I felt like I was on a conveyor belt. The nail tech was extremely rough. The skin around my toes were raw. My manicure was so rushed that the gel is bubbly and stuck to my skin. I really like this nail spa, but the service my mother received was abhorrent and so this particular review is in reference to her service. My mother is not from the US and she was getting acrylics for the first time ever in her life. I told her that it was $35+ because that is what the price list said. "Cloudy" went to put the gel on and in the interim informed my mother of the 40 something dollar price. My mother told her that it was supposed to be 35$. She would like the 35$ one. Cloudy flared at her, grabbed her hand, and files the nail down almost to the skin. The other technicians later explained that the gel made the price go up. I watched Cloudy throughout the day. She did not interact with anyone. She blatantly ignored people. She looked unpleasant. Granted, I saw her taking Baclofen so she may have been in pain, but don't come to work if you are going to work with people and leave such a sour impression. read more

I am rating 1 star because 0 is not an option. I went in today with an appointment at 12:45 for a fill in with gel polish. I felt very rushed in picking my color, and once I did, I realized once they started painting, it was the wrong color. The technician told me "You picked the color before you sat down" and almost didn't want to get up to get the right color for me. He rushed through my nails, and painted them horribly. It looks like I got a fill two weeks ago.... I also didn't want them this short, and he kept on filing. I did not ask for this shape, nor did he ask what I wanted. I will not be returning to AQ, and I am sad they messed up my senior homecoming nails. Now I have to spend another $30 getting them done somewhere else, and possibly taking the chance of no where being able to get me in the DAY BEFORE homecoming. Very rushed and dismissive service! I requested a mani and pedi with dip for my hands. After basically being rushed through the pedi, I was directed to a guy to complete my mani. No soaking, no cuticle trim...NOTHING! I couldn't drive the distance to my regular tech so I decided to try them (AQ) since they were close. So my sister went to this place and need to get her nails done right. Then the lady who did her nails was named "tracy" she was being disrespectful. Cut way past my sisters cuticles and made her bleed droplets while trying to hide the fact that she cut my sister. Then to make the whole situation worse while she was drilling the nails she cut my sisters knuckle and just said "sorry" as a validation of her mistake. They didn't encourage customers to wear masks either, even some of the workers didn't wear them. Moreover, the guy that did my nails rushed his work and barely asked about what I wanted for my nails. I've been here enough times to where I feel I can give a fair review. Going to AQ has always been hit or miss for me. I have had a few great nail technicians, but I have had more bad experiences than good. It honestly depends on who you get. But after this last time, I think I am done with them. I had a very young girl give me a "manicure". If a manicure consists of getting your cuticles cut and nails painted (gel Polish) for $35, this is your girl. I didn't even get lotion on my hand until she saw me reach for the lotion on my own. By your then she was standing over me ready to collect my money, so why bother? The polish was chipping within the week. I've been to other salons who shake their head at the outrageous fees for the services provided by AQ. I am more than willing to pay more money to have my nails done, but I don't want Keystone nails if I'm paying Budweiser price. read more

Questionable business practices.....I purchased a $50 gift card for my mother from this location. A couple of days later I look at my bank statement and there is a $228 charge from this salon. After confronting the staff, I find out the individual who sold me the gift card decided to give themselves a $178 tip. A transplant from Chicagoland left me really looking for a place that offered services and quality. I have to say after ten plus visits I have not been dissatisfied. I stick with Tracy, but Amy and the other girls have done pedicures and other spa services on both myself and family members. Came in at 9:15 am on Monday and even though the business hours are 9:30 they were already open. Brought my mom in for a manicure and pedicure for her bday. It was my first time ever getting one. Good service with the same two women doing out pedi and mani. The pedicure was very relaxing and the massage chair works very well. The hot stones were very nice. Overall we had a wonderful experience and total time there was hr 30 mins with zero wait. Tons of staff. When we left at 11 the place was starting to fill up. And when I got to the chair, it was residue from someone else's feet on the footstool and a toenail in the chair. I asked her could she wipe it off, she gone tell me it had been wiped down. I almost said bitch where, but I held my composure. So instead of her doing it, she took the towel where my my feet wa supposed to go on, and she dust the chair off and the toe nails went into the water that she was preparing. Ok I WAS tried. Only rating 1 star because 0 is not an option. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes which speaks to the poor service and lack of time spent on my nails. I asked for a manicure with dip. I felt rushed when picking my color then the tech quickly slapped dip on my nails with minimal nail shaping or prep. He didn't touch my cuticles... When he finally spoke to me for the first time to tell me I was finished I questions why he didn't bother shaping my nails or cuticles. He said that came with a "manicure" and it would be $8 MORE. When I was clearly fed up he offered to give me a manicure but that it would be $8 more on top of the already $35 dip. I will not be back and plan to share my poor experience with others. read more

The guy doing my full set was in such a hurry that he clipped my skin off pretty good with the scissors . It bled and he continued on like nothing happened. I dropped by here an hour before close to just get a my nails filled. I told the man how I wanted my nails and he made one r e a l l y bad. I asked if he could re-do it and he got so mad. He actually just stared at me and tried to convince me it was good enough. It was crooked and shorter than the rest! Then he started handling my hands all roughly and when he re-did my nail after having to tell him sorry because i was unsettled by his energy. He looked furious. Then when he put on a new nail he just tore it off very roughly and it hurt. He didn't even tend to my nail he ripped he just put super glue on the nail and never did any of the tools on my nails just started putting the gel on and then the nail polish. I was in shock and silent as a hawk. I asked if he could make the new nail he put on the same as the other on the other hand and he looked at me like I was his worst nightmare. I genuinely wanted to walk out and go to my original nail place in the morning but didn't want to cause a ruckus. I was tired. I remember his name exactly and it was Tony. He was younger like me and definitely didn't care about detail or care. I see it as a slip in the crack in this business. If they keep treating customers with that kind of service no one will go there. And as a young client, women my age get their nails done often and I've lived here my whole life and been to almost every nail salon. But this one, is a trick to me. Your fooled by how nice it does look but the service is actually not good quality. Extremely disappointed and will not return or recommend. I hope they do better and I'm sure there are people in that salon that are REALLY good, I wish i enjoyed my experience more but this experience has me unsettled. The place is clean and nice looking BUT the service is terrible. I went in for a simple ombré nail...never been a problem at other salons. My nail tech was obviously bothered and tried rushing through, very rude. She just kept globing on a bunch of powder as practically all the staff stopped by to see her work which should've been my sign it was wrong. I wish I would've said something then, but I didn't want to question someone's job as I don't know how to do nails. We had a great experience here about a week ago. My mother and I each got the tangerine pedicure which was nice, as well as a gel manicure. There are so many options for types of speciality pedicures and manicures, it was a real treat, but they provide all of the standard services as well! The technicians were very nice, thorough and efficient, even while super busy during the holiday season. Rosie did my manicure and was very sweet. The salon itself was beautiful and very clean. I can't remember the last time I went and got a mani-pedi but I decided to treat myself today for Valentine's day. What a disappointing experience. The lady barely glanced at my nails every so often, just enough to do a minimally acceptable job. The polish is uneven, and is bubbled on every single toenail because she went so fast. I think maybe she was sick because she kept disappearing to have coughing fits. I feel bad for you, but why are you at work?? Thankfully she was wearing a face mask. If I had a complaint at all, it would be that they were really trying to push the dipped nail service on me. That's part of their job though I'm sure, so I'm not docking a star for that. Attempted to go tonight at 715. The doors were locked although the sign said they closed at 8. I Got in my car and started to drive off and decided to give them a call. A woman answered and said they were closed. I told her the sign eight and they may want to consider changing that if they actually closed earlier and she hung up on me. I called back and she hung up again without saying anything. So I called for a third time and I asked them what time they close, she said they took their last customer at 7:30. I told her I was up there at 7:15 and the door was locked. She did not have anything to say to that. I asked her if I could speak to the manager and she said she was the manager. I wished her best of luck with her business and ended the call. The last couple times I have been to this place it has been questionable but tonight sealed the fate. I will never go back to this place again. One time I went for dip and the man cut off all of my natural nails without even asking me if I wanted them to be cut off which I did not. Next to me there was someone with a bloody toe getting a pedicure and they continued to dig into his toe with their tools which was completely unsanitary and on the verge of surgical. The one in Collinsville is nice but this one is disgusting. There are about 50 other nail shops in the area I'd recommend almost any of them over this one. read more

Went for the first time, for a pedicure with 2 other friends. I asked my feet soak a bit since it's been awhile since I've had one. So 2 other ladies started my friends pedicure, then my lady came to start mine about 5 minutes or so later (which was fine since I wanted them to soak a bit), she went so fast that I was done before my friends who again where started at least 5 minutes before me. And right when she was done, did not even fan them dry a bit, and asking me to go out front already at dryer table, I said I would like to sit here moment so they dry and I don't mess them up walking. She grab my stuff and started get me out of the chair and insisted I go up there then I said there's already four people over there, not 6 foot apart, so they set me in a nail station chair with a fan. When toes were drying I noticed it was a sloppy paint job (my 6 yr old granddaughter could have done the same) and asked the lady to clean off a bit in one area so it didn't look sloppy, and on the end of another toe there was still some dried skin that all she should have already done was use a file and or buffer to get it off. So while cleaning off the smudgy paint job she took a bit of the nail polish remover and put it on the end of that tote with the dry skin ha thinking the liquid would cover it up for a second and that's what I told her what she could've done, then she said well you said it hurt your toe I said yeah my big toe she went in for my ingrown nail that doesn't mean I don't want the other toes files cleaned up and buffed. And she keep asking if I wanted my feet softer to get a better pedicure, and I said no not today just a regular pedicure since it's been awhile, and I wanted to see how she did. Well so glad I didn't pay for the upgraded since it was such a sloppy job and too fast. Pedicures are supposed yo be relaxing and not trying to hurry me out of the chair, I paid my bill just like all the other and had an appointment! I love how clean and pretty this place is. I've been several times but after last night I will not be returning. During my pedicure my legs were wrapped up I closed my eyes to relax only to find my tech removing my fingernail polish. She didn't ask, she asked if I wanted a manicure, I said No repeatedly. She continued to remove the nail polish I had on my hand. I can't get up and leave my legs are wrapped in plastic and hot towels. She was so pushy and wouldn't take no for an answer. So I ended up with a manicure I didn't want or need. I'm used to a little up selling but this was just too much.
