He was very kind, talkative and very thorough! He even removed a dead, mature bark scorpion in my ceiling lamp. I would give zero stars if I could. To start, this company WAS reliable and refreshing when we first started getting our monthly services from them almost two years ago. As time passed, though, that totally changed. We have had to reschedule some monthly appointments in the past two years because life happens. Who else can say that they will be available at the same day and time every single month with 100% certainty? I mean, come on!! Emergencies happen and unexpected, last minute events are planned. They re-scheduled maybe one appointment for us just fine, but anything after that was met with animosity. Our actual pest services also started out fine; however, as time progressed, we found the technician being lazy and not wanting to help with simple requests. We mostly have the outside of our house sprayed, but once in a blue moon we asked for the inside to be sprayed as well. It is so infrequent that we ask maybe once every 6-8 months. The last time we asked for the inside of our home to be sprayed, the technician almost blatantly told us "no" and then seemed to change his mind and spray the inside of our home with the harsh outside chemicals!! I'm not sure why they would ever find this acceptable because we have inside dogs (they know about our animals), and we would never want them exposed to these harsh chemicals. This is all from a company that told us to "call WHENEVER we needed anything". The final straw for us was when we received a nasty email from the owner himself stating that he would not re-schedule any future appointments. No personal regard to any family emergencies or any compassion at all. Seems like to me that this is a family-owned business that is probably very overwhelmed with their workload, but that doesn't make it acceptable to be blatantly rude to your paying customers I was very disappointed in the customer service we received and we will be taking our business elsewhere. Small tip to the owner: Don't lash out on your loyal and paying customers. It wont serve you well. 11/7- Astounded that the response I received from the owner clearly shows that the only concern for this establishment is to argue with their customers instead of addressing the concerns listed in my review. read more

I chose these guys based on Yelp...another victory for Yelp!!! :-) Prior to using A Reliable, I was using another guy, who was super cool but kind of a stoner...and whatever poison he was using wasn't working, as I still had a mighty roach problem. But after switching to A Reliable, my problem completely went away! Now I have no roaches whatsoever... I'm sure whatever chemical they're using can't be good for me, but at least there are no bugs crawling around my kitchen :/ These guys are realiable, prompt and courteous. They email you a few days in advance to remind you, giving you ample time to reschedule if needed. And it's only $25/month! But the best part is....my personal tech, Brandon, is hot as hell! Yes, it is real, a small town business in a big city. I am impressed. After reading a certain co Yelpers review who I trust I was intrigued by a great review. I did a lot of research and called a lot of companies even with a co Yelpers review. When I called I spoke to quite a few family members in my time on the phone with them and when they came to my new home. They had beyond reasonable pricing and made me feel extremly comfortable on the phone about the service they provide. I love a small business and will support them as long as the job is done well and it was. I didn't have any bugs that I knew of but moving into a new home you want to be safe. I was informed of all the options and I told them what I was interested in and they did it. The day was busy I met with the him and had to run off to deal with other workers in the move. He went around our unique property without question and came to me in the end with a report of what he found. These guys have done a great job on my property, and honestly, I haven't seen a single ant or earwig inside since these guys have been around. We used to give our business to Home Team, which were friendly and nice, but very expensive. These guys get the job done and very well. The first time they came to spray, I saw a HUGE, DEAD, black widow outside by my sidewalk! I have just completed my sixth month of service with A Reliable Pest Control, and it's about time I write a review--it's been overdue since the second month. A Reliable truly lives up to its name! Every month, I receive an e-mail reminder three days before the service like clockwork. A day before, I receive a phone call from my technician confirming the appointment. The day of the service, the technician always arrives at the same time--ten o' clock in the morning. Except for the first month in which I had to finally terminate my previous pest control service and Dan, the owner, sent out a great technician, Brandon, to accommodate me immediately, I have had the same technician, John, each month. He knows the drill here, and he is extremely courteous and efficient. John informs Dan that the service has been completed, Dan bills my credit card, I verify the payment with my credit card, and we're all good to go. There were only two things really reliable about my previous company: (1) One week before each bi-monthly service, a scorpion--dead or alive--would invariably turn up. It was as if it was alerting me, "Hey! It's time to call so-and-so back over to spray, fella!" I loathed the half-hour ritual of removing all items from the floor of each closet and bathroom just to ensure that they would not miss a spot because if I didn't make this effort, I would more often that not find scorpions in those concealed places. They were usually dead, but I didn't appreciate feeling that any spot left unsprayed was a threat. Of course, there was the drudgery afterwards of putting everything back in order. A Reliable uses a commercial grade spray which meets the pest control requirements of hospitals and child care centers. They only have to spray outside, and no scorpion or insect appears inside the house, period. (2) Every time the winds kicked up, I could count on at least one of the flimsy pigeon spike pads from my previous company to fall off the roof. (More on this point in a moment.) The other pest with which I had to contend is the flying rat commonly known as the pigeon. I hate the pooping bastards. I have a spa, the spill of which they would just love to use as their bath and drinking fountain. If I didn't have something to cover the spill (into the pool), not only would every neighborhood pigeon live in my backyard, the spa deck would be covered in mounds of their excrement. A few years ago, a friend put together a chicken-wire eyesore of a contraption to cover the spill, which I kept in place until this year, and I'll always give him credit for ridding my spa of pigeon visitations, but the damn thing was ugly, and it was downright ghetto. My friend apparently wasn't sure whether a spacecraft- or a tarantula design was more likely to scare off the bastards. It was a cross between the two. At any rate, Dan personally created a neat spill cover which he painted to blend in with the deck, and it wonderfully continues to prevent pigeons from landing on the spill at one-third of the size of the previous cover. A glance at the spa and you hardly realize it's there. Perhaps the best example I could give you of the commitment to service and quality which A Reliable offers is their pigeon spike pad. Let me begin this point my observing how dedicated the employees of this company are. I've met four of them, and they each praise the company and take to their own work with the fervor of a true believer. Steve Ryan, a huge heart on two legs, got up onto my roof in March, painstakingly on all fours cleaned up mounds of pigeon waste, which amassed due to the poor quality of spikes and netting used by my previous company, and passionately (from the roof) explained the durability of the particular adhesive he used to affix each replacement pad. Talk about the pads! These pads are twice as wide and thick as the competitor's, and consequently, they hold twenty spikes compared to just twelve on the others! I haven't had a single A Reliable pigeon spike pad fall since Steve did his work, and Las Vegas has some winds to rival those of the tropical storms in Florida! (How many of you recall the early 90s Las Vegas Hilton marquee--the tallest electric marquee in the world twenty years ago until some gusts toppled it onto the parking lot one July night in 1995?) Had several pigeons moving in to the eves of our home making a complete mess. Talked to Dan (owner) and although they could not schedule us for one week due to his pigeon removal guy having a family emergency and therefore out of town, when he did come the service was excellent and a quality job was done. He installed a cage to prevent future nesting and took his time in explaining everything he was going to do. We weren't certain we would need spikes placed, but he (I think his name was Jeremy, forgive me if I'm incorrect on that) said to wait and see what happens before spending the extra dime for the spikes. Well, we are so glad we took his advice as it has been several weeks now and we have no pigeons, so ARPC saved us money and did a great job too! Thanks guys!
