for the foot bowls** and **unopened foot scrubbers**, which I appreciated for hygiene. - The **calf massage was better than expected**--a pleasant surprise! - I was offered water or soda and few other options, which was a nice added touch also. - Tons of polish and powder colors to choose from, so plenty of options. - My total time in the salon was **about an hour and a half**, and Ken, my nail tech for my pedicure , took his time to ensure quality service. For my eyebrow wax, a lady did them did not get her name but she got them just perfect! My brows are naturally curly, but she shaped them beautifully. I did get slightly snapped, but mistakes happen--it was nothing serious, and there was no damage. Pricing & Convenience - I got **gel French tips**, eyebrow and my total came to **$70** However, a **prior tip was already included and added in**, making it **$75 before any additional tipping**. - I was a **walk-in** and only waited **about five minutes**, likely because I arrived right at opening. - They do take **appointments**, which is great if you prefer a specific nail tech. - If you need food before, after, or even while waiting, there are **several restaurants in the same plaza**--super convenient! - There's also a **bus stop right in front of the plaza**, making it easy to get to if you use public transportation. I had a great experience here! The salon is clean, the staff is welcoming, and the service was thorough. For the massage portion was very weak and I totally understand keeping gloves on your fingers but they were a size too big for her so the plastic was rubbing around my leg a little bit more than her fingers were. It was just awkward and bad. They asked multiple times if I wanted to upgrade my pedicure but I always like to see what the basic is first and then go from there. I was not impressed. My friend got an upgraded one because she wanted the extra salt scrub or something, and the lady was okay but literally never cut one of her toenails so her her big toenails were two completely different sizes that was really noticeable if you looked down. I did not look at her toes until we were outside and I told her to turn around and go back in and fix it immediately and she said she would just do it at her normal pedicure place when she got home. She does not do confrontation. Overall it was not a huge deal because toenails can grow out and it will take a couple weeks for everything to go back to normal. So it was a minor disaster if you needed your toes done properly for that day. For us, just having a girls day meeting up halfway, it was not the end of the world. This man cut my toenails down so low you could see the nailbed. Not only were my toenails too low but they were cut crooked. Common sense would dictate that even though I told him to cut down low, nobody would mean past the actual nail bed. Then he rubbed my feet so hard with callus scrubber that it left a gash on my pinky toe. It is now Friday and I still cannot wear closed toed shoes. Because the sides rub on my toe and it not only hurts but it makes it bleed again. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. They hire people who don't know what they're doing and cut you. These asians must not want repeat business from blacks because they are all the time drawing blood from me. I specifically asked the leader to give me someone that would not cut me. And it's not just ben, it's been at least 7 other asians that have made me bleed. I don't have thick cuticles so I don't know what they're cutting so deep for. My nails left the salon with nail polish all around them, even though the lady had "cleaned up" my nails. And for the first time ever, my nail polish is peeling off from the side.
