It was getting to be too much driving into St Louis to my favorite salon so i tried this local spot a couple of times. It's hit or miss. I will say it's busy and it feels a bit like driving cattle sometimes. They definitely want to get people in and out. I will say I've never had to wait long. I have had one pedicure. It was one of the organic versions at $58 and it was amazing. The woman who did this seemed to take her time and it was rub after scrub after rub. It seemed to last forever. I can't remember her name - it started with a V - maybe Vivian? As far as dip manicures, I've had two there. One looked good but didn't last very long - the glossy top coat started peeling after a couple days. I tried again and it ended up fabulous, a nude powder that still looks great after three weeks, just grown out a bit. I believe her name is Anna. I would ask for her again if I go back. I gave three stars because I feel the salon looks nice but the music is too loud and the employees spend their time talking to each other. The music is loud so they are really kind of yelling at each other at times. There is no relaxation here. Also the TVs in back are on for when you get a pedicure but the volume is down and no captions so what's the point. My regular nail shop was closed so I came here based on proximity. I should have check out the reviews because from first look this place looks nice. They are fully staffed and we're able to take me right away as a walk in. I only needed a fill so I asked the first desk before booking what the price would be. They told me $35 for a fill and that I could take a seat. My nails were already in an almond shape but I asked for a cut down. The shape was not great... pretty lop sided and some pointier than others but I didn't complain. Once complete they told me to wash my hands and pay. The total for a fill, with basic color was $55! That $20 more than what they said when I entered. I asked them for an itemized breakdown and they came back with a charge for length, a charge for cut down and a charge for shape. Now please tell me how you charge for both length and cut down? Even charging shape is skeptical. Since they are the ones who ruined the original shape. After a few back and forths... they removed the charge for length and I ended up paying $49! They got away with scamming me $13 more than the original quote. And my nails have already started chipping. Stay clear of this place and save your money and time. read more

Was hoping this place wasn't as bad as they said. And it wasn't, but it wasn't good either. Girls day out with my mom and 2 daughters. So first we all picked our pedicure choices and then they tried to upsell each of us and were kind of disappointed when we said no. Then, I tried to upsell with gel polish, and once again the decline seemed to cause an attitude soft shift. I gave instructions on my 6 year old, and she ends up with a design that they want to charge me for. After saying, "She asked for it?" My daughter told me she did, and she loved it, but the point is she's 6 you, ask the parent first. My polish job was ok, but the massage portion was WEAK!!! The pedicure I chose was specifically supposed to be for massage. But it was more like a gentle rub. I did ask for more pressure, but she didn't seem to have good hand strength. Idk what they put on my feet but it caused such a reaction. Never had this happen. The gal just kept going on. Then she filed my right great toe too much that it bled. No apologies. I was hesitant to even come here as their other location in Shilo had issues with reservations. Their sister location called serenity has been my favorite. READ THE REVIEWS. LOTS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT HIKING CHARGES AFTER SERVICE IS DONE. THEY DID IT TO US. I was charged almost 2x what I was told I would pay! I made an apt for me to get a full set of short acrylic nails and for a child to get nail polish. I was quoted $45 for me and $6 for her beforehand and confirmed it when we got there with the techs before any work was done. I declined nail art, and every upgrade including longer lengths, gems, nail art, sip mails, fancy nail styles and techniques. I asked for just the basic short nails with clear coat. We were finally ready to leave 1.5 hours later because the tech kept taking phone breaks. The nail service itself was okay but I did have to correct him 3x because he tried to move onto other nails without fully covering a nail tip with the powder which makes the nail because the way he did it left my nail bed fully exposed down the middle and its side was slanted and raised high because he loaded too much on one side (something I have never had happen elsewhere in the decades I have had my nails done). INJURY BY TECH SUSTAINED: Also, I was injured by the tech. Rather than saying anything to me about turning my finger or hand a certain way, he just twisted it with a painful grab and jerk several times. By the end, one wrist was sprained and hurt for days after. This also does not include the fact he asked if I wanted my nail cuticles cut back or not and I said no, but then he ddrill filed half of them which cut me and made them bleed. In the end, I had short nails that looked okay but the look was ruined by pink scabby cuticles above them as they healed for a week after! It also really hurt going through that and unncessary. THE BAIT AND SWITCH. I THINK WHAT THEY DID MAY BE ILLEGAL: They tell me I owe a lot more. Why? "we do your nails" is the answer. What? How is this okay? I got the quote by phone when I made the appointment and I spoke with him and my daughter's tech Before we got our nails done and confirmed the price, which makes 3x I confirmed it, and then they bait & switched prices after the fact! I got up to leave and he handed me the ticket with the price on it. I asked why it was so much, and he said half was the charge for my child, and the rest is because he said "I use good tools, good powder, you get good nails." What? I asked him, "didn't I get the most basic options, what we agreed to in the beginning, so how does it cost more?" "You did. You ask for nails, and I give it, so now you owe this." "I know, but this isn't what I was told 3x before I got service for the cost." He and the counter lady say, "this is what you owe, you pay now" and "this is your bill, you pay here (asking for my credit card)." Under duress I had no choice but to pay. I offer cash and they gesture no and want a card, so I am turned down and have to pay by credit card. But why would anyone charge extra for using the tools of their trade to do a service job when you already had a written contract (their price menu) and verbal contract (their 3x confirmation - by phone, and with each tech) and secretly add that charge to your bill? I think they legally have to disclose changing the price on something if the terms of price change from the time I sat down until time to check out if the charges changed. I agreed in good faith to pay what they quoted, not higher, so how can they change the terms we agreed to? It makes no sense. They still expect me to hold up on my end to pay and I expect them to do the job at the price they quoted to do it for. ADDED UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES: Also, do you know how small a kid's nails are? I could have bought her dozens of bottles of polish for that price! They said I have to pay $82 plus a credit card use fee $2.05 which they did not disclose anywhere or have a sign to that effect (even though they would not take my cash and asked for the card), and I was told I have to add a tip or they will add one to my card for me! So, apparently tipping was not optional but required! Again, no disclosure to that ahead of time and no sign to that effect was visible. I was told a minimum amount I could add and did so because the alternative I was told would be even more! I told them it was basic fraud and extortion what they were doing, and the person just scoffed and said "see you in 2 weeks for your fill"! I was charged $90+ under duress. Asked the guy twice about my ridged finger nails and he filed one but left the others So I'm leaving now with different color fingers and toes and ridged finger nails that need to be filed Paid full price. I just wanted to be done, so I didn't complain. He asked what topcoat I wanted... I said shiny, not matte. Proceeds to put a shiny powder on. I was confused but just thought maybe this is how he does the last coat. NOPE get up to the front and Suddenly I owed 70. I guess I am happy I didn't get the Full Set After All. Beautiful location, very elegant and organized, wouldn't have even know how busy they were because it wasn't loud and noisy at all! A very relaxing experience for walk in on a Sunday afternoon. Checked in with a tablet and selected what I wanted and the options (manicure and gel) and within 15 minutes was already sitting down for a little pampering. Loved that they had the nail colors on a slag rather than having to look at a wall of colors and hoping it looked good against my soon. Meet the Queen of Grape. One word... awful! The guy that I had was very rushed and what he was doing. As he was drilling, my cuticles (after he finished the dip) he cut me THREE times! After it's finished, I went to sit down while I waited for the rest of my party. I noticed that the top layer of gel began to peel off of the dip. I then notified the manager who was very rude, and at first, unwilling to help. She eventually told me to go sit down, and I did where she painted over the already peeling portion of gel. Only selecting one star because I had to. I got off work early (never happens), had a babysitter, decided to treat myself. Chose the wrong place. Went in to get a mani/pedi. They started with the pedi. Most pedicures take about an hour, mine was 17 MINUTES! The technician did not massage or lotion my legs, hardly did anything really. The polish does not even look good. She even messed up one of my toes then glared at me for it. When it came time to look at my nails, she kept telling me I had gel on my nails. I literally had nothing on my nails, no polish and not even a clear coat. I ended up cancelling the mani, paid and left. I have never had such a terrible experience and will never go back nor recommend this place to anyone. read more

They were extremely busy, so the nail tech rushed my entire service and cut me 3 times. They charged me $89 for a basic "gel manicure" and "gel pedicure." She said my pedicure was $47 and my manicure was $42. A basic pedicure is $30 and to add gel is $15. A gel manicure is $35 and to add a French tip it costs $5. That's only $85, but I guess she decided to add on her own tip. Nonetheless, my nails and toes look horrible! Everyone at the front desk ignored me when I was trying to get assistance. They offered to fix my nails, but they were requesting that I have the person who messed them up be the one to redo it. They have no acceptable way of rectify the situation. Terrible business with terrible business practice. If I spend $90 to get my nails done, I expect them to be right the first time. The price doesn't match the quality. Save your money. read more

I've been getting my nails done for 12 years and this was the first time I've come here due to a friend recommendation. I will skip the experience overall and just go to the most important part. I had a feeling the nails would not last based on how thin it was and how there was no structure on the apex for any pressure, I thought maybe these would last me 2 weeks rather than my usual 4 weeks. I came to get a pedicure with my good girl friend and the place looked beautiful inside but the customer service was HORRIBLE. There was no greeting or eye contact! I stood there for at least a minute without even being asked what i needed or how i could be serviced, and there were at least 4 workers at the front desk. I walked out! The only reason I'm giving them one star is because I cannot give them no stars!! Today, I went to AQ because my normal nail tech was unavailable to do my nails today so I decided to give them a chance. Once I got there, I showed them the first picture listed below and ask them if someone could do my nails like this and they said yes. So they sat me down and a lady came up and asked me what she could help me with today and I showed her the picture and asked her also if she could do this now design and she said yes. I came in with two week old nails so I need them to be taken off. The lady did a good job of taking my nails off and she tried her hardest to make my nails look like the picture but they did not. My nails were not even the same color let alone they were clumpy and unevenly shaped. She did not ask me what shape I wanted, she just began to shape them the way she felt. Not to mention, the nails were $80 and they didn't even look like the picture. So once I left & realized I didn't like them and I came back to hopefully get a refund or to get them redone. Once I got there I asked to speak to a manager and they did not want to give me a refund when I asked numerous times and insisted on trying to make it look more like the picture. I was very polite with them, they still gave me continuous attitude. So in the third picture you can see that the lady tried a different color and the lady that was doing my nails was one of the front desk ladies, not even a nail tech. The lady that tried to redo my nails constantly gave me attitude and terrible customer service. Once she tried to redo the nail and I told her I didn't like it and wanted all of them taken off she clipped them off and didn't even soak them off. Also, while doing my nails she also seemed like she didn't know what she was doing and her hands were very shaky. Right before I got my refund, the manager tried to also get an attitude with me before giving me my money back. I paid $80 for these & only received $60 back. my aunt and i walked into AQ nail salon after having a terrible experience at another nail salon and we were greeted warmly and immediately serviced for our pedicures. the spa was clean and inviting. despite them being closed by the time we got to my fill-in tina took very good care of me and executed some of my favorite acrylic sets ever. she was patient and was willing to work with me to achieve my desired look. we will definitely be back! read more

Very big and open. Looked clean. While there, I saw the floor being swept constantly. They have a lot of stations so I never really saw anyone wait.
