Craft Warehouse is a large craft store. It's part of a small chain run out of the NW, 8 stores in total right now. Departments include beading, home decor, fabric, paper crafting, framing, and even some miscellaneous toys, magazines, etc. I appreciate the variety of items available in the store. I spend most of my time (& money) in the paper section; purchasing ink, rubber stamps, and embellishments. I find that they get in new products quite frequently and they feature the new lines on end caps so they're easy to find. I'm concerned about the recent (and significant!) reduction in the rubber stamp selection, so I'll have to see how that pans out. Customer service here has always been good. The salespeople are able to answer questions about products much better than the people at JoAnn's or Michael's who can't. Jon, the manager, is often on the sales floor. Every fall they have a huge open house, and it's a lot of fun. Big sales, music, refreshments, and prizes. It's definitely something my friends & I look forward to attending.

The location on Eagle Road has an awesome framing department. I have had several pictures framed and they helped pick out the perfect Matt and frame. I would highly recommend them!!! Here is an example

After an issue with an on-line order, the manager went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Great customer service.

What impressed me most wasn't just the quality of the finished work. It was how much time Justin spent helping me get every detail right. He never rushed the process and was incredibly patient while we worked through frame styles, matting options, glass choices, and color combinations. I came in with some ideas of my own, but Justin definitely elevated them. More than once I'd say, "That's great," and he'd come back with, "What about this frame instead?" or "Let's try this." Then before you knew it we were comparing different options, discussing double-color matting, tweaking accent colors, and finding combinations I never would have thought of myself. It felt much more like a collaboration than a transaction, and the finished pieces are proof of that. One of the pieces was actually a rare Jamie Lynn snowboard topsheet that was never pressed onto a snowboard. Because of that, it had a fiberglass backing and wasn't a typical framing project. Justin and the team handled it without hesitation and came up with a solution that preserved the piece perfectly while still making it look incredible on the wall. These pieces mean a lot to me personally. Jamie's artwork and snowboard graphics had a huge impact on me growing up, so I wanted the framing to complement the artwork rather than overpower it. Justin absolutely nailed that balance. Looking at the finished pieces, it's obvious how much thought went into every decision. The red accents on one piece, the blue accents on another, the textured matting on the Lib Tech piece... all of it came together better than I could have envisioned on my own. Justin has a real eye for this stuff. Beyond the craftsmanship, he's simply a great guy. Easy to talk to, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about what he does. You can tell he cares about the final result as much as his customers do. If you have artwork, collectibles, autographs, or anything meaningful that deserves to be displayed properly, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Justin and the team. I'll definitely be back. Our interior designer stepped in, when I found myself completely 'out of gas' after selecting the prints for her to source, to recommend Finer Frames to do the work because she knew they did great work and with good turnaround times too. Right on all counts! We have a lot of custom framed art in our home, collected by working with framing galleries over the last 40 years as we moved around, and so I very much appreciated that the gallery owner, Meg, who was also the framer for our prints approached it with the eye of an artist, which she also is. Her frame stock recommendation resulted in the perfect choice. The work was expertly done and the turnaround time was excellent too. We have used a couple of other framing galleries in the area over the last seven years, we have been happy with both businesses for their strengths but also knowing their weaknesses we chose one or the other depending on the project. But Finer Frames will now be our one and only choice going forward for any project. VIBE: If you're like my husband and me who love both galleries and looking at framing materials, this will be a veritable candy land of options to consider. Also, the vibe inside was all "chillax" with jazz on the sound system and ample space in between items to look about. I said, and I'm not kidding, that depending on time of day I'd like to linger with cup of coffee or glass of wine in hand and soak it all in for an extended time. LOCATION: Downtown Eagle located and while parking there can be difficult, Finer has the advantage of their own small parking lot. ACCESSIBILITY: One ADA parking (van access compliant) spot right outside the side entry door which is level into the all one one floor space with ample room to maneuver. As a customer with multiple sclerosis, which I've had since college years, I notice when a business does a good job of making it accessible like this. PS: The happy PS to the art being framed is that the man who Meg and our designer both recommended to hang it did a top notch job too. See review for Precision Artwork Installation (owner Russ Linn).

Each effort top notch. Owner Nels has a couple of decades of experience in this field. Both he and his colleague April are artists and so they see detail and nuances to be able to make excellent framing recommendations. No project is to too big or small nor too complicated or too simple. The shop itself is well lit with two big work tables to lay out the art work and frame options and they have a boat load of choices for frames, mats and filets. The interior designer working on our home introduced us to this store and we are so happy to have found it and to know Nels and April for their expertise. Were you in need of art restoration, these would be the folks to know, for example. And for any framing need you will find none better than Picture This! THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: On street in neighborhood and also small lot in back. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Level in the building and level in the door of the store. Ample access aisle space. 3) NEIGHBORS: Flying M is right across the hall in the building and Guido's and High Note are next door.
